Was skeptical in the beginning but I took a chance and they are excellent. I ordered 2 fragrances on Sunday 17/04/2022 (Easter Sunday) and I received my order 20/04/2022. From the time the courier guy picked up my order until it was with me I was updated via email every step of the way. The fragrances came in their original packaging. Everything is as it should be. Definitely growing my collection through these guys. I hardly use hello Peter for good reviews but these guys deserve the mention.
I had a horrible experience with one of the sales agents this morning. I had requested a quote for vehicle insurance and got a call back from them. I spoke with an agent called Deon. We went through the whole process and I advised at the end that I am shopping around so once I’ve heard from the other insurers I’ll decide then. He started to raise his voice and tell me that if I am only interested in a low premium then I must go to Prime Meridian and they will give me a premium of R300. I am appalled by his behaviour which is sad because the quote I received was very good but even if I receive nothing better I will NOT join them. He needs training on professionalism.
Bunch of crooks. These guys sold me a defective tyre on Monday, I realised it in the Tuesday and tried to return it Wednesday. The guys in the shop told me the boss wasn’t there and I must call him which I did, I explained to him what had happened and he said to give the phone to one of the guys in the shop, the guy spoke with him and laughed and then he hung up and returned to sanding a rim, completely ignoring me. I asked again for the Indian guy I had dealt with and I was told he does not work there anymore. I said okay well then go get someone who can assist, he went to the house adjoining the garage/shop and returned and said they will put another rubbish tyre on and I said no just give me the refund. He again ignored me so I contacted the other number I had for the other branch and got through to the same “boss” he said call on WhatsApp and he will assist which I did but there was no answer then I called the other numbers I had and no answer. I then realised that I was not going to get my money back so I said go call the boss otherwise I’m calling the police. The guy in the shop panicked and went out to the house, when he returned he asked if I had a spare and they put the spare on, took their tyre and gave me my money back. It’s nonsense that I had to threaten to call the cops first before being helped. Thieves
If I could I would give a 0 rating. The service is absolutely appalling. I booked flight for a return trip in April on the 27/02/2021. On 01/03/2021 I received an itinerary change for my return flight from JHB because the airline changed the flight times. From that day I have been struggling to get the time changed as the proposed time is not suitable. Travel start doesn't let you call or email directly, you have to log a ticket and then they are not bothered to actually assist. Last time I will use this stupid agency.
Appalling service. I made an online order on the 16th of May, it is now the 28th of June. I have no tracking number or any indication of when I will be receiving my order. DO NOT USE THEM
Will not be using takealot anytime soon and I will definitely be discouraging everyone I know from using them. The service from them was absolute bull**** today. My order was supposed to come today (02.06.2020) and because I had a meeting away from home I made sure there were two people waiting for that order but apparently "customer was unavailable" because they weren't standing on the road. The driver did not come into the driveway nor did he bother to knock on the door, he apparently hooted and then when I did not answer my phone (because I was in a work meeting) he decided he would leave. I returned the call as soon as I got out of the meeting and this driver, Athi is apparently his name, had the audacity to tell me that if I want the parcel I can come to him, mind you this was +/- 10km away. I then called the offices where a Thandaza said she would call the driver, she didn't bother to give me feedback so I called her back and she says the driver will be here before 5 in a very rude manner. So obviously because I dont have anything else to do for today I decide I'm going to sit at the window and make sure I see this Athi. Around 4 I start to call and he isnt answering so I send a message "your office says you are delivering before 5, please confirm whether this is indeed the case" he ignores my message and 2 more calls and only responds "no I wont be delivering your parcel today" at 17h10 because obviously work ends at 5. We are in a ****ing pandemic where a lot of us are forced to work from home, these things are things that I need to properly do my work. I don't want a meaningless apology from Takealot, quite frankly I'm not interested. I will definitely be taking this further and consulting my colleagues who specialise in consumer protection laws.
Worst courier experience. You get given a tracking number and when you check it tells you your parcel is on its way to one place when in actual fact it hasn’t left.
