At the end of Nov 2023 I got a call from a Melissa of Capitec ***** dept. My caller id also said ***** dept. She informed me someone was trying to buy on my bank ACC at Takealot for R14K. I laughed as I didn't have that in my bank acc. She proceeded to ask me to say yes or no to the following questions. She mentioned everything my full names, my id, both my cell numbers which is not even registered in my name, my bank account number, my debit orders and how much I paid on each debit order. I trusted her as she could mention all of these. She told me to look on my banking app as the person put an extra account onto my bank account and lo and behold there was a Takealot account on it. She sent me a QR code with the capitec logo on it and told me to scan it. Remember this woman had everything detail of mine so who was I not to trust her. But before I did the scanning R878 mtn airtime went off my account. In order to stop what these people were doing I had to scan the QR code in. When this happened she asked me to do cashsend to myself but not to tell her any of the numbers. I did it and she told me to go to the bank and get the cashsend there. I had to use the banks code as a pin number, which I did. Only to be informed that 2 months worth of debit orders were reversed and that they were in my online banking while I was in my mobile app. I have taken this up with the bank and the banking ombudsman. Bank says "Oh its Vishing" and that's that. I am still awaiting a response to my 3 or 4 emails I have sent to the ombudsman. This person had all my details before I even did anything, debit orders and how much I pay on them, I feel that someone on the inside is leaking information. I will never do any big banking with them again
On Black friday i ordered a whole Karoo lamb which was suppose to be 13kg @ R1273,50 as well as 5 x R15 burgers and a box of Trymore Beef Dhanya burgers. Saturday while I was at a function the order arrived minus the whole lamb. My daughter accepted the other things but wrote in Red on the drivers sheet that we did not receive the whole Lamb. I proceeded to email them on Sunday as a reminder. Monday afternoon I called them and spoke to a lady whose name I did not take who informed me that it was out with the driver. Tuesday it still was not here and I spoke to Venecia who informed me that I would receive it that day. Today being Wednesday 29 November 2023 my daughter called Venecia who informed her that she forgot to log it on the 28th November but would call her back. After numerous attempts after this to call them and no response only a machine, I have still not received anything. This is really really unprofessional and I will not buy from them again.
signed an offer to purchase in December 2022. Relocated from PE to CPT in January 2023. Was never informed that the property was a deceased estate property. Family viewed the property for me. Part of Deed of sale was that electrical and roofing was going to be seen to and i asked to be part of it and informed when it was done so i can give my input as to where plugs should be installed. Roof leaked badly onto cornice and ceiling. I was never informed when electrical was done so plugs and switches was just put in anywhere. light switch for a passage was put at the end of the passage instead of at the beginning, kitchen light switch at end and ***gybacking off a double plug switch. passage ceiling also had a leak and had mould on it. When i viewed the property after relocating it was packed full of boxes and the place was extremely dark. I have informed the agent and the lawyer that i was not happy with electrical and the roofing on various occasions. day I got the keys the house was left in a state previous owner didnt even think to take a broom to it but i left it. the next day it was raining, roof is still leaking and i discovered other faults that was not disclosed to me and which i could not see when i went to view the place. It is almost 3 weeks since i have the property, roofing guys came out to see to it as agent requested but it is still leaking. I have a contractor working on the property as I had to practically gut the whole inside of the property. I cannot do anything where the leaks are taking place and i have contacted the agent as well as the lawyer and they are not bothered as all monies were paid over. The lawyer informed me the property was bought voetstoets even though these faults was what was suppose to have been fixed before the sale took place. Both lawyer and Agent dismisses me or the agent says the guy will come out today, I have my goods in storage, I have a contractor busy with the property and he cannot continue if the leak is not seen to. My family and I are living with my mom for the past 8 months as this is how long it took for the property to be transferred on my name.
