Despite the fact that I have an insurance claim that has been acknowledged as valid, it has been SIX MONTHS, and I still have no resolution or payment of my claim. They have literally tried every evasive technique in the books (that I know of and a couple of new ones) to avoid paying my claim - I REPEAT they have ACKNOWLEDGED THE LEGITIMACY OF MY CLAIM but keep on trying to reduce the amount that needs to be paid out! It has now reached a stage where I am going to lodge an official complaint against them with the Ombudsman.
If I could, this would be - 10. I have never had such bad service from MTN as well as their insurance service provider Admyntec. Despite having had my insurance claim for a ****** phone approved weeks ago and paying over almost a R1,000 in good faith I am still waiting to hear from them when I will receive my new phone. I have called (and they pretend that they are unable to hear you (EVERY SINGLE TIME IRRESPECTIVE OF THE PHONE YOU USE) despite the fact that the other services on the same line are able to hear you clearly!!! From the experience I've been having, I've started wondering if it's not a **** because this doesn't seem to be going anywhere no matter what I try - emails, WhatsApp's, requests for phone backs. Nothing, nada, niks. I've attempted to have it sorted out at two MTN branches with the same zero success. Has anyone else who has paid huge insurance premiums month for month for years on an MTN contract had the same experience?

You know how difficult it is to find an insurance broker that you can fully trust and depend on (even when the going gets really tough)? The good news is that we have hit the jackpot. If you ever need someone to be in your corner, to broker the best deals and to fight 'your' fight then I truly recommend Reinart du Bruyn (reinart.dubruyn@attooh.co.za). You won't be sorry. Not for a second. I really don't know what I would have done without him.
If zero or minus stars were possible, that is what Tevo would get. They provided me with a used poor quality vacuum cleaner, instead of fixing my high quality unit. To make matters worse, they were not up front about this swop at any point, including when I went to fetch the (boxed) unit. And the final straw is that just on two weeks later, they haven't repaid the close on R3,000.00 that I paid them for "fixing" the unit!!! Handed in my vacuum cleaner for repair. Received a quote for it’s repair and paid this. Advised that it was ready for collection. Was asked if I wanted the old parts that had been replaced and said no thanks. At home I discovered that the boxed unit was not my repaired vacuum cleaner, but a 2nd hand Bennett Read one. Sneaky right? Anyway, after making some noise I discovered that the “old parts that were replaced” was actually my vacuum cleaner that hadn’t been touched. So took the BR one back to the Tevo Service Centre (lots of time wasted to-ing and fro-ing and chasing up), took my old (unfixed) unit back and was promised that the money that I had paid in good faith would be repaid without delay and I would be provided with a notification in this regard. So has this been done? NO of course not. Why was I naïve enough to think that an organisation that was willing to act in a disingenuous manner would play straight with the repayment of my money. Here I am, close on 2 weeks later, still waiting for that notification of repayment like an idiot. And I’m absolutely furious
If there was lower than 1 star then the Menlyn Branch of the Car Care Clinic would still have been given a score that is too high. Numerous promises, numerous let downs and still waiting for the call to bring in the car to have the plate in the passenger footwell (which was supposedly on order) replaced. Things broken instead of being fixed, basic, basic things not attended to. More than R30,000.00 later and 5 trips back and we are still struggling, including that the hydraulic steering system that was fitted will literally kick out while travelling on the highway doing 120.
