I began selling on Takealot a few months ago. My only complaint is the fees. For fees and other hidden costs, I budgeted for around 42% of the item's price. I underestimated by a lot. I ended up paying more than the item's price. I ended up paying Takealot for my items. Any product selling for under R70 was a complete loss because if a customer is not from JHB or CPT, then they charge R35 to R100+ to transfer it to their region. They also took 10% in success fees and another amount in "fulfillment fees". In other words, I listed something on takealot for R70 and they charged me R85 for it. Total loss for me as a new trader.
Shein offered me free shipping when I placed an order over the minimum amount. I ordered about R1,500 worth of goods. Other or additional fees were not disclosed to me. It cost me an additional R427 to pay for an invoice from an unknown source - which I initially thought to be spam. When I found the invoice, I called Aramex to verify where they obtained my information - and I was told that an additional R1,500 would be charged for late payment if I did not clear the customs charges within a few days. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed...
Once again, Zando hasn't disappointed. Delivery on par, received a parcel within a day of ordering. Wow! Zando, keep up the good work!
Terrible experience! Trying to finish my eWallet credit ASAP. When I wanted to sign up with Fastway, Errol was quick to respond and seemingly extremely helpful. Little did I know it was just catfish. Once I refilled my account with eWallet Errol was off the scene. My parcels got lost, never got picked up for weeks (yes, you read that right! booked a collection and it wasn't picked up for weeks!)... I cancelled a collection yet my account was still charged, and Errol simply ignores the emails I send. Very dissatisfied customer!
Wow!! Placed an order for 2 x pairs of stunning heels on the Tuesday 29th March 2021, and it arrived to my door Thursday 1st April 2021. I was pleasantly surprised at Zando's super and efficient service! The quality of the shoes are awesome, only thing I was wondering is why they came in unbranded boxes. Usually I buy the same brand and it comes with a branded box and protective material bags, this time it didn't, but I'll let it pass as the service was great. Keep it up Zando!
I am appalled. I ordered items worth about R5000 over the past few days from Truworths online. Most of the items are still on their way. With regards to the items that have arrived already, they are damaged and look like factory rejects. Luckily the store I collected the one item from had a few replacements on their shelves so I was able to exchange it for a better item. The bag and jewelery I had received were not in condition to even put back on the shelves so I am utterly disappointed that they had the audacity to send them to me taking advantage of the fact that I had placed an online order. I will lodge a return for these items and wish that they will not send the rest of the items until I know they are in the condition I expect them to be. I will change my rating if my issues are given any priority.
I'm calling from Port Elizabeth - I have previously written a review for TheCourierGuy after multiple bad experiences during the lockdown. However I will give a new review to be fair: management has improved and the quality of their services are tops. Bogus company - I was about to lose a large investment on nuts. I'm glad that I had suspected the company early. The contact person, "Gill Lenord" refuses to send a verified bank letter from FNB. Their payment terms are 50% deposit and 50% on arrival of goodies. This is a marketing scheme to attract buyers to pay sooner. Please be vigilant and do not fall for these schemes.
Incompetent. Delivery overdue, still haven't received my parcel from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and it's been collected on Monday already !! After multiple promises that my consignment would be delivered today without fail, I was disappointed once again. Get some more staff, or don't take on more consignments that you can handle, or whatever, just do a better job for God's sake.