This is my complaint which i just copied from the email i sent them I hereby wish to lodge a complaint. Myself and 6 other family members were passengers on your bus travelling from Cape Town to Midrand. Firstly it was so hot on the bus when i asked the driverbto turn the heater down or off he said that if he does that he will get too cold. We had a year old baby with us and had to practically strip him down and take our jackets off as the heat was unbearable. Secondly a long stop was made without explaination only to discover that they were waiting for a replacement driver. Thirdly instead of arriving in johannesburg at 14h05 we arrived at Park Station at about 16h45. We dropped off passengers and waited to leave to Big Bird which was our stop. After waiting 10min a passenger then came to tell us, not a driver, that we were waiting for another bus as the bus we were on was making a noise and couldnt go further. Another 20 to 30 minutes later another passenger came to tell us the other bus arrived and we need to get onto it. We as passengers had to move our own luggage from one bus to the other. The driver only handed it to us and in the process pushed a heavy bag onto my foot. I did not feel anything until i got to my destination and took off my boots. Fourthly we had to struggle with small kids and 5 big bags to get from one bus to the other without the help of any of your drivers or staff members another passenger seeing us struggle helped us, then the driver of the first bus had the audacity to shout us to get on the other as that bus had to pick up passengers to go to durban. He was extremely rude and his tone was aggressive. Travelling with me is my mother who is 74. The second bus was a double decker and she struggled to get up the stairs as there was no place for her downstairs. As i am writing this email it is 3.30am and i am in excruciating pain. My foot is swollen and i can hardly tramp on it. I now have to fork out unnecessary money in the morning for a doctor and my sleep has been broken due to the pain i am in. I would like to know what is the way forward pertaining to my injury caused by your driver and your staffs attitude. The injury was caused by your drivers lack of willingness to help his passengers and him throwing the bag out of the bus without caring if there were breakable items inside. The other inconveniece was us arriving at our stop about 2 to 3 hours later.

Once again, even after emailing various people in this company almost on a daily basis, am I getting nowhere with getting my money for the refund I have requested. I get the runaround everytime with this one asking that one etc and nothing. When I had to pay them I did not hesitate but when I did not use the service and want my money back it is a problem. Not even the common decency to give you a proper answer.
I booked for them to take my vehicle from PE to CPT, and paid for it but unfortunately, I could not let them take it as I had to use it for my trip from PE to CPT. I did inform them. I was issued with forms to be refunded of the money I had paid. I was informed that it would take 14 working days and I waited the 14 working days and to date nothing. After 14 working days, I informed them that I did not receive the money. I have sent emails to them and got the runaround. I have informed them that I would like to receive my payment immediately as I have already waited the 14 working days, which I feel is fair, but to date nothing.
After having some problems with Onair TV and back and forth with one of their consultants named Jamie Nunnian. I was helped. She went out of her way to try and get me my refund back. She kept me up to date with what is happening and if something she promised did not happen she would profusely apologise and try her utmost to get my problem solved. Thank you Jame Nunnian for your undivided attention and dedication.
I was called to ask whether I wanted a new pvr decoder. I was informed by the agent that the HD decoder was an old one. I specifically asked who is going to pay for an installer to come out to install the new pvr and I was informed 3 or more times on this same call, that the pvr would be a plug and play. Well, when the decoder came guess what I had to get an installer for it which cost me R1400.00. After calling onairtv I was informed it would take 7 working days for them to listen to the tapes to see what transpired. After 9 working days I called back only to find out they still did not listen to the tapes. After nearly 27 working days I got a call to say that their agent did advise me that it was plug and play now I had to wait 21 working days for my money to be refunded. I am still waiting on a refund since 26/07/2022
I left mweb as they dropped Sadv and went over to vumatel. I saw a better deal with afrihost. I signed up and gave a month's notice with mweb. Last day of May mweb reminded me that they were switching me off on the 1st June. 1st June I notified afrihost on their whatsapp page that mweb released my line and that they should make arrangers to migrate me to feogfoot. I have now whatsapped everyday since the 1st, I have telephoned and spoke to agents only to find out that they onlybput my order through on the 4th of June. It is now the 7th I still do not have fibre I am spending money on data for my phone in order that I can work and to top it all one of their telephone agents this morning, a guy whose name I forgot, kinda told me indirectly, that there is nothing they can do I just have to wait. This is totally unacceptable, will not recommend afrihost to my friends and family
