I'm at my wit's end with Mondo, and I can't stay silent about the sheer level of incompetence and frustration they've put me through. This entire debacle began innocently enough, with my trying to arrange an Uncapped Home Internet 10 Mbps plan from MTN for my parents, who had just moved to a new area in Johannesburg. The journey has been nothing short of a Kafkaesque nightmare, with Mondo playing a starring role in the chaos. After battling through a maze of MTN's online forms and hemorrhaging airtime in a futile attempt to get someone, anyone, to respond, Mondo finally entered the picture, promising to be the solution to all my woes. Oh, how wrong I was. The first fiasco involved a delivery via DSV, which Mondo supposedly coordinated. Despite assurances to the contrary, the delivery was botched because the courier refused to accept my passport in lieu of a ****** ID, despite prior confirmations that it would be fine. This not only cost me a day's work but also plunged me into a Kafkaesque loop of calls and misinformation, with Mondo at the center, offering apologies but no real solutions. Undeterred and desperate to get my parents connected, I embarked on this Sisyphean ordeal once again, hoping against hope that Mondo had learned from their previous mistakes. Yet, history repeated itself with alarming accuracy. After another grueling week of form-filling and payment-making, Mondo's promise of seamless service crumbled once again when DSV, acting on Mondo's instructions, refused to accept a police-verified copy of my ID for delivery. The level of disorganization, miscommunication, and sheer apathy I've encountered with Mondo is staggering. Each interaction has been a masterclass in how not to run a customer service operation. I've been ping-ponged between Mondo and their partners, each time being assured that the issue would be resolved, only to be let down again and again. The time and money I've lost in this process, from days off work to the small fortune spent on airtime, are bad enough. But it's the emotional toll, the stress of dealing with Mondo's labyrinthine processes, and the frustration of repeated failures that have truly taken their toll. Mondo's inability to coordinate effectively with their partners or provide clear, accurate information to their customers is unforgivable. This isn't just poor service; it's a complete breakdown in every aspect of customer care and service delivery. Mondo's handling of this situation has been abysmal, and I urge anyone considering using their services to think twice. If my ordeal is anything to go by, you're in for a world of frustration, wasted time, and unfulfilled promises. Absolutely appalling.
I'm absolutely livid with DSV's service, or rather, the complete lack thereof. This whole ordeal started when I attempted to secure an Uncapped Home Internet 10 Mbps plan from MTN for my parents, who recently moved to a new area in Johannesburg. The saga with MTN was frustrating enough, but DSV's role in this debacle has been downright infuriating. After navigating through a labyrinth of forms on MTN's website and spending an absurd amount of airtime just to get a callback, I finally made my payment, and DSV was supposed to handle the delivery. The first round was a complete farce. I was assured that my passport would suffice as identification since my ID had been ******. I took a day off work, which means lost income, only for the delivery person to flatly refuse my passport, citing some policy, despite what I was told earlier. The driver had the audacity to claim he was too rushed to resolve the issue, leaving me in the lurch with no internet for my parents and a day completely wasted. You'd think I'd learn my lesson, but no, I gave DSV another chance. After another agonizing week of filling out MTN's lead forms, I made another payment, hopeful but cautious. And yet again, DSV dropped the ball spectacularly. This time they refused the police-verified copy of my ID, contradicting previous assurances. It's like they're making up the rules as they go along! I've lost count of the days I've taken off work, the money poured into fruitless airtime, and the sheer mental toll this has taken on me. DSV's incompetence, lack of communication, and utter disregard for customer service have compounded an already stressful situation into an absolute nightmare. The constant back-and-forth, the contradictory information, and the total lack of accountability are maddening. It's clear that DSV doesn't value its customers' time, money, or well-being. This isn't just about a failed delivery; it's about a systemic failure to provide reliable service and clear communication. I'm beyond disappointed; I'm outraged by the cavalier attitude displayed at every turn.

