TLDR: Don't be fooled by the positive reviews, they make a thing about getting people to write a positive review after the first consultation before they know any better. Stay away and warn others, they lie through their teeth and are just another front for the same ***** institutions (Feenstra, Emira/bet all investments, legacy education) that prey on people trying to get started in the property investment game. This is a long one but bare with me especially if you are looking at signing up with these ****** or any like them: A couple of years after I burnt my fingers with the rich dad poor dad/ legacy education **** I decided to look into IGrow again seeing as they were supposed to be the "good guys" who did property investment by the books. I had many sessions with one of their consultants and all looked good so I decided to bite the bullet and take a unit at the Bolton, Rosebank. I made it very clear that there were certain criteria I needed from the unit in order to go through with it as a first time investor; #1 being that the unit needed a tenant which I was assured of it did, they even had very convincing paper work showing monthly rental payments. #2 No surprise buttseks levies being pulled out of thin air. #3 Capital growth which was a very big selling point of this unit seeing as it was "sought after investments" that would grow in value in the next few years according to them. #4 Some kind of assurance that the units are in demand so that it would not sit empty to which I was assured there is a long waiting list of people who want to rent these units. Fast forward to end of Oct 2023 the debit orders start going off and low and behold the levies are more than was originally discussed and no rental money comes in. I reached out to the team of "experts" and as you can imagine the urgency was non existent. After I badgered them they finally admitted that the supposed tenant had not renewed her lease very coincidentally (coincidence #1) the same month I took the unit over and they had not noticed, quite a thing for a rental agency to say. So I figured that would not be a problem, we can just pull another tenant from the magical waiting list which was obviously nothing more than a sales gimmick and did in fact not exist. I decided to keep an eye on the other units on their site and what do you know they were coming and going so the excuse they gave me of no one suddenly being interested in these units anymore was an absolute crock of ****e. I fought with them for months and had several calls with the dishonest ***ard of a salesman that got me into this mess, Gavin Mkhabela, to no avail. It was just excuse after excuse or rather lie after lie until they were backed into a corner. After several months of fighting and losing money we start the argument about who is going to reimburse me for the damages caused by their negligence. Then they tell me that it's actually the developer (Feenstra/bet all investments, Emira) who is at fault for not notifying them of the tenant not renewing their lease and that I should talk to their lawyers about it. Good to see those admin fees at work... After insisting that THEY deal with THEIR developer to fix the mess THEY caused Gavin tells me "You know mos, these guys are difficult." What a thing to say to someone who's livelihood you just jeopardized for a quick buck. Long story short and to no surprise the developers were not interested in taking any accountability whatsoever for the thing they literally admitted to doing. They are the sleazy "see you in court" types. So I got a lawyer who specializes in this sort of filth and requested all of the correspondence from IGrow regarding the unit so that we could review it for our legal standing which I am still waiting on a year later. And would you look at that just a couple of hours after sending an email threating them with legal action a tenant falls out of the sky midday on a friday in the middle of the month who wanted to sign the contract that same day and move in the following week. What are the chances??