My naam is Anna Gericke en ek boer in Sandkraal Plaas, Swellendam. P.S. Ek sal nie vir Acutunix adviseer om mee te begin nie, want die prosesse, voordat jy die lening kry, is baie moeilik en frustrerend.
After seven years of being a client with FNB business I have had an terrible experience. My business ( a registered company which means it is a legal person on its own) did some business with Bangladesh exporters that paid by Letters of Credit. Firstly my incompetent business manager calls to tell me that see sees I have an outstanding letter of Credit worth R1,2 million and how am I going to pay it. This is so laughable because in the first place this letter of credit was incoming meaning it was money due to me but even worse... somebody in that bank have read through this guarantee 5 times because they charge you R570 every time somebody reads through the Letter of credit. Long story short the money was due to me but she who is my business banking manager did not have a clue. Then I applied with her... becasue she is my first contact point with finance to bridge this to enable me to pay the freight on the exported goods. She came back and told me that I have owed apparently in my personal capacity the bank R37 000 for 13 years... and although they have had all my contact details for 7 years they never asked me about it or contacted me about it so it can be settled... according to law negative credit can not be held against a person longer than 5 years ... worse this was not even in the entity that held the accounts name... Then I asked her... the manager if there is some way I can assign the proceeds of the LC's to the shipping company.. her answer was that the bank can not guarantee money that they have not received yet despite them hold guarantees for more than R5 million rands. only to be informed a week later by someone who works with it that it can be done! This whole situation is the reason I have now lost more than R5.4 million rands. I have never ever been treated so desperately incompetent by someone earning a salary to be helpful but is only completely incompetent and without training and knowledge. They are worth less than the one star rating. a credit profile I have worked years on getting back to good now down the drain again because my business banker would be better of working as a media relations officer.
More than a month ago after really struggling to pay my bakkie I eventually was able to pay the full outstanding amount as given to me by the consultant who worked with my account. Since then I have been struggling to get my "paid up letter" and connected to that the papers for my vehicle. I have called them numerous times only to be transferred up to eleven times per call with absolutely no joy and none of the promised e-mails ever came through despite me confirming and listening to 11 consultants spelling my email address. I have never ever worked with such incompetent people and I am sure not one person before me has paid an account with MFC in full. I have even traveled to the nearest Nedbank branch and tried to get help but after sitting "in line" for more than an hour I left. This business is not only pathetic they are absolutely useless.
The loans are not is company's loans are not 100% legit as one of the previous reviews says. They never during the whole time of our dealings have been truthful about payments that need to be made to them. First, they charge you R8550.37 for an Admin fee assuring you that this will be the only money you need to pay to them. Then suddenly they ask you for collateral.. which they should have asked you when you filled in the form so that they could tell you if you do not have collateral that covers twice the amount you want to borrow( commercial banks ask for far less) Then they tell you because you do not have collateral you will need to pay R50 000 for insurance and an R1000 + legal fee. Which you would not have needed to do if they told you about the collateral issue from the start. Then after you have done this they send you a completely suspect bank webpage of a bank that can not be traced on the internet and this is after they have assured you time and again that they will release the money. Suddenly you have to release the money but to do that you need a COT code for which you have to pay R300 000. They give you no guarantees and when you confront them about not being honest about no further money it is the transferring bank that needs to be paid. What American bank would need to be paid in South African Rand? No South African bank ever charges more than R625 for an inward transfer but this untraceable bank charges R300 000 in ZAR ? Then after much ado, after I have made a case at the police the loan officer writes me a mail to say they have sorted out the COT code and i must go and release the funds but this is also just so much bull. Then suddenly all of this is my fault? and that they will release the money if I withdraw all my negative reviews with the bank, Hellopeter, and the police. Anyway, the case is being investigated as we speak. I have also laid a formal complaint with their bank as well as with the NCR because they use their NCR registration number to comfort the lender into thinking that the NCR has input in their business and they act according to the NCR rules.. They do not. Think carefully before you engage in any business with this company. I actually wrote a far more stringent review on this Company but despite it being the truth hellopeter does not want it published.
This is a total prepay loan scam. I also blame HelloPeter for allowing fraudulent reviews and not making 100% sure that the reviews published can show the success of the transactions they have done. Mario Menezes from Acutunix took R8500 from me for the registration of a loan. Assuring me that that is the last money to be paid towards the loan. Then suddenly he calls to say that you need collateral for twice the amount you want to borrow..That insurance was paid and you are sent the internet web page of SPB bank which is not a commercial bank at all. Then you are allowed to withdraw your money after Mario has repeatedly assured me that he will release the money.. suddenly you have to release your money.. Wonderfull accept that to do that you need to pay a R300000 fee to get a so-called COT code. When any money coming into South Africa has a maximum cost of R620. not once have I transferred money into any of the commercial banks and had been asked to pay upfront a sent. The normal way of doing this is that all costs is taken from the money before the money is transferred into the designated account. All of this is definitely a sign of a prepay scam. I am sorry I trusted this company with money and I am even more sorry that they are targeting farmers in South Africa who already struggle to get loans from commercial banks.
After my car, a Volkswagen Polo was at Manimachs Gansbaai for weeks from the 27th of May to the 18th of June for a replacement head gasket when I received my car back and drove home ( 120km) it was idling unevenly and stuttering all the way. On our arrival home I immediately wrote a mail to inform them that there was a problem with my car. The car also had no power. I took it back and was told by the machanic the the system just had to be "burned" clean. Now just oven 1000km later (of which 360 km was driven to get the car back to the garage to be told the system needs to be driven to get clean) the head gasket again blew and according to the engineer now looking at it, the stutter was because Manimachs never set the timing right in the first place, after they worked on the car. I contacted Manimachs about this because I feel I paid for a vehicle that was not fixed and I demand to get my money back, so I can at least pay part of the other mechanic's fees. Manimachs had their lawyer send me a mail that I should not have driven 1000km with the car but I fail to see what more I could do but take it back to them...which I did and still it was not fixed. I feel that I should get more out of an R8460,00 mechanical job than just over 1000km and therefor my poor rating.
i had cancelled my account with Elite mobile allready in October within a day after I first received the call from their sales department because the phone they were offering were not big enough to handle the business. Although they accepted the cancellation and despite me having called them every month they still to this morning keep taking money from my account. this morning the call centre assistant put down the phone in my ear . I was angry but I feel I have the right to be and they make effort to sort out the problem
<p>On 14 November2016 I made a payment to a supplier in Costa Rica using the international business online platform. late that afternoon I was informed that the Bill of lading supplied to me by the client was fraudulent. becasue it was after hours ( Costa Rica is 8 hours behind us in Time) I had to wait until the next morning( Date of vallue for transaction) to stop this payment which I immediately did. I was informed that the money will take 3 working days to be back in my account but that although this money have been withdrawn from my account it has not been requested by the foreign bank yet. This was repeated to me the next day and the day afterwards by different consultants ( I have all this recordings) Weeks afterwards I was informed by the business complaint centre that the money was paid out to the beneficiary. We are now 8 months later and Standardbank just denies liability eventhough I have done everything humanly possible to stp this payment from going through. I not only have lost my money I have also lost my contract with the clients and am now being taken to court becasue of this. I have lost my credibility as a relaible supplier and all of this because Standardbank prefers to enable fraudsters instead of support clients that have been clients for years. I have lots of correspondense to backup all of this. We are talking to the tune of hundreds of thousands of rands... not just a few rand. This is a nightmare and I am hitting my head against a brick wall. I am not writing this to be spitefull but purely becasue I have no idea what else to do. My lawyer costs just to try and get something done is allready close to R100 000. </p>
