I recently contacted a few insurers and left Santam for last. I was genuinely surprised to find that they offered the most competitive pricing, along with an additional discount, making the cover extremely affordable while still meeting all my needs. Chanelle was outstanding – professional, helpful, and efficient throughout the process. Her service made the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend Santam and their excellent service.
We had the worst experience at this establishment. Had a 2 night stay over the weekend with my wife. Checked in Friday afternoon. Friday night prior to getting into bed, we found faeces on the bed, we assumed it must have been a gecko of some sort, never the less we went to bed. My wife woke me and said she had hurt some scratching noises by the cupboards, I woke,Put on the light and nothing. We remained quite until we heard the noise again, I went to the cupboard of where the noise came from and a rat ran out. A rat!!! Called reception at 12 at night explained to the guy, he says there is no one to assist us and he is alone furthermore he had no available rooms to move us to. I calmed my wife down. Left the TV on thinking some sort of noise will keep this rat at bay but I was in for a surprise. About 15 minutes later, the thing was running around again. My wife refused to be in the room, she went down while I tried to find it. Guy from reception came up, looked for it with me but we couldn't find it. Explained to him I will not accept this, he then says he has a available room on the second floor. Now, my question is why was I not assisted the first time. I asked him and he completely ignored me. We moved rooms at approximately 12:40 in the morning with no assistance whatsoever. Next morning, we called house keeping 2 times for the iron and ironing board till eventually I had to go down myself to ask what's the delay. While my wife was in the salon located at the hotel I walked around and found myself near the pool (heater doesnt work) but I heard some noises on the roof and when i looked up and i see these huge rats racing along the roof. Now this explains alot as my initial room was on the 3rd floor. I was gobsmacked. Luckily there was no rat in our new room but she was terrified at any sound we heard. So we really didn't have a pleasant time. The wifi didnt work all the time and the staff wasnt the most friendly or accommodating. We never ate at the restaurant because of our experience with the rats in our room so we could not be sure their kitchen was completely hygienic. Our first and last time at this hotel!!!!!!!!!
I was recently pushed off the road by a driver driving for this company in a vehicle marked with blue stickers in registration DS 62 RW. The driver had cut off the driver behind me only to tail gate me, when that was unsuccessful, he decided to over take me and when he did, he did it in a manner so tight that had i not swerved we would have ended up in an accident. Fortunately for him, he got away with this. I lost control of my vehicle and drove into the middle of the highway (grassy patch) bursting my front wheel as a result of the impact. The gentleman (my witness) whom this driver initially cut off stopped on the yellow lane, crossed the dangerous highway to check if i was okay. He went as far as assisting me in changing my tyre and even came with me to the police station and gave an affidavit stating what had occurred, Because he had seen everything (even number plates and also saw that the report my driving numbers were missing on the vehicle). I have since opened up a criminal case with the saps. Because i was driving a company vehicle, theh insisted i pursue the matter. I had informed your offices and i spoke to nancy at reception (if I'm not mistaken), she had advised me that she will get a manager to contact me but i have not heard from anyone since. The investigating officer had advised me that this can be sorted out amongst ourselves as my company just wishes for compensation for the burst tyre and myself a formal apology from the driver and my witness. However seeing that rentokil is not interested and has lawless drivers whom put peoples lives at risk with their driving, maybe the best thing is to pursue the matter in the courts. If you investigate this particular vehicle, you will notice that the numbers of the call centre to report bad driving is erased off but what the driver fails to realize is that he is driving s marked vehicle. Had it not been for my witness, i would probably have no case (my word against the driver in question)
I would like to express my disappointment with this store, i got there at about 2 in the afternoon. It wasn't too busy so staff were lingering around. I visted almost every department looking for items that appealed to me. I was shocked that i was not acknowledged by not one memeber of staff or assisted in any manner whatsoever. I was not greeted by anyone, instead the floor staff went on with their conversations as though i wasnt even there. I drove a long way to get to this store because of the variety of items i had been told that they keep and after i found what i were looking for, i went to the till to pay and the same story. Cashier didn't smile or greet, i was tempted to call to speak to the manager but i assumed he too would have the ignorant attitude as the staff does, so i paid and left and i will never return. I would much rather go to a smaller store, pay abit more if i must and be treated with much better customer service than this. A simple smile or how may i help you goes a long way and clearly the staff at this store knows nothing about it. Shocking
I would highly advise anyone NOT to use this company. The manner in which senior management and staff liase with customers is putrid and of utmost ignorance. Water seeped in to my wifi cable which in turn damaged my poe box inside the home. Techs were sent out and replaced the poe box however they did not replace the cable. Two weeks later my wifi line was down again. They then advised us that we needed to replace the cable. My issue is why wasnt the cable replaced initially as this caused the poe box to blow. Umar and sham are utterly useless. They speak over you, they have discussions amongst themselves while on the phone with you, they even use fowl languages on customers. The lady sham even used a comparison of "masala" to compare with the wifi cable. How unprofessional can they be. After a huge argument, i recieved a call from sham roughly about 30 minutes later apologizing and saying that she had spoken to the technician and he had made her aware of the problem and she admitted she got it all wrong. She then offered to give me the new cables and would not charge me the call out fee but 30 minutes is a long enough time to find an alternate company who provide the same service at a similar price using their existing equipment. We live in a country where business is scarce and we should hold on to whatever clientele we have. The service they are providing is done by many companies. They lost my business today and aswell as the company i work for. Sham should have said to me, she will speak to the techs and get back to me instead of arguing with me only to call back later and apologize. No sense of business ethic whatsoever. My subscription has since been cancelled by them even though i had paid for the whole month. Her collegue umar, who has so much to say over the phone but has no basis to base his argument om because he could not comprehend what i was saying to him. Seems to me that his highest qualification is matric and I'm sure he barely made that by the sound of it. This indian owned organization does not have the s**** or the ability to handle the customer or deal with issues they are faced with
