On Tuesday 02-02-2021, I went to Makro Milnerton, I went after work so got there around 17:00pm. I purchase at Makro religiously, monthly my bill is never less than about 2-3k, Xmas time it's much more as I pop in at the liquor store as well, this time it was by far way more and Tuesday I purchased for about 6.5k. (pocket change, think not) When I got to the teller, I didn't realise I gave my mom's card. The teller rang up all goods, just for some "supervisor" to tell her to void the whole transaction and redo it. ( the shop was closed already) I then tried to log into my ph app to get my card, and I couldn't get connection, she made fill in a form and had to rescan everything. The teller was quite stressed as she needed to leave, by public transport. If i bought 5 items which came to R200 I could totally understand. But 6.5k, knowing that your liquor store hasn't made money for months. I was so tempted to actually just leave all the goods and walk out. I found this totally absurd, not the teller nor the security could understand why she would do that. if she wanted the saving of R200 I would have paid to her cash, but wasting my time for utter rubbish. And willing to lose a sale of 6.5k??? does she even know that we in a very serious crisis, and the fact that she has a job is a blessing, and throwing weight around is of absolute no value, right now. Trust me, this Makro will never see me again. I even feel like returning, my fridge, oven with goodness know what (and actually not the cheap kind, microwave, and 65" tv, just purchased a few weeks earlier. I was absolutely disgusted. I too come from working in retail way back in my career, and trust me, at woolies, this kinda things just don't fly... I wish your store everything of the best in this difficult time. May you make up your loses incurred by the liquor store. And if you may think all that the cash i have spent in that store is nothing... Lets hope in this uncertain times you store is untouched. Yesterday, 03-12-2019, I arrived at the N1 value Centre around, 17:45, I parked right in front of the store and saw it was closed already, i was very confused, so i still got out of my vehicle, and walked to the door, by the time i got to the door it was about 17:50, people was out, but the security just kept the door closed and told me they are closed. I said the TRADING HOURS, in big bright red on the door says, Mon to Fri 09:00 - 18:00. He just kept looking the other way, till it was 17:55 and the someone who was dress in normal clothing, presumably the manager of the store handed him the keys saying to five too, so lock the door. Through the window all the girls was cashing up their tills and one still helping 1 or 2 customers. Then i asked what the telephone number was, which she shouted from her till. All i actually wanted to purchase was a black container, which would have taken me all of 2min to get and pay. I come from a retail background, and never have i seen doors been closed before time let alone almost 20min before the time. Where have you heard people not wanting to take every cent they can get. i've never experience any of this at even at Pick n Pay or a Checkers, chasing clients away. Totally crazy!
Was out for the evening, trying to be an abiding citizen, not drinking and driving, after you've indulged to much checking into a hotel seems like the most sensible thing to do. Went onto Agoda.com and got a room at the Cape Town Lodge Hotel. This was just after 00.19am. Booking confirmed, when I got to the hotel, they told me they have no rooms available which already annoyed me. But i asked if they could refund my money and get me a hotel with rooms available. The guy promised me my account was not debited, and advised me to which hotel i could use next. I thought i'd wait 2 days for the money to return into bank account, just to find that it never has and possibly never will. This is the reason: The booking was made after 12am so check is only 14:00 after that. ( which is a lie as I've made a booking way after 12am before and checked in mins later, with no hassel) Then they had to check footage to proof i was there, assuming i was lying. Then they didn't get footage. The lady Sandra, then shouted at me asking me who i spoke with, telling me that i need to deal agoda and them. After a while she says something doesn't seem right on the system after i confirmed my confirmation details. She says she call back. After she has no more defense reason for me not being wrong and her person who was duty the evening didn't can the room as i requested and not debit my card. So shoves me off and tell me to deal with agoda, knowing this is an international company and it would take me a while to get hold of them. All i want is a refund. Who just gives money for free?? They have no way of speaking to clients as if we are given rooms for free. We actually pay for it. There is no attempt to make feel like i want to go back to the hotel again. Not even the guy who helped me the evening had any respect for who he was speaking with. Horrible service and day light robbery!!!
