As my previous review has been removed, but the problem remains unchanged, I will re-review. We booked for an expo which was twice postponed on very short notice, and after the second last-minute postponement I requested a refund for our tickets as we could no longer attend. At this stage none of my emails or Whatsapps are answered regarding the promised refund. No refund has been received. Terrible experience.
Last year I booked for an Expo, which would've happened in January. It was postponed a few days before the date, to March. We arranged our travels, and again, a day or two prior to the promised Expo date, it was 'postponed' to May. I informed them that we cannot change our travel arrangements at such short notice for a second time, as we'd likely not get refunds on accommodation, etc. - note: at that time, NONE of their email addresses worked; I was told on Whatsapp, when someone finally answered, that they'd been offline for that week. I was promised a refund. But, until now, nearly two months after the promise of a refund, I have yet to receive any form of refund for the tickets I'd purchased. Also, none of my queries are being answered at all. Neither on the email address where I had to send my details for the refund, nor on their Whatsapp number where I was initially promised a refund. This is a terrible first experience, I feel ****med, and I will never be using them again.
A little hidden gem within the depths of a medically-focused Witbank building, @La Vie have outdone themselves this time! I have, on a handful of occasions, sampled various goodies off their menus, and they've always been excellent quality at a ridiculously good price. But this, this R250 'I just need something small for five people' platter has merited a bit of recognition. If you consider that I left my ordering rather late, and the fact that they had to cater for a private function the morning before I needed my platter, it just gets better. Expectations were conservative. The platter was not. I'd given them very little demands, and I got a 'platter for five' that three of us ended up packing lunchboxes from for the following day. The ribs and their sticky sauce were divine, as were the sweet tartlets, chicken strips, little sausages, and everything between. They deserve a ten out of ten for this one. All weekend long!
We were treated to a year-end trip to this little cove of creativity. What a great way to spend a morning, surrounded by greenery in the heart of the city - snacking away at a selection of decadent cakes, while putting your free-reigned creativity to the test on whatever blank piece of pottery you have selected from their shelves. The cappuccinos were some of the best I have had the pleasure of consuming; and I have consumed many, from here to the Cape and back. Once your masterpieces are ready, you leave them to be baked; we'll have our microwave safe, usable art within a few weeks. Can't wait!
Yesterday (8/11/2022) was my first interaction with a Sausage Saloon. It was impulsive, a spur-of-the-moment thing. I'd been criss-crossing the battlefield that is the Highveld Mall when, for the umpteenth time, my path led me past this wiener-haven. And this time, my willpower was bludgeoned by curiousity. Upon reaching the counter, I was greeted by the brightest ray of African sunshine, whose name I unfortunately never asked. This here lady took my order and asked me whether I needed something to drink in such a way that one would be excused if you automatically said 'yes please', even though you were already sipping at a bucket of cola. While I was waiting for my bun, and since it was a slow day, she conversed with me like we've been friends for like, forever. Her personality could run that shop all on its own. Never let her escape, she's a gem. And considering that she lives in an area that has been without electricity for weeks now, with unrest causing her restless nights, her level of customer service and delightfulness is unreal. Oh yes, my mini bites & chip roll was a solid ten out of ten. Chips were perfect. Bun was fresh. Mini bites were cheesy (in a good way). Top commendation to the cook, too. I shall be returning. Top service, must recommend.
Recently, my wifi at home decided to go on strike at a very inopportune time. As a writer of MotoGP reports, I needed to find somewhere I could use free Wifi to watch the races as I wrote. Piatto Midwater (Middelburg) ended up coming to my rescue. Super friendly, and mindful to not disturb you too often while you are working - the food and coffee was great as well! They will definitely see me again sometime. Thank you. You #WIN
It's always a great experience, eating at Hobo's Cafe in Middelburg, MP. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. Their value-for-money prices are a bonus.
We received an order through Flora Niche, it was delivered as per order, and they are now refusing to pay us (the florist). They allege the client was not happy, yet the client had not been refunded by them, either. We have also been in contact with said receiver of the order. Staff are rude and terribly unprofessional.
In a modern world of shoddy customer care and where complaints usually outnumber compliments, I just want to give a huge shout out to the Customer Interaction Centre (CIC) of Coca Cola SA. I bought a 440ml can of Coke at the café close to work, and after a few sips realized it didn't taste at all right. Upon inspection, it looked much paler in colour than it should (tasted like soda water with a hint of Coke). I contacted Coke via Facebook as their website's contact page wasn't working. This was late on Friday. Monday morning I received a reply asking for contact details. From there they contacted me via email and arranged to come see me. Their consultant (I'm sorry but I forgot your name) phoned me and came to pick up the half-full can the next day. He even followed up with the café owner and his supplier. Extremely fast, friendly service.
