I took my car to Maistry Motorsport as it had a fluid leak under my car. Although I did not have an appointment they had a look under the car, found the leak and told me the best place to go for repairs. All in under 5 minutes. I big shoutout to Nivan for great customer service!
I took my car to William Simpson in Tokai for a service and to find and fix a vibration on my car. The service was done which was very expensive, R5800 to replace air filter, oil filter and oil. They told me the vibration was from the propshaft and they can't fix it. They referred me to a third party. So the agent cannot fix their own brand of vehicles. A short time after this, I noticed a fluid leak under the car. I took the car back and was told they would not check the vehicle without an appointment. I was told that I must make an appointment on another day to bring the vehicle in again for them to check what the problem was. Very poor customer service. I took the vehicle to Maistry Motorsport in Kommetjie who checked the vehicle. It took 2 minutes to find and diagnose the leak. I would have expected William Simpson to provide a similar level of service.
We recently used Biggles Removals to move some furniture from Johannesburg to Kommetjie in the Western Cape. Their service was professional. Dates and times were adhered to and communication was done frequently. The truck driver, Danny, and his team were very helpful in making the move an easy experience.
I bought a DEFY fridge from GAME in Kenilworth, Cape Town on 24 March 2020. On 15 June it started to malfunction. I logged a call with GAME, got the reference number, eventually got a job number but as at 27 July 2020 I have had no response from them. So it looks like in addition to the fridge being of poor quality (but expensive), your agent GAME will not repair the fridge under warranty. How can you let a company like GAME ruin your products reputation? Shame on you! People beware of spending your hard earned money with this company!
How is this for ultimate bad service... I bought a DEFY fridge from GAME Kenilworth in CapeTown on 24 March 2020. The fridge started freezing the food in the fridge section as well as the freezer section even on the lowest setting. After numerous calls to GAME's national call centre with no success I wrote a review on Hello Peter on 10 July. Within 2 hrs I got a call from GAME to say I should not log calls with the national call centre I must log the fault with the local call centre. So I got a new reference number and a job number. Not a word from them since. It is now 6 weeks that my fridge has not worked properly but GAME seems to think warrranty agreements are like toilet paper. My advice to anyone thinking of buying an appliance from GAME to be aware that they will not honour the warranty. Also DEFY fridges are absolute rubbish.
I bought a Defy fridge from Game Kenilworth in Cape Town on 24 March 2020. After a few weeks the fridge started freezing the vegetables in the fridge compartment and ice forms on the back panel. I reported this to Game on 15 June 2020 and have followed up on 19/24/29 June and 2 July. The standard response is that there is a three week backlog and my request for a repair under warranty has been escalated. Still no response. Terrible after sales service.

If you want an insurer that does not communicate with you, provides incorrect information and takes an age to contact a third party involved in an accident to arrange for their vehicle repair, then use Discovery Insure.

The asssessment for the repair to my vehicle was R7500-00 for a couple of small scratches to the rear fender and bumper - no indents just scratches. No wonder our premiums are so high.

The third party was only contacted after 3 weeeks - only after I had followed up as to why this had not happened.

I was told that I must contact them for car hire when my car was booked in for repair and when I phoned to arrange the car hire I was told I should have done this 48 hours before sending in the vehicle for repair.
