This afternoon, I decided to get a few items at Checkers in Muizenberg, this is a decision that I now regret. I was being helped by Nomathemba (with dreadlocks) - I am not sure if this is the standard at Checkers or if she was having a bad day and I was the recipient of her rude behavior, but my interaction with her completely ruined my day! She was still helping another customer at the till and as per COVID rules, she was disinfecting her counter. I was still waiting for her to finish, and perhaps I did not hear her call out for the next customer but she gave me such a dirty look and pointed at her till. I am an unable to verify if this is part of her training - to look at a customer in that manner, but I proceeded with placing my items on the counter. As I was doing so, she looked at me yet again and raised her voice at me and said, THE FOOD MUST BE HERE! I looked at her back and told her that I was still placing my food - to which she ignored. Instead of apologizing, or even kindly letting me know to move the items closer, she decided to have a fat laugh with her friend on the next till. My shopping experience was completely ruined and I could not even report her to a supervisor, out of fear that I would receive more dirty looks. I have been in Customer Services myself for over a decade and I will tell you right now, if I displayed an ounce of her behavior to any of my clients, I would have not lasted as long as I have! I would like to believe that Checkers does train their Cashiers not only how to work the till, but also how to deal with human beings in general. I doubt I will be making a purchase at Checkers any time soon. Regardless of whether she was having a bad and I was the unlucky recipient of her treatment. Or maybe it was simply my unlucky day - either way, I know that a customer should NEVER be treated in that manner. I hope that my complaint serves as means to upgrade your stuff with the proper way of dealing with other human beings.
A big shout out goes to Knead Bakery in Muizenburg! I always look forward to starting my day with their coffee and muesli cookies and that sets the tone for the rest of my day. I even sneak away from my desk during my lunch break to get my daily fix of pleasure. A wonderful Team that always greets with a smile (yes - I can see it behind the mask!). I wish them many more years of success and delicious muesli cookies for me to devour! I thank you again
I was ar Clicks Westguard earlier this afternoon and I got assisted by Colette Jones. What a super star! I have worked in Customer Services before but I've never witnessed someone so charming and just great. It was already 2PM in the afternoon but she was so bubbly that I couldn't but smile behind my mask! I truly meant what I said to her: I wish her all the best in life! I hope she gets promoted or at least grooms all the other staff members on service of excellence. Colette may you always shine, shine, shine!
Like the rest of the World, I suffered from the effects of COVID and took a hard knock at my wallet. I had started an investment policy with Liberty and my Financial Adviser has been Ivan Fowkes. I could write an entire essay about how outstanding he has been. From the our first call and how he carefully explained everything to me, to the the time he helped me cancel my policy. Professionalism on A+, Customer Service A+ and just overall good person. Thank you!
I recently moved homes and due to the pandemic I had to work from home. I had to quickly get my Wifi sorted out and a friend of mine suggested to try out Afrihost. Admittedly, I am not the lost tech savvy person but I decided to give them a try. The installation was just great and I now no longer worry about data and can work from home and catch up on some Netflix at the same time. The team that I would love to give a standing ovation though is their Customer Services Team. They truly embody what it is to be support. Their responses were swift and professional. Regardless of how many times I asked the same question i would get an answer. A special thank you goes to Kableo R. You're an all star. I would recommend Afrihost.com to anyone!
I was at Truworths on Adderley this morning and purchased a new cellphone. I was very Impressed with the outstanding Customer Service that I was given in morning. I didn't get the name correctly, I think one of the ladies that was helping me was Asa? But both ladies were just incredible! It takes an incredible deal to be kind and do a great job more especially during these tragic times! I really thank you so much again for the assistance. Today I was at Truworths in Durban, 387 West Street to be more precise. I purchased a cellphone for my mother and the consultant that assisted me was Hlengiwe. I have been a loyal customer at Truworths for over decade and I have never been insulted and disgusted by Hlengiwe's "customer care s****s". She looked like she didn't even want to be there and she spoke to me like I was a gross inconvenience to her life. Her behaviour was also deplorable towards her colleagues, which is fine if they accept and tolerate it. The customers following me also received the same disrespectful behaviour from her and honestly once I'm done paying my instalment I will never make a purchase there again. She really ruined my shopping experience and since her line manager was present for parts of this ordeal - I guess that customer care is not a priority at this branche.