(Coincidence #2) This seemingly conjured out of thin air tenant in response to the threat of legal action also coincided with almost every person I had been dealing with "Taking on new roles" or "Pursuing new opportunities." (Coincidence #3) Fast forward a couple of months I am still trying to get this unit sold so that I can be done with IGrow's lack lustered *********** attitude then I get an email saying "Oh hey by the way we never registered the rates account and you owe over 10K now." Again there was zero accountability because it was yet another ***** third party's stuff up which IGrow does business with called piramid eiendomme. Funny how little IGrow actually does so that they don't have to take ownership of the garbage they peddle. Always someone else's fault and they're always the same kind of ****my people. Fast forward again to current times in Feb 2025 I am still struggling to get the "sought after" train wreck of an investment off of my hands cause no one is interested, I am paying twice as much on the ever growing list of levies as I was originally told I would and in total my monthly expenditure on this unit is is shockingly close to double of the amount it brings in every month. This "opportunity of a lifetime" investment now needs it's home loan paid off almost entirely just for me to break even. It's so bad that it would be comical if it were not so sad. After doing a fair amount of research and legal consultation I can conclude that IGrow is nothing more than a front for some of the most predatory and immoral institutions in the south african property market. IGrow does not deal in investment opportunities, it deals in racketeering and willful ignorance. A side note for anyone reading this: If a sales person uses their religion or children to try and convince you that they are honest and trustworthy they most likely are neither.
These guys are absolute con artists, stay well clear of anything related to them, tigrent learning or anything related to rich dad. Their entire process is meticulously developed down to the finest detail to put dreams of financial independence and leisure into the poor saps’ heads at their seminars; I was one of those saps. Once they get you interested you shell out a small amount for a weekend long event where you were “learn the basics” but it is actually just a glorified upsell where they convince you that you really need one of the higher packages if you want to live those dreams of yours and you have to get it before the end of the weekend otherwise you will pay more and not get these exclusive bells and whistles. I signed up with a friend of mine and we managed to get them to let us pay off the amount over a couple of months as it was too much to shell out in one go. As we were nearing the end of our payments I tried to contact them to find out where our account was standing so we could settle it and go to our “advanced” course and start getting couching. I got no response from them for weeks so naturally we stopped paying. Eventually I reached out to as many other contacts I could find related to them and still got nothing back. Eventually after a month or so I managed to get a hold of someone that helped sign me up through their personal facebook account and found that Legacy education just jumped ship out of South Africa and left both their clients and their employees in the lurch. I got pointed in the right direction and eventually got a response from legacy education saying that our cancellation period has already passed and basically because of covid they can not deliver on the product they sold us. They used the virus as an excuse, not the fact that they just ******ed off without telling their clients or even saying “Hey, these contacts we provided you will no longer work, please use these ones.” So now what must I do? Go to London to get what I paid for? Wait for legacy to one day come back to South Africa, if ever? That does not work for me at all and after my experience with these crooks I will do anything I can to make sure they do not come back here or have a presence in this country, they have zero intention of helping people, they are only coming here to exploit desperate individuals and make poor people poorer. If I actually got something for my money and did nothing with it, it would be a completely different story but I got nothing. My lawyers are currently preparing a case so we can get our money back. South Africans aren’t the kind of people that take this kind of treatment laying down so I urge anyone reading this who have experienced similar treatment from anyone in the rich dad mob to get lawyers involved and to reach out to me and each other so we can fight back as a united front to keep these crooks out of our country.