Let me tell you about this nightmare with MTN. Where do I even start? Bought Uncapped Home Internet 10 Mbps for R269 a month at the start of March 2024 for my folks who just moved to a new spot in Johannesburg. They're not tech-savvy and don't have much cash, so I stepped in to help. Turns out, MTN LTE was the only internet with coverage in their area, so I went for it - and oh, what a mistake! Their website's a joke. You try to buy something and end up filling out lead form after lead form promising a callback that rarely comes. Instead of leading you to checkout to pay it instead has you fill out a lead form and "They will get back to you". Filled in these application forms like this 5 times a day for 10 days straight in February, no joke. Finally got a call from them, only to be hung up on after a few futile "hellows" or should I say "yellows"... My folks needed internet bad, so I spent heaps on airtime calling MTN's customer care, waiting ages on hold. I finally got through only for them to tell me the same thing "they'd call back", but nada for three days until they finally did on March 1st they called. I Paid straight away, and they said DSV would be in touch for delivery. It then took at least 3 days for DSV to contact me! Over the phone, I told DSV that my ID had been ****** recently but I have my passport and they told me that I could use this for collection along with my proof of address! I then got copies made and took the day off work so as to not miss the delivery! On the day of delivery to my dismay, the delivery driver told me that the passport could not be used for delivery despite me seeing the option for ID or PASSPORT on the device he was holding. I told him there must be a mistake as I was told over the phone I could use this! he then proceeded to tell me he was in a rush and had to leave and I must contact MTN again for redelivery once I have the right ID. I was furious at this point as I had lost so much money in airtime, already paid for my parents' internet, and lost a days work because of this and still had nothing to show for it! I then put in another R200 airtime and proceeded to phone MTN, honestly the most upset I have ever been in my life. The runaround didn't stop. MTN sends me to DSV, DSV sends me back to MTN, and then to Mondo, who handles their deals. Everyone's now saying the passport's a no-go, even though that's what they told me at the start. So I furiously told them okay fine I will get the ID copy verified please just arrange for redelivery. They apologize and told me they would be doing just that and I needed to wait for DSV to phone me about the redelivery. So I take another day off work, get a police-verified ID copy, ready for the next delivery. After waiting almost 10 days for a call my parents still without internet I decided to phone DSV myself on the 20th and try to reschedule the delivery or see whats happening, and guess what? They tell me Parcel's back with MTN. Call MTN and Mondo, and they're like, "Sir, Your Order was canceled on the 13th." I had gotten No email, no call, no refund, nothing stating it was cancelled!!! I asked them please can they send me a new payment link so I can reapply now and they told me to please apply again on the website... So here I am, I've lost two days of work, spent over R1000 on airtime, and we're back to filling out those pointless lead forms with no calls back and my poor parents are still in the dark. Helpless doesn't even start to cover it. Absolute hell, from start to finish. Duncan
Dear Turkish Airlines Customer Service Team, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent flight with your airline. Specifically, I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the fact that my luggage was lost during the flight. On the 29th of March, I traveled on flights numbered TK 0021/29 and TK 0042/30 from Incheaon, South Korea to Johannesburg, South Africa with a layover in Istanbul, Turkey. Despite following all the necessary procedures for checked baggage and ensuring that my luggage was properly tagged, I was informed upon arrival that my luggage could not be located. My luggage tag has the following numerical codes: 0235337775 and TK 337775. As you can imagine, losing my luggage has caused me significant inconvenience and stress. The contents of my luggage were essential for my trip, including important documents and personal belongings. I have spent a considerable amount of time and money trying to locate my luggage and have been unable to do so. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of communication and support from Turkish Airlines regarding this matter. Despite my repeated attempts to reach out to your customer service team and receive updates on the status of my luggage, I have not received any meaningful assistance or resolution. I expect Turkish Airlines to take immediate action to resolve this issue and compensate me for the inconvenience and financial losses I have experienced as a result of this negligence. I demand a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution. Sincerely, Duncan Marc Bentley
It is now IMPOSSIBLE to catch an Uber out of OR Tambo because the Meter Taxis, Security, Staff and even the Police at the airport have formed a gang of some sort that won't allow drivers to stop or passengers to climb into their ubers. Everyone is forcing passengers at OR Tambo to catch meter taxis so they can scam international travellers and make you pay ridiculous amounts for a trip. I had an uber pull up only to have my bags removed from the car by security as the driver was threatened and chased away. Police don't care about whats going on in Lower Level 1 and everyone is being paid off by the meter taxi gangsters. How can we allow our countries biggest airport to be run by scammers and gangsters? Pathetic.
