I am so GATVOL for Discovery Health!!! Month after month I have difficulties to get my chronic medication. This company just don’t belong in business because it is clear that they don’t care about the health of their members. Last month I was refused to be given my medication on the due date. Discovery themselves informed me that according to legislation medical scheme members are entitled to their chronic medication every 22nd days. After many frustrations I received my medication last month on 16 Feb. Today on 13 March 25 days later I was refused to get my medication. Apparently, it is only due on day 31 which is 19 March. This is sick and rediculous! I cannot afford to be without my medication and due to circumstances will not be able to visit a Pharmacy on 19 March. Every month several trips to a pharmacy must be made before I evetually receive my medication.
Legally members are entitled to receive chronic medication every 22 days. This month I went to Dischem on the 25th day but was informed that Discovery put a hold on it will only be due on day 28. When I went on the 28th day I was informed by Dichem that Discovery Health did put another hold on my medication and it was now die 13 days later. When I contacted them I was informed that I received my chronic medication 10 days too early in June 2025. I got penalized for a mistake Discovery staff made 8 months ago in the previous year. Fact is I did not have medication left and my with my current health condition I cannot afford to be without medication for one day. This is Discovery Health’s way of doing business the member can rather die or end up in ICU as long as they save 10 days medication worth a few hundred rand.
These are a bunch of Opportunists robbing the public. Received an e-mail that I got a R200 fine and need to pay asap. When I logged into the system it showed that I must pay R214 instead of R 200. Imagine if R14 is ****** from each offender what the total will add up to in a year. Their statement “you may qualify for50% discount” is bull**** it never happens. In most cases notification of fines are sent late which makes it impossible to qualify for 50% discount due to their poor administration. I tried to pay twice with my card but their system used to do payments is not working but, when late payments are made due their systems that are not working, penalties are allocated to the public. They threaten the public to pay but,refuse to or is not able to provide proof of the so-called offense/s.
Nobody on the shop floor to assist customers. Stock levels poorly maintained. Just a few Uzzi mens belts some sizes not availible
The big dispensaries have a cash price for medication but when bying medication through your medical scheme an additional fee is added without informing the client. These additional amounts added to medication is not controlled and meets with the aproval of Discovery Health. The result of this action is that savings on medical plans are much quicker exhausted resulting in big profits for these Pharmacies. By doing it this way they are ensured of much greater profits. It came to my attention this week that the additional fee added by Clicks is nearly 50% higher than the fee added by Dischem. Due to the above I decided to not do business with Clicks anymore.,
After many years being a loyal client I decided to close my FNB Bank account during 2018 due to poor service and high banking costs. Today was the cherry on the cake when I went into an FNB branch to bank statements and was informed that because I do not have a FNB Bank Account anymore they can unfortunately not assist. The reasons being bank statements come at a cost which can only be paid or deducted from an FNB account. How ridiculous is this so FNB clients take note the day that you leave you will be penalised and you will not have further access to what in actual fact is your property. It seems that this is only FNB. Whether this is legally correct I am not sure.
I am 69 years of age and wear Pringle clothes since the age of 28. I noticed during the last two years that the quality of Pringle clothes is not what it was. This time I bought 3 Pringle T-shirts and was very disappointed when I noticed that two of the T-shirts had holes after the first wash. When I brought this yo the attention of the shop manager the response was that it is not a manufacturing problem so it is not their fault. Fact is a very poor quality of material was used diring the manucaturing process. After being a loyal client for many years I decided today not to put my feet into a Pringle shop again and I advise people to think twice before paying extremely high proces for a brand of which the quality very poor.
I regret the day that I ever decided to do business with Liberty Life. This company do business in a sly manner to ensure that they do not have to pay out life policies by death. My Liberty Life policy was taken out in 2006. Liberty never sent me a complete policy schedule. The detail in dine print was never brought to my attention. Inly document received from Liberty is a 2 pager policy schedule which states that myanmual premium will increase with 10%. For 20 years I made a monthly contribution towards this policy. Today the age of 69 I now received a letter that my monthly premium is increased with over 40% to retain the same benefit. No pensioner can afford these type of increases which leves the pensioner no other option to cancel their insurance. What a sly scaly company Liberty Life is to mislead people. collect enormous amounts of money from their clients over years, enrich themselves and at the end ensure no payment will be made at the death of the ensured persons.
I recently made a massive mistake to transfer my business from Capitec Bank to ABSA bank. The first reason is that their systems are not secure to protect clients money. I made an electronic payment of a certain amount to a specific company on the ABSA Banking App to a certain company for a specific amount. On the App I had to accept the amount to be paid to this company but, ABSA allowed/approved another amount to go through to a company in Netherland which I never did business with. I phoned ABSA ***** Dept immediately prior the payment whent through but according to them they were not able to stop the transaction but, would conduct an investigation. I reveived feedback on the outcome of the investigation few weeks later that my money would be transferred back into my account on 27 November 2025. After I followed up twice on the progress I my money is still not paid back into my account. ABSA Bank sucks and I regret the day that that I moved from Capitec to ABSA. In addition to this problem I had a home loan with them on one of my properties which was paid of many years ago. To date I still battle to get my Title Deed from them. This company is just a nightmare to do business with!!
Takealot’s payment method is insecure and not safe at all. *****sters have access to their payment system. Purchased items tonoght got conformationd that the payment went through but, instead of the payment going through a big amount of my money was paid to a company in Amsterdam. People I will never buy from Takealot.com again. If you want your don’t want your bank account to be ****** don’t buy from Takealot.com. They sick!!!!
