About two years ago, I took a risk of moving my policy from one Funeral Palour that I was with for many years to Pyramid, not because I knew or I saw Pyramid's service, but because of word of mouth and because Pyramid was offering more for almost the same premiums as the other one. I would like to thank Pyramid Funeral Parlour Boskburg Branch for the exceptional service that you rendered/provided for the Lemaoana and Masondo's family in Vosloorus the past weekend, 17 January 2026. We are lost for words, from the process of claiming to the actual funeral day. The proffessionalism and time keeping of the drivers was exceptional. They served us with honour and dignity. We did not even need to upgrade the coffin, the he**** and the family cars that we were provided where also befitting. My aunt was laid to rest in a very dignified and respectful way. In IsiZulu we say 'Izandla zindlula ikhanda'. Siyabonga. NB: Pyramid Funeral Palour you are sleeping on your marketing in the Eastrand area. Please do more. You are offering something that is different and more, for reasonable prices compared to the parlours that are around especially in Vosloorus. Be VISIBLE on social media like the North West is, as a branch/Province or District, so that pontential customers can see you.
I have used Tshipi Noto before, and what I have experienced now is the worst service ever! I called Kgontsi on Monday morning (24/02/2025) to lodge a complaint. She told me she would get back to me; she was going to the meeting. It is Tuesday today (25/02/2024) after 11 a.m., and I am still awaiting her call. At first, we were made to see the scheme coffin through the pictures because there was no physical display of the said coffin at their branch offices in Leondale. At least they redemmed themselves days later when it came to that. My worst disappointment and hurt was its CATERING SERVICE. They wasted our families's money with no care. They left a lot of peeled vegetables uncook. A lot of people didn't eat; we ran out of food when there was enough food to be cooked. They sat with buckets of peeled vegetables in the zozo they used for cooking, and that food ended up catching a lot of heat, and it was spoilt. We could not use it for anything; we had to throw away money just like that. They brought in HE****, which struggled in steephills and humps. Coming from the grave site, Tshipi Noto's cars were speeding as if they were on the race; no apologies for that, non or whatsoever. Why couldn't they manage their own time properly? As a bereaved family coming from the grave site, we had to dish up for people ourselves while some catering staff were sitting down. I still await Funi's call as well. This service is not what I wanted for my mother's funeral!
Tshipi noto head office customer service department has a germ in Praise. I want to give a huge compliment to Praise for the excellent service that he provided me with. I am highly pleased with the professional manner in which he dealt with my policy and endless inquiries for the past few days. He went the extra mile to sort out my problem. I added a new member to my medical aid around July/August 2022 I called and requested new card/s. I was told it will be posted and it will take close around 6- 8 weeks. On or about the first week of November 2022, I called again notifying Discovery that I have not received those cards I requested them to my couriered to my work address which is about 10 minute's drive from head office. Today, 23 January 2023 I haven't received those cards, and yet again I am told about the post office. I am assuming that even the 2nd ones were not couriered instead they were posted as well, why is Discovery keeps on using the same method (post office) that is not working for everyone? I can use the Digital or membership certificate, grannies do not want stories, they prefer the old card way. Can I at least pick up my cards from your head office instead of waiting another 2 months which is not guaranteed that I will receive them? Why such bad service from Discovery health?
Why every time when I am calling Finrite I am told about the bad line, I am told that they can not hear me even when I am using different phones? This has been happening for weeks now. How are we expected to follow up on our claims if we are unable to speak with consultants?
Since from last week trying to call Finrite Admiistrators in regards to my claim 1. You hold for close to 20 mintues to be told that your line is bad they cant hear you. 2. I've changed phones and I still get the same answer that they cant hear me. 3. Tried calling using a cellphone and ran out of airtime because you are on hold for a very long time. I need to speak to someone please!!!! Honestly what kind of a service is this.
During the time of bereavement were people should at least get the best service and treated with care. B3 Benoni branch was a nightmare for my family. My uncle has been with B3 since 2008, but when he lost his daughter and needed the services of B3, he came across with arrogant, inconsiderate, insensitive, don't care attitudes from the service consultant(s) from Benoni branch. We ended up moving our deceased family member from their funeral parlour to another one of which that's were we found peace when arranging my cousin's funeral. How can people with such bad attitudes work with people who lost their family members? I will never recommend B3 to anyone, never! My uncle and aunt are still disturbed by the service they received from them , worst service ever.
So I have been banking with Standard bank for years, basically ever since I started working. I had a credit card with them and it was well paid until I lost/resigned from work because of personal reasons. 5 months after being unemployed I struggled to make regular payments. After I got another job, I made regular payments even though the account was handed over to the lawyers and I did mention to them that I am not working. When I got the new job, I made regular payments and within 5 months of that I had paid the credit card off. I know that this affected my credit score. somehow. I now applied for a Mortgage loan, and I got approved by another banks, but my own bank of which my salary goes into every month declined my application with the reason of "failed score" which my score was 803/999. Why should I continue banking with Standard bank then? So my own bank is failing me? I just do not understand how can I approved by other bank with that score but be failed by my own.
