STAY AWAY FROM ARIVA!
In late 2019 my partner decided to rent out a vehicle from Ariva as we unfortunately could not qualify to buy a vehicle through the bank. Fast forward to April 2020 a month after covid-19 hit, we couldn't keep up with the monthly premiums as we are both self-employed. That's when the bullying and disrespect began from Ariva officials threatening to repossess the vehicle due to non payment. Fortunately we struck a deal and made payment arrangements until we were back on our feet and kept the vehicle. In January 2022 we decided to terminate the contract and they sent through the early termination penalty fee which was R68 245.80. Subsequently we made an arrangement to pay off the penalty fees R5000.00 a month. In April we then decided to pay the remaining which was R53 245.80 in full and we received the settlement letter. This week my partner tried to apply for a vehicle and to her surprise Ariva listed her on ITC and they never ever communicated that they are going to list her. What irritates us the most is that we paid off the debt in April even after we made an arrangement. What Ariva did is illegal and such companies take people for granted and undermine us. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY no matter how desperate you are. To say that we are angry is an understatement. Stay away.
