I bought my wife a fancy pair of sunglasses from the Burberry Hyde Park store 3 years ago. She liked them very much and for the first two times she tried to wear them she would endure the discomfort due to a thought that they would sort of stretch and become more comfortable. After realising that they were not getting any better she put them aside and revert to her other sunglasses. A year later I realised the she was not wearing them due to the problem so I went with her to the store with this complaint. We were turned back and told that we waited too long. Granted, we took them and went back home. My issue now is, i have tried to sell these glasses now on and off for the past 2 years...Everyone who tries them on, has the same complain with them, my wife is a petite person and including the people who have tried these on that we tried to sell to. I'm alluding to the fact that I am now convinced there is a design flaw with these glasses and i've compared them with other designer shades. The shape will not fit anyone without squeezing the back of the ear. I'm especially disappointed in the fact that this is an internationally acclaimed designer brand. This is just so disheartening and we need to find a resolution for this.
I have to share this with fellow enthusiasts of the brand like i was, but i’ve certainly on my way to turning my back on this brand. I went to the store to address what i believe is infact a quality isssue, but i was turned away, told it was infact wear & tear and nothing can be done to assist me. Wear & tear after only 5 months of buying a pair if slippers that cost over R2000. In my entire years of buying expensive brands i have never had an item that broke after only 5 months. To me spending money on quality brands is motivated by the fact that you’ve bought an item that is going to last. In the past i have had many many slippers, of a cheaper nature and brand, but they’ve all, ALL have lasted way longer than 5 months. I remember owning a pair of Addilete sandals, by Adidas. We would play games in the streets, run, swim, forage in the bushes with those and they would last years. I’m very appalled at this experience and for the store to make me seem like an opportunist when I honestly think and believe that i did not get my money’s worth. I urge others to look out for Diesel now because clearly its only about the fashion trends and no longer about the quality. It’s really a shame and i am unfortunately a victim of finding this out the hard way. R2200 gone
I am profusely disgusted by the service we received from Etihad Airway today. Absolutely shocking standards from a company of level. We travelled to the airport 2hrs before for a flight to Singapore, upon arrival the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing as we were sent pillar to post while they verified our travel documents. Eventually we were told that with a visitor visa, we had to produce a return ticket. Mind you this is for my nephew's scholarship programme and they had told us otherwise and given ample supporting documentation to support this. Other students on a similar program were able to travel with Emirate with the same documentation! Any so eventually after all this debacle and a very rude supervisor (Peter) who eventually blew us off, the check in attendant told us that we can only travel if we produce proof of a return ticket. While trying to arrange this we told the lady to please then not mark the ticket as a no show, she agreed and assured us there was a note that she would put on the system. We confirmed this perhaps 3 or 4 times, she told us it will be changable and the note would be valid, she then gave me a number to a call centre should there be problems. 3hrs later, after 58mins of calls the call centre tells us, there is no not on there system, and we are indeed a no show and they can't help. I'm ****ed off because these *********** people refuse to accept ANY responsibility for mis-informing us repeatedly. Had we known, we would be a no show, we would have acted otherwise alternatively! I've gone off with these people for 3 long calls with the supervisor Ahmed and it's like talking to a robot. Etihad simply refused to acknowledge that it was their incorrect information that led to this whole mess and they need to accept some responsibility. It's absolutely appalling how my nephews misses out on such a great opportunity at the cost of a company with no honesty, no integrity in their service or knowledge of their own rules!!! I demand this be escalated and fixed. I will not stop here.
Backdoor and short cut repairs. These guys ruined my mags, completely messed them up even after two attempts the rims came back looking dull and brown and the excuse i got was that the insurance declined for the rims to get a top clear coat. My rims are peeling, they are ugly and dull and it looks very bad as its one side of the car. Honestly try and avoid using these guys if you like your car. Them in cahoots with Renew-it Rivonia

A few months ago I started becoming very unhappy with my bank and how they treated me, so having had a savings account that transacted quite a lot of money, and then doing some research, I decided to choose to switch over to FNB. HUGE MISTAKE!! within a week I have been told that i am a risk level 3 on their system and this was me looking to start with a new bank and new slate. The reasons I am this risk level and will not be changed are; 1. I was under debt review 10YEARS AGO!!! 2. I have a outstanding owing amount of 4k...now let me tell you why. I had an outstanding loan with FNB which i settled in 2019, the loan was settled through attorneys assigned to me by FNB, they offered me a settlment discount and i took it. FNB is now punishing me by keeping me in risk level 3 because I settled their loan with a discounted OFFERED to me by THEIR elected company. I am livid, and so disappointed in myself for making this move amongst all banks, i choose this one and this is the treatment I'm getting within a week. The account is open already and i will be switching the debit orders that i had switched back to another bank. It's a pity because this bank is so misleading administratively but below the surface, absolute hypocrisy.
Hi FNB currently has me under debt review on their systems. I have called zero debt and they say that they did send FNB a 17.4 form for withdrawal in 2011. I am still showing as under debt review under the FNB system and nobody from the branches i have been to or the call centres that i have called or emailed can explain to me why. Please remove me as a matter of urgency.
From the time I started doing quotes and enquiries on getting insured with MiWay I was referred to Selina and she has spent her time tirelessly calling and sending mail communication back and forth helping ensure that I got the best price, best premium, best service from MiWay and after her dedication I am now a proud MiWay client. I had found cheaper quotes I must admit but her treatment and service made me feel very confident in the service I was going to receive from her company moving on.
