Gave a month's notice of cancellation in writing of my short term policy. Spoke with an agent around 12:25 on Monday, who acknowledged cancellation. In my letter i requested written return confirmation that cancellation will be effected as I requested. Agent confirmed, that she will do such. Well it is now Wednesday and still nothing. Just another reason why I cancelled in the first place. Lack of service.
Customer service is really outrageous. 4 hours later still no response on the Whatsapp number, 16 minutes holding on waiting for a consultant. Send an email and the auto response is 48 hours... 48 hours pass.... zero response to email.
Useless... I ordered spectacles in January 2025 via the Cresta branch. They submitted the invoice to the medical aid which was paid. After a month I still had no spectacles, and the excuse was that Mellin's could not find the medical aid's payment. Subsequently, Mellin's reversed the transaction and refunded the medical aid. It is now October 2025, and they have handed me over to a lawyer to collect the consultation fee. Once again, their error when refunding the medical aid and now it has become my problem. Their error their problem. I am handing them over to my attorney.
The lack of communication and a free for all attitude from Outsurance is astounding. A deposit came into my account which was reversed a day or 2 later. No communication indicating what was this all about. The mere fact that they can "play" around with a person's private banking account is totally unacceptable. Maybe the Ombudsman needs to investigate. Secondly, a restriction was placed on my policy with regards to power surges. The details were vague so I responded to the email from the individual that sent the restriction letter, requesting more clarification. To date which is over 2 months later still no response. Not impressed, busy shopping around.
Tax done. Yet still no refund paid. Claim to have it paid within 72 hours.... maybe that refers to 1 hour for 72 days.....
Absolute amazing service from Jaimy. Professional server. Her suggestion to try the Pollo Teriyaki Pizza... well done... that has got to be one of the best lixxas I have ever eaten. Thank you and will definitely be back on my next Durban trip.
Worst experience with the online store. Reported a fault with a product sent through all the info of the problem and have never heard from them again. Went to one of their stores. Manager was willing to assist but did not have the same product to replace the faulty one. Have only worn Adidas since I was about 9 years old... simply *** service.
So sick and tired of trying to get through to speak to someone in the claims department. Phoning the call center .... after 15 min still no help... tried the whatsapp chat.... waited more then 20 min ... still nothing... sent an email.... never got a response... very quick to increase contributions by almost 15%.... but useless in responding.
Pathetic and Unprofessional
Great service from Mduduzi Shandu. Great sense of humor and super knowledgeable regarding product and insurance aspects. Always professional and was engaging enough to understand me as a client and what makes me tick. Great asset to Outsurance. Give that man a Bell's!!!