So... after many attempts of emails, going into a MTN stores, HelloPeter reviews, I can’t mention answered calls because as a telecommunications company, their numbers don't exist (Canal walk MTN in the mall don't even a ph ) as stated on the websites, if you do get through it gets cut or you get sent from pillar to post. I think I've given up on this. On the 24th August 2017 called by a sales person around 10.30 after not too much convincing, I've taken up the offer to upgrade my package. By 11.03 my payment details was updated, by 11.04 my contract was updated! The new ph was to arrive a week or two later. This was supposed to be a gift for my sister... On the 5th of Sept I called to find where this ph is, just to be told it was delivered somewhere in Joburg. But had to be re-dispatched. Someone somewhere forgot to do this process another 2 weeks later this phone still has not arrived. After so many attempts of trying to track this down and many explanations as why this ph has not gotten to me, due to process failures and blah blah blah within this stupid company! (I'm actually surprised they still exist). On the 18 Sept the phone made it to me! But guess what! It was the wrong handset! I then went into an MTN store personally, where the person told me, the only we can resolve this is by cancelling the contract, we'll wait a WEEK, then we can redo this contract in store and have this sorted out... Now, after many attempts of calling again and emailing the ********** addy, as this is the channel it should follow... TODAY IS THE 10 OCTOBER 2017... I get a call from Kabelo Mosimanyane saying: "Hi Miss, I am still trying to escalate this issue and trying to get some traction on the matter. PS: this is what he told me 2 weeks ago as well... Can you tell me where you handed in the phone? We have not received this ph hence this still on going. i'll try and get hold of someone at canal walk now and see if i get hold of a manager there" 2min later, my phone rings again, miss which canal walk is it... as i can't find I number for the store... No, they don't have a number, I’ll send an email and get back to you once they respond. Now someone, please tell me... how should anyone react to this...? They have all the details, all the reference numbers to the times i have queried this. This will probably just lead to another reference number and another "investigation" that needs to happen, iso f%$%^& fixing the problem... or is this called job creation within MTN??? Let’s see how many Reference numbers we can create this month? I'd actually say MTN and Telkom are in competition to who is the worst?? LOL i can't even say who the winner would be.
I received a call from my service provider MTN that im due for a upgrade which i gladly accepted and processed telephonically with the sales consultant, he then promised that my cell phone would be in CPT in 1-2 weeks to my surprise i found out that the cell phone was delivered to JHB by DSV mounties courier. I had to follow up where my cell phone was after holding for 50 minutes, a lady by the name of Rivonia advised that my cell phone had to reach CPT the 5 September already, she then promised to escalate it and call me back at 15:00pm,13th september as she would direct it to CPT so that i could take delivery the next day- Still awaiting her call and no delivery (NOT A SURPRISE AT ALL), the 14th i followed up myself and spoke to another gentlemen by the name of Leboga who then transfered me to Rivonia as he advised that the phone is still in JHB, she then promised again that she would get my phone delivered urgently but once again a LIE just to shut me up and get me off the phone line. I then called in the 15th to follow up AGAIN and spoke to a Lady Masidiso who confirmed telephonically that the cellphone is in CPT but the cannot get hold of me , when i asked what number they using she mentioned my landline which is obvious that i cannot trace missed calls from, once again another lie as my parents are home all day and no calls was received. I then asked her for the CPT DSV number which she refuse to provide me with, i then googled the number and called the office myself and then spoke to Renier who also promised that he would call me back with feedback as my cell phone is still not in CPT which MASIDISO clearly lied just to gst me off the phone as well as she obviously see my comments on the system and did not want to assist me!!!! Im highly upset as i have been lied to by staff of a major courier company and if this is the way the staff is being trained to sort out queries or trying to assist clients then they might as well shut there doors. MTN my cell phone provider is defnitely using the wrong courier service as this is a service break down and a huge disgrace! I will never refer this courier company to anyone may it be family overseas or friends as there service SUCKS!!! This is a Birthday gift to my sister and I had nothing to give her on her birthday this weekend due to your LIES and lack of service!!! Still no cell phone in my possession...
