ILLICIT BUSINESS!! BrandsSA/Brands Unlimited, if there is "brand" in the name, look elsewhere as there are several "brand" websites (brandssa.co.za). On 09 July 2025, I purchased a Defy kettle on their site, they were the only ones who was still selling that particular kettle. (should have been my 1st red flag). I purchased said kettle as per normal online process, paid through PayFast. I received NO invoice or order confirmation from "brand". There was an order number reference at least, which I could luckily use to check my order status. Finding the right website where I can track is a bit of a mission. It is 14 Aug 2025, my parcel status is still PROCESSING. This kettle was intended for a gift, clearly way passed that date now. I've sent emails, logged queries on the website to cancel the order and refund my money. NOTHING. Worst part is that it has been so long that I probably cant even claim to get my money back. Again I stress, stay away from any "brand" website and if you find one that looks legit, scrutinize it, look for reviews, go as far as calling them to check their level of customer service.
STAY AWAY. I used them for a few purchases in 2023, worked great... until I got a notification that a large amount was deducted, without OTP verification, in a city 900+ km's away. Had to wait till Monday (no after hours for emergency) to contact them, explained the situation and blocked my account. Forward to 2025, I'm getting OTP notifications for my "blocked" account. NO communication regarding investigation since 2023. Good chance of your account information getting leaked or sold for a price STAY AWAY.
Near the end of June 2024, I utilized this company to finance an item I purchased as they offered a 6 month payment option. Great. 1st two months they deducted R3k as per agreement. Month 3,4 and 5, they deducted R2,4k. A whole R600 less as per agreement. I contacted them to enquire about this, to which they said that they were aware that they were having issues with their system that was deducting incorrect amounts. No communication from their side to inform of the complications on there side, that would have been appreciated. I then asked as to how will my contract be affected as the full amount will not be paid within the agreed upon terms due to the reduced deduction. I was then informed that the final (month 6) payment will go off and will settle the balance. So my understanding is that now in Dec 2024, a final payment of R4,7k (R1,700 more than the agreed amount) will be deducted from my account. I do not have the finance nor budget to accommodate this large withdrawal, which means that I will be at a big disadvantage over this festive season. This is a great disappointment as I am the one who will be in bad standing as my credit record will be greatly affect. This is not right, that I am to suffer the consequences of this company's wrong doing. Avoid this company if you can, unless you don't mind the disappointment.

I would like to commend the company as a whole on its great customer service. Calls are quick and efficient and the CSA's are able to answer any and all questions posed to them. Their response via email is just as efficient and straight to the point. Would definitely recommend this company should you be in the market for affordable drones.

On 02 Oct 2021, we went to BayWest Printing (Copy Express) for a simple A4 mounted canvas print as a gift for a 25th anniversary. Lorenzo was the employee who assisted us. The design was approved & was told that we can collect Mon, 04 Oct 2021. This was the agreement as we would be travelling the Tues. 3 days should be MORE than enough time to print 1 A4 canvas. It is now Tues, 05 Oct 2021 & the canvas has not been printed, not just that, the changes that were made when the final design was approved, was not saved on the system. So aside from having to now wait for the canvas to be printed, the design needed to be redone. They eventually printed the canvas, only to have the border the incorrect size & have the audacity to say its our fault as the design was approved but the agent (Lorenzo) did the design on the incorrect template. Highly irritated & furious with this appalling service & end product. Definitely will not recommend this company, especially for important & expensive prints.
Feb '17 I applied online for their package special. They could not deliver on time as I was going to be out of town & made arrangements to change the delivery address. This was done, no issues but then they took too long to deliver to the new address as I was not going to be there either. So I cancelled the delivery order completely & bought the package in store. When back in my home town, I received confirmation that my packaged had been delivered & signed for... Been paying since Feb '17 & I am STILL being billed for a product that I DO NOT HAVE, that was NEVER SIGNED for by me, that was NEVER DELIVERED to me... & according to their company policy, NO DELIVERY shall be accepted by persons who do not provide proof of ID & who are not the initial purchaser of said package... So with that being said, they still allowed a stranger in another city to sign for my package without proof of ID or with prior arrangements or consent. I have logged cancellation requests on a monthly basis, nothing. I have followed the cancellation process several times, nothing. Filled in so many documents, made so many calls, wasted so much time & the only feedback or communication I ever receive from them is an automated SMS stating my query has been resolved (whatever that means). Has anyone managed to cancel a contract with this company? If so, please share your secret. I am turning all my friends & family away from this company, advising them against taking out contracts with them. I will say that there products are great yes... But it is their after sales/customer service that is appalling & what is tarnishing their reputation. So in case my rant was not clear... Can you cancel my damn device Telkom?!
DISGUSTED!!! According to their policy, when items are delivered, ONLY the person who placed the order, along with ID is allowed to sign for the parcel... Yet, Telkom, allowed a complete stranger with no proof of ID to sign for my parcel... I then contacted the courier to collect the parcel & return it to Telekom, which they did... But because it was signed for, Telekom has been deducting from my bank every month. So I am paying for a device that I DO NOT HAVE... & once u sign with Telkom, you are literally bound for life as it will take them a lifetime to cancel anything relating to them... There are those rare 1 or 2 agents that are helpful & give you this tiny glimmer that there's hope. Then Telkom steps in & sh*ts all over it... I am leaning towards taking legal action but would like some advice regarding this before I take it to the extreme, as this is a constant battle & I know there are a great number of victims who are having the same or similar nightmare.
