I placed two orders with Capetown Wear on 5 March 2026 via their website (https://capetown-wear.com) and paid by credit card. It has now been 11 days and I still have not received the goods. I have been repeatedly told that there are delays because the couriers are busy, which I find very hard to accept after this amount of time. To be fair, order numbers and tracking numbers were issued, but despite this the goods have still not arrived and there has been no clear explanation for the delay. What is also extremely concerning is that: There is no phone number listed anywhere on their website Emails are either not responded to or responses are very limited There is no reliable way to contact anyone directly This lack of communication and accountability is very frustrating for a paying customer. At this stage I strongly caution other consumers to think very carefully before purchasing from this website until they can demonstrate reliable delivery and proper customer support. Capetown Wear is welcome to resolve this matter by ensuring the orders are delivered immediately or by issuing a full refund, otherwise I will be pursuing the matter with my bank regarding the credit card transactions.
I'm a registered seller on Takealot, it's an absolute joke how these guys run their seller support. I've listed new products as a seller and Takealot has approved my new listings, but they have blocked me from shipping the items to their DC's (Warehouses) Now I sit with the stock?? Furthermore, some of the items I did manage to ship to them were sold quickly and again I've been blocked from sending / replenishing stock on these items. Called them 5 times and emailed 5 times and still no attempt to assist me. I've just been told I need to wait until they decide to assist me. So that everyone knows, I've been a seller on Takealot now for approximately 2 months and have sold 369 items on their portal as of 19/09/2025 (11h40), obviously I'm too small of a client for them to help me. I'm seriously thinking of getting out of this. If you are contemplating selling on Takealot, think again guys, it's not worth it considering the super poor service. PS - They quick to take your money but slow with everything else. Let's see how long it takes them to make an excuse re this listing
Guys, my fellow South Africans. Do not use these guys, I've been trying to cancel my service with them for 3 months now, but they keep debiting me. I've logged a cancellation request 7 times now and receive a reference number for each cancellation request, but nothing gets done about it. When you call them, you get connected to an international call centre, the guys you talk to just keep telling you they can't assist but will log the cancellation. It's a squirrel's cage, don't use these guys they're a bunch of ******, once they have your debit card details you can't cancel the service (it isn't a subscription it's a monthly service they say you can cancel at any time) Thieving bunch
Ok guys here it is. I used this *********** bunch once, beware fellow citizens. When I ordered my 48kg gas bottle, I had to pay R1500 deposit for the bottle. These ******* claim that they will refund this deposit once they collect the cylinder once you the customer (their pray) are finished using it. I did exactly that and have been lead around the garden path to get my deposit paid back I have made numerous calls to what seems to be an online business only. Spoke to Duncan, Hanna and still waiting for Leo (apparently in sales) to return my call. - Time to name and shame Do not use these ****** under any circumstances, rather burn your money, it will give you greater satisfaction. I will continue perusing this, if need be, I'll lodge a case of theft at my local police station. They won't even return my cylinder that they stole back from me. Shame on you bunch of pickpockets, I await your next excuses. Fellow citizens, please avoid this company at all costs. They should be called - yourmoney'sgone-gas
Uber eats, Putrid service. Ordered food from Uber eats / Anat the Glen at 14H00 ON 25/11/18 for delivery between 18h00 and 18h30 (as the app allows) and by 19h00 still no show on my food. I then cancel the order and still get billed even though I never got the food. Called the Uber eats call centre (bunch of rude people) on two occasions for my refund. The 1st call centre agent said they will refund me the R186.70 and that there was no need for a reference for the call as all calls are recorded and that the refund would be done...guess what no refund yet. Called again today 29/11/18 and a different call centre agent said I need to fill in a complaint. Disgusting, I don't get my food but still have to pay. I have subsequently deleted the app and will never use Uber again or order from Anat again.
