As my Renault Duster 1.6 Expression has a 5 year warranty, Renault South Africa and Alpine Renault Hillcrest were there when I needed them the most. T-towing promptly arrived with a rollback and took the vehicle to Alpine Renault. I received a number of follow-up calls from Renault South Africa, and within four working days, the electrical issue was sorted, and a battery on loan fitted, as I could not afford a new battery at the time. A few days later I returned to Alpine Renault to have two headlight bulbs fitted free of charge. They are a busy bunch, but we're gracious enough to assist me.
Lee - Chene Swanepoel added vehicle hire to my policy, having explained everything I need to know in a most courteous and professional manner. Thank you so much
I received a call from NDM in October or November 2020, and was told that they would reduce the interest rates of my ABSA vehicle finance and credit card debt. However, I was not informed of the negative repercussions and long term inconvenience that I would have to endure as a result of my decision to be placed under debt management. Money was debited from my account, my Cheque and credit card accounts have been placed on hold and my debit orders bounced. I immediately informed them of this and instructed them to cancel my agreement with them because of all this drama. The process to refund the money is progressing. I was told that I would be refunded after 20 days. I am also still waiting for NDM to send ABSA a clearance certificate so that my accounts can be restored as before. I have experience impatience and a bad attitude from a man called Calvin. I would like to warn people to rather do business with a well-known and professional debt management company.
I would like to compliment the management team, sales staff and cashiers of the Buildit branch in Hammarsdale for their friendly and professional service and for ensuring that my items were delivered on site and on time. Keep up the great work Mvelo.
I received an sms on 2018/05/25 from a company in Cape Town called CREDITGAIN. The message from them informed me that an amount of R 395-00 was to be deducted from my account that very day. I was obviously surprised by this unexpected pending debit order, and immediately phoned them, and spoke to a lady by the name of Ingrid, who informed me that I had completed a loan application through Loanfinder, who they are affiliated to, and for that service and others, which I did not agree to, I was now liable to pay a once off fee of R395-00. I then told the lady that I had never heard of CREDITGAIN, and that I also never authorized them or entered into any agreement with them for the services that they provide and for the specified service fee. Ingrid then informed me that they had sent me an email or sms on the 14th of May, to inform me that I had to pay for their services. After that, I kindly asked her to remove me from their system, and cancel anything that I had supposedly subscribed to, which she proceeded to do. After this call, I went back to my trash folder in my email and looked for the alleged email from CREDITGAIN, which I did not find. I only have two emails from Loanfinder that I received on the 14th of May, nothing from CREDITGAIN. I would just like to warn the public to be careful when applying for online credit, as there might be a few nasty surprises following.
I entered into a Cell C Pinnacle 150, 24 month contract in May 2017. I was quite excited at the prospect of owning a Samsung Galaxy J5, as well as saving money with this particular deal (R 199-00 per month), as I was on prepaid prior to this and was spending about R 500-00 per month on airtime. I entered into the telephonic agreement and then waited for my package to arrive. One phone and one sim card. However, when the package arrived by courier, I was issued with two sim cards and the Galaxy J5. I was told by the driver that the second sim card was a data sim card that comes with the package. I was not told this by the salesperson when initially discussing the contract with him. I was led to believe that I will be paying R 199-99 per month for my two year contract, a great saving for me personally, but because of the additional sim card that I was not told about, I have been paying R 498-00 per month, not much less than the R 500-00 that my prepaid calls were costing me before. As a customer, I have had to accept the fact that I was conned into or given false information with regards to the Pinnacle 150 contract, and am now bound, by law, to continue paying an inflated amount that I was not expecting to pay. I think Cell C need to be upfront and honest in their dealings with potential customers, and inform them of the exact amount that they will be paying for their 24 month contracts, as it is a long time to pay for something that I did not agree to, and that will cost a lot of money to cancel. Thank you very much.
I was not aware until today that after three years, and under certain circumstances, a consumers debt becomes "prescribed debt", and he/she is therefore by law under no obligation to pay the outstanding amount. So the fact of the matter is that I was conned by NBA to pay them R 8000-00 for outstanding (PRESCRIBED DEBT) owing to Standard Bank, as I never heard from them, or received mail or a phone call from them for about 5 years. Also, they are now claiming that I owe Direct Axis/Wesbank a large amount of PRESCRIBED DEBT. I am grateful that consumers, by law, have rights, even if we might have defaulted or made mistakes in the past. At least now there is a law that protects us and enables us to sleep at night without being harassed, hunted down, or haunted by the failures of our past.
I received a phone call from NBA this morning with the usual introduction.....Please note that this call is recorded for ........etc. They claim that I owe Wesbank Finance an amount of +- R 25000-00 due to a personal loan that I received many years ago. I can categorically state that I have never dealt with Wesbank Finance or have ever loaned money from them. I don't know where they get their information from. Also, at the beginning of this year I received a call from Nedbank claiming that I also owe them money from an alleged personal loan, that I am unaware of. I have never heard from them since. I have just this last month settled an outstanding amount owing to Standard Bank through NBA, and am still awaiting a final letter of closure from them. Unless these companies can produce the signed documents and facts of these allegations, I will continue to be angry and rude when they call me with their outrageous claims. Thank you.
Over the past few months and on numerous occasions I have called The Unlimited and Platinum Life to cancel my policies, as I have a new policy with Accident Angels that came as part of the deal when I purchased a new car a month ago. I have a complaint with the cancellation departments of both companies who refuse to accept that, as a customer, I have the right and the freedom to cancel my policies at any time, and that I cannot or should not be manipulated or forced to keep my policy active when I have a good enough reason to cancel it. I am having sleepless nights , and am now forced to go to my Bank to have them reverse the funds and block the debit orders. They use scare tactics, and tell me that at this time of year there are many accidents and hijackings and all sorts of other bad things that can befall me, and that it's in my own interest to keep these policies active in case anything should happen to me. These type of tactics only tarnishes a companies reputation, and I can only warn others to stay clear of these companies, unless they really need their services.
