The worst customer service I have received at any gym. I signed up for a 9 month contract that was activated on 4 March. That means it expired in November. Now in December they go and debit me double the monthly fee. They do not reply to emails. Their AI whatsapp assistant is useless and the "contact us" part of their website is broken. Do not join this gym.
This company is stealing and submitting unauthorized debit orders. Details below. They happily took debit orders until April. Now they are changing the amount and putting in new debit orders for different amounts, meaning they are debiting people who already cancelled their debit orders. My wife's contract expired in August of last year, and they put through a debit order on her account this month, I mean this is absolutely pathetic behavior. On their facebook page they state the following. Please note they gave their customers less than 24 hour notice of this new debit order: "Dear Zone Fitness Member The fitness industry is pushing very hard to get the government to allow us to open during Advance Level 3, early to mid July 2020. We have been working around the clock to ensure that all safety and social distancing measures are in place when we get the green light to operate. In anticipation of opening, we will submit a debit order for July at 50% of your normal membership fee. We are looking forward to welcoming you at your favorite club soon." This is obviously just a "notice" to say they will be putting in new debit orders. The rest is just filler. We will absolutely never support this company again. I am just wondering where would be the most effective places to report this? I had a contract that was still running when lockdown hit, but to debit my wife when her contract ended last year already? I wonder how many other people they did this too. Edit: On their facebook page clients are reporting that despite their saying they were only going to take 50%, they took 100% from certain clients. What do you want to bet that they took 50% from people that already cancelled their debit orders, knowing that it will be a new debit order and go through, and then took 100% from those who had until recently been allowing the debit orders to go through.
I was at the checkers in Plumstead today and witnessed one of their security guards fighting someone that was causing problems for others. They had an altercation and I personally witnessed the security guard being flung around and falling. During his fall he sustained several abrasions to his left hand, and minor abrasions to his right. He was bleeding and I walked him back to checkers (inside) so that they could provide a first aid kit in order for me to assist him. He lost feeling in his left index finger and I suspected either that it was broken or that some nerve damage occurred during his fall. The manager on duty had no clue about anything. When I asked for wet wipes so I could at least clean the guard's hand to view his wounds he couldn't even do that. No first aid kit. No nothing, but they have detol apparrently. THEY HAD NO FIRST AID KIT. A legitimate branch of one of the largest commercial distributors to the public did not have a first aid kit. Nevermind the Health and safety Act. Please keep that in mind when you decide where to shop.
I May I purchased a Samsung S9 at Vodacom in Cavindish square. I did this specifically because I was told if I do so I can get a free Dex Pad and 128gig memoray card via Samsung rewards by the consultant I was dealing with. I was even shown the poster of the promotion in the store. In other words, Vodacom enticed me into the contract with this promotion. I redeemed the voucher in Samsung rewards and did the necessary. It's now 4 weeks later and I have not received anything. My last three emails to Samsung have gone unanswered and vodacom is simply throwing their arms up in the air and refuse to assist me. How can you refuse to help me when you advertised it as the Vodacom Buy and Get promotion and enticed me into purchasing the phone? Now I have found out samsung rewards is shutting down soon and this has been advertised in their application since BEFORE I even purchased the phone. Vodacom explicitly advertised the promotion as running from April to June 6th: http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/terms/promotions/samsung-galaxy-s9-s9-plus-vodacom-buy-and-get Vodacom wants the benefit of enticing me into a contract with the promise of free merchandise and them throw their arms in the air and refuse to assist me in any manner in redeeming the goods promised. This is absolutely pathetic, The worst part is my partner ALSO got the s9 at my recommendation because of the offer of the free Dex Pad and memory card.
I was swindled into getting a s9 at Vodacom, being promised a free dex pad and 128gb memory card redeemable via Samsung Rewards. I went on Samsung Rewards and did the necessary. I have not received my goods and the last 3 emails I have sent to inquire about the goods have gone unanswered.