Today I had one of the worst experiences of my life in my own estate where I am supposed to feel safe. I live in Four Leaf Estate in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and had a security guard who works for Nitrous Security named 'Zembe' attempt to assault me with a baton for asking for his full name, I had an estate manager/head of security named Pieter who didn't care for my side of the story, immediately sided with the guard who tried to assault me and spoke to me like I was a child. I also had an estate agent named Tamsyn Pillay who completely refused to give me the full names of anyone involved and who called me 'disrespectful' for getting upset before ignoring me completely. Before I start I would just like to clarify that I have been staying at Four Leaf Estate for nearly a year now and I have never had any issues, All the other Nitrous Security Guards that work here love me and we always get along really well, I pay my bills on time and the living experience has been very pleasant until my experience today... It started out like any other day, I booked an Uber for my wife to work and the taxi arrived at our boom gates as per usual. After 15 minutes our taxi contacts us and informs us that the security guard is not letting him in and is requesting our phone number. (Uber does not have access to customer cell numbers for safety reasons.) This is odd as I have never had the security ask for my number because they have the phone number for every unit in the estate. I reluctantly supply my number and get a call from the guard. I tell him no problem, please let my taxi into the estate and he hangs up. After another 10 minutes of waiting my uber driver informs me that he still is not being let in. I phone the guard and ask what is happening, after some frustration I ask the guard for his full name because I would like to report him to the estate for wasting my time and making my wife late for work. The guard then tells me 'NO! Come to the gate and you can have my name!' and hangs up. At this point, I am furious and walk all the way through the massive estate to the gate to see what is happening. When I arrive the guard gets a fright and opens the gate for the taxi. I proceed to ask him why he did that and to give me his full name to which he refuses again and gives me the name 'Zembe' or 'Zemba'. I begin writing this down whilst asking for his surname, he then mutters some swear words under his breath as if I cannot hear him. Shocked, I look up at him and ask what he just said before saying the exact same words back to him. At this point, he loses his temper and turns around, runs into his security booth, and comes running out at me with his Baton in hand. At this point, I felt extremely threatened and ran away whilst taking my phone out to film his actions as he chased me with the weapon. The moment he saw me filming he quickly stopped and retreated to his security booth. Fearing for my safety I went back to my house and immediately phoned my estate agent Tamsyn and explained what happened. She was naturally shocked and asked that I come back for a meeting at the security office so we can resolve the situation. I agreed and immediately walked back to the boom gates to find Tamsyn standing with 'Zembe' who tried to assault me. She explained that we are waiting for the estate manager and I said no problem. We had a small chat about the experience and she apologized and said we will sort the problem out. We then proceeded to wait for 20 minutes in the sun whilst the guard gave me dirty looks the entire time making me feel unsafe once more. 'Pieter' the estate manager then arrives and climbs out the car at the boom gates. He doesn't greet me or anything. He then calls the guard over and asks him what happened. The guard begins explaining the whole story from his point of view whilst Tamsyn and I are still standing in the sun just watching on. This already upset me as it felt like he cared more about the guards' side of the story than mine. I shrugged it off and waited in the sun for him to finish telling his side of the story. The guard was clearly lying to try and protect himself which upset me even further. The guard finally finished talking and Pieter climbed in his car and drove off to the office without saying a word to me. Tamsyn and I walked through to the office and I thought to myself 'Finally I can explain my side of the story'. I then walk up and greet Pieter at his car, to my dismay the guard is following right behind me and walks into the office with us. We all sit down to resolve the issue and then 'Pieter' looks at the guard and says "Tell me what happened". This really began to upset me at that point because I was not being asked for my side of the story first which seemed only fair as I was the one almost assaulted. The guard then begins his story over again and mentions that he was "Trying to find my number". This upset me so much because he was lying and I was not being given a chance to talk. I then interrupted the guard and said "He is lying! I have the proof on my phone that he didn't try to find my number." Pieter then interrupts me by raising his voice and tells me to be quiet and let 'Zembe' finish his story. This immediately sent me over the edge with anger as he just spoke to me as if I am a child. I raised my voice and said "We just heard his side of the story while we were waiting in the sun for thirty minutes! Don't raise your voice to me!" Pieter then refused to lower his voice and talk me like an adult so I threw up the middle finger and walked out. I was the victim of an attempted assault and now I have to sit and hear his story TWICE before anyone will even listen to me speak. Pieter clearly cares more about his security guards than he does the tenants that live here. All I wanted was to have my side of the story heard first, as I was the victim in the situation but all I got was disrespect and poor manners. Tamsyn then told me that she and Pieter would like to come and resolve this issue at my place. I agreed and waited outside my front door. The moment they arrived I asked if they will now listen to me speak and hear my side of the story. Pieter was still being extremely rude and couldn't understand why I got upset back in the office. I tried explaining my story and they just couldn't seem bothered at all, they were more concerned about my actions in the office and kept calling me rude and disrespectful towards them. I apologized for losing my temper in the office and asked that some sort of action is taken against the guard. Pieter then agreed to take action before stating that "Not even children act the way you did back there." Clearly still not understanding why I was upset. Feeling like nothing was going to be done about it, I asked for proof that action has been taken against the guard. I also asked Tamsyn for the full name, company name, and contact details of Pieter and Zembe but she has since ignored me flat. I don't feel safe in my own complex knowing that this security guard tried to attack me once and probably dislikes me even more now. I mainly wanted to write this so that people can finally read my side of the story seeing as they didn't care.

I brought my friend down from Belgium and took him to Long Street to party after 1 hour out I find my friend crying outside of Bob's Bar after being beat up by the bouncer and three street kids. Absolutely disgusted by the service on long street