This is the kind of company that takes advantage of people that don't know any better and just pays whatever they get billed for. Everything about them just screams "I could not care less about my customers". First off I signed up for 20gb pm LTE to try out these clowns as I needed something mobile. It took around two weeks for me to get a router and only because I ended up telling the courier to wait for me where ever he was so I can come to him and collect it because he was just too useless or lazy to figure out simple instructions such as "ask for me at reception". The internet itself was quite terrible even though I was well in range of LTE coverage but I dealt with it because it was quite cheap and you get what you pay for. A couple of weeks later they advertised the "Amazing uncapped LTE that will solve all of your problems (but not really) package" at a pretty decent price so I thought let me give this a go so I cancelled my 20gb package to switch over to the uncapped. Good lord was that a mistake. I struggled with the same useless courier that still could not figure out simple instructions. The internet on average got 0.1mb download speeds, best of times I got around 1mb. Stable internet is crucial for my job so I had to get that sorted which resulted in me paying a small fortune in mobile data because I had to use my phone as a hot spot. I spent the next week, probably more, just trying to get a response out of them on email, phone and whatsapp. Not a single one of the lazy ****s could make any effort. Eventually one of them managed to pry themselves out of their coma to respond and tried to come up with all sorts of excuses. Eventually they switched it back but never told me that it was my responsibility to return the router. Again I tried to get a response out of them regarding the router but unfortunately they had all sunken back into their vegetative states and could not respond. A couple of months later I got a debit for the router that prevented my medical aid from going off. So I incurred penalties and of course all the debt counsellors come out of the wood works to "save" you cause "you missed a payment mos?". So again I tried to rouse them from their comas and was unsuccessful. Funny enough though as soon as I called sales they answered withing seconds... So after making a big scene they said they would give me my money back once I return the router. Now I want to cancel everything I have with these slimy, scaly, snakes in the grass and they want to come with this month's notice garbage after all the grief they put me through. I have dealt with a lot of incompetent, lazy and downright arrogant companies but these guys take the cake by far. I despise telkom and I would choose them over WebAfrica in less than a heartbeat, hell I would literally go anywhere else even if I had to pay more purely because there is a concept of after sales support and integrity. TL;DR Dodgy contracts that are hard to get out of without paying more and zero support, like less than telkom, which in honesty defies logic but here we are. They will lie to you and steal from you then make you pay for the privilege of being done in. Go literally ANYWHERE else.
Absolute garbage company. Unprofessional, rude and incompetent staff. They had to drop my package off at work, and could not figure out simple instructions like "I can't take personal calls at work so just ask for me at reception." The courier would stop outside, try to call me on my phone, have it ring three or four times, hang up and then leave saying he could not deliver the package. This happened three times. Trying to communicate with their phone staff was just as lacklustered, half of them sounded like I woke them from a nap and the others just kept replying with "Eish, we will try again tomorrow. Sorry ne." When I finally got through to someone capable of making an effort it was done in between random screaming and load music in the background. After several abysmal attempts from them to do something as simple as dropping off a package I got him to tell the courier to wait wherever he is so I can come and pick it up from him myself. So not only did they waste my time and money but I had to do the job myself in the end.
Don't. Just don't. You WILL waste your money on these clowns and they WON'T care. When they say "full" hospital cover, they don't mean it. When they say "private " hospital cover, they don't mean it. When they say they will cover X amount of medication, they won't. When they say they will cover sports injuries, they're lying. They will let you down when you need them most. Every. Single. Time. Come the end of the month however they are very quick to take legal action if you can't afford to pay them as a result of you having to pay for 90% of the things they said they would pay for. And on that note I quote from their list of company values as per their website: "Integrity, honesty and fairness". Well then... I had to go to hospital for an emergency recently, felt like I was about to kick the bucket and as far as I went I still made double sure that my medical "aid" would cover the costs. They did not cover a single cent, no exaggeration. They even sent me another bill a couple of days later that was more than the original amount I had to pay. Only helping hand I have ever seen from discovery in any of these situations is the one that gathers the s****s from my bank account at the end of the month. This is not the first time I have had to count on them to bring their side of the agreement and been let down but it will definitely be the last. If you say you are going to cover someone in the event of an emergency you cover them, full stop. Don't come with this fine print bs at that point. If you can't deliver that which is the bare minimum of what you promise then leave the table and make room for someone that actually wants to do some good in this world. Discovery is not for people that need to be frugal with their money to get through the month or people with common sense, it's for people with more money than sense, people that don't care where their money is going. In other words people that don't care if they get *****ed over or not.
We ordered our food from the Lynnwood branch as the Menlyn branch no longer delivered to our area. The food arrived two hours later with no drinks and half the order wrong. Once we could finally have our lunch the bread was soggy and it was all in all just disappointing. That evening I started getting symptoms of food poisoning and spent my weekend in agony after which I eventually ended up in hospital. At the time of this review it is a week and a half later and I am only starting to get back to a normal lifestyle again. This has been a massive medical expense to me, not to mention the losses from not being able to attend my various places of work and/or meetings. After bringing this to the attention of this establishment I received a call from a lady who was very "sorry" but not in the least bothered about the fact that I have a massive hole in my wallet because of their negligence. She said she would talk to her higher ups and get back to me. I am still waiting. I have never been more disgusted in the blatant disregard of a customer's well being by an organization as I have with these clowns and I 100% regret ever supporting their business. I will not be making that mistake again.

I have been trying to get a hold of the customer service guys for the past couple of days now to just transfer my membership to a different branch. After many attempts, including a complaint on the website itself, the most I got from them was an automated response regarding my complaint.

This is not the first time I have experienced this pathetic, careless attitude towards a paying customer from them. Its always a week to a month long fight to get anything done with the planet fitness admin guys and more often than not the problem arises again in future. The only time I have ever heard from them is when they have had a problem with the debit order, quick to take the money but when they need to deliver it seems the general attitude is f**k the customer. I have not spoken to a single person that has or has had a membership with planet fitness who has not had the same treatment.

So unless customer service is a premium membership facility I suggest someone at the top gives whoever is in charge of customer service a swift boot up the **** and get someone in there who is actually willing to earn their job.

Yours Sincerely

A gatvol customer
