This review is for the companies with the domains taxconsulting.co.za and financialemigration.co.za. I app**** with them two months ago to start my financial emigration process. The first step was an audit of my SARS account to ensure compliance before submitting my application to cease tax residency. After making the initial payment, I waited a full month without any progress. I had to email them to prompt action, only to receive a form to link my SARS account to theirs. After completing this, another two weeks passed with no further updates. Frustrated, I requested a refund. They apologised, promised a timeline, and connected me with another tax specialist. I completed the form again, but another week went by with no results. Feeling stressed, I requested a refund once more. This time, they quickly responded, stating that the audit was in QA. I strongly discourage anyone from using their services. They delay at every step, and only when you ask for a refund do they suddenly claim significant progress.
I left South Africa little over a year ago. During the first year my account was blocked every 6 months and I had to send documents with my passport each time to get it unblocked. Then, a few months ago, they froze the account. After countless calls, having the call centre send me from pillar to post, and drop my calls, I decided to close my account. On the 12th of December, more than a month ago, I asked them to close my account via chat. Since then I followed up countless times with each agent just telling me the ticket has not been worked on and they escalated it. This evening it was the same, but I reached my final boiling point. The account is unnusable and acruing fees since I submitted my cancellation request. How can a bank charge you for a product that you cannot use and doesn't work on support tickets? Don't make the same mistake I did, close your FNB account before you leave South Africa. Heck, close your account even if you don't plan on leaving, they're not worth your hard earned money.
I signed up with this company for Fibre and the only one playing its part is Octotel. RSAweb's phone support takes forever, their ticket system gets no response and their Whatsapp is dead. Does this company have employees or is it all automated?
My experience with this company has been poor from day 1. When I ordered the simcard on the 24th of July they charged me for the package plus a delivery fee. The simcard arrived within 5 days but getting them to port my number and actually acknowledge it was on their network took me well into the following month. Then they charge me again at the end of August. Now, this is fine, I thought that you were simply paying in advance, never was I told that you actually pay in arrears. Their cell service is ****, you only get 3G unless you're in the city and some days the calls just get dropped the entire time. Raising an issue with them just means they open a ticket that never gets resolved. Their 24 - 48 hours has taken two weeks. Their customer support sounds like they just entered the industry, spinning on ever questions, and every time you call its a different story. Last week I sat on the phone with a gentleman that told me there was no notice period and I should cancel on the last day to avoid any additional charges. That was after it took him quite a while to figure out that I wasn't on a data contract with a device but rather a sim only contract. Only to be told something completely different by another consultant today when I phone in to cancel. When I kept on asking that I want the call to be pulled, the consultant spoke over me. They know they are in the wrong but doesn't want to resolve the issue. Stay away from this network, they are thieves, liars, and a bunch of lazy a$$hole$ that doesn't know what the hell they are doing.
Two weeks have passed struggling to get a paid-up letter from this company. Their Hellopeter team blows me off, their call centre says they'll call me back and all the while they're just not doing anything to fix their mistake.
I received a paid-up letter on the 19th of June 2020 with an email confirming that my accounts have been settled. Imagine my surprise when I get a credit report from Kudough this morning stating that they are now saying on my credit report I owe them R11,000.00. They have ruined my chances at getting a home loan which means its going to take me months to build up my score again.
Beware of signing up with Vodacom. They are crooks and when you don't settle the random amounts they decide you owe, they put slashes against your credit report. I have tried resolving their mess with the call centre, collections department, and HelloPeter. But, no joy. Next step is reporting them for fraud.
In April I cancelled my Fibre line with Vodacom and they confirmed the line was closed and they confirmed that it was processed. Now, in August, I check my credit report only to see that they reported I missed a payment this month. I call in, as I just applied for a rental property, and after a long hold time, I get told that the customer support rep can't provide me with any documents to prove I processed the cancellation or that they made a mistake, although she can see they generated another service invoice by accident. Now I have to wait and possibly be declined for my rental property because they made a fork up. I want my name cleared and a letter stating my account was closed!
I have been trying for months now to port my number from FNB connect. Every time I speak to an agent the story is different. Yesterday we finally got somewhere, they confirmed and cancelled two port out requests. Then I resubmitted my port out request and they automatically declined it. Now I am on the phone with an agent that refuses to help me. I am so tired of this nonsense. I am reporting them to ICASA
This place's service is disgusting. Nothing just works without having to pay an extra fee. Firstly, they can't assign a different domain to a hosting package (which you purchased with them) which every other hosting company can. You need to cancel an old hosting package and then pay an R89 penalty to purchase another hosting package for R89. You can't purchase a domain and change the name servers, you need to pay R5 a month to enable the name server update feature. I am going to report this company to ZACR.
