I have been waiting for my order for five and a half months Unless I reach out I don't get any kind of communication Its one story after the other with no solutions, and no timeline on when I can expect anything Emails don't get responded to and Whatsapp messages take days and even weeks to get a response 100% DO NOT USE THEM
The Menlyn Branch closed down in Feb without any response to phone calls or emails since the 19th of February 2024 The response then was to wait until the 29th of Feb 2024, and still no response We live in Pretoria and can't drive to JHB every day to go to the gym, that is extra money we don't have, and yet they are quick to take my money again this month with no resolution or communication
This is not the first time that this has happened now For the past 2 days I get the message from Aramex to say that they will be delivering today, but at the end of the day when I try to track my parcel again it just says delivery attempted, customer could not be reached I work from home so there is absolutely no way that I would not know that someone is in front of my gate And nobody has tried to contact me to say that they are here Is this not why we give our contact details? So that they are able to phone and reach us, but this just doesn't get done When I try and phone the call centers nobody ever picks up, this morning I was on hold for almost 30 minutes with nothing happening The so called amazing chat bot where you can also chat to an agent is also less than useless. You just receive a generalized message of so sorry high call volume will get to you when we can Good to know that Aramex loves to be able to take your money but when they need to supply you with customer service and your products it is the worst and slowest process It's easier pulling teeth and herding cats
On Thu, 29 Aug, 11:48 (13 days ago), I ordered a dishwasher and a gas stove online at Makro. I received the dishwasher on 02 September, but not the gas oven. I didn't follow this up with Makro because the delivery date stated online in my profile was 05 September. By the end of the business day on 05 September I have still not received my oven. I started phoning about my gas oven on 06th of September. I have phoned Makro every day since only to be told that they have left an email with their follow up representatives and someone will be in touch with me shortly. Shortly is now 5 days later with no progress or help being shown. On Friday afternoon I received a call from a representative from Makro Marketplace asking me if I received my oven. I said no, to which the response was that it is strange because it says that it was signed for but there is no name connected to who signed for it. After multiple phone calls I finally receive an email from a Makro Marketplace representative on Tue, 10 Sep, 12:24 (1 day ago). Even though I have been sending emails to this representative I am still to get any response back. When I decided to lay an official complaint this morning, 11 September, I was met with we are so sorry let me try and find out was going on just as the many before her. I have given her the Makro Marketplace representative's name as well so she can go and check with said person on the progress. After waiting for 10 minutes on hold, I was told that they could not locate or get a hold of this representative. I find this service completely and utterly disgraceful. It's a lot of money that we had to spend on this only to be told that they don't know what is going on and nobody can locate the gas oven. I am yet to receive my call from someone from the 06th of September. I am the one that has to phone Makro each time to try and find out what is going on, with no avail. I am the one that has phoned the courier that the Makro Marketplace uses to try and find out what is going on, but yet still nobody can tell me what is going on Even with this review I am sure that nobody will get into contact with me. Si much for Customer Service
I would personally not even give them a 1 star rating. The service is horrible to say the least. I signed up for a years subscription in March (which is quite a lot money might I add) and I still haven't received one box from them and it is the end of June now Whenever I log a complaint or a request asking about the status, I am only greeted with unfulfilled excuses and apologies. And now that I have asked for a refund nobody is getting back to me. I've spent a lot of money only to be getting nothing from them Definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone, unless they want a constant headache over where their money has gone. Don't fall for this company. They only scam you out of your money
