I wouldn't recommend Afrihost to anyone. Last year October, I was constantly having connection issues. Every time a ticket was lodged, they say they reset the connection and it should be fine. A day later (Sometimes even an hour later) the connection goes bwck down to where I wait minutes for a speed test oage to load. I have been going back and forth regarding a credit note request for having these issues for half the month. And finally, at the end of May, they finally decided they will issue a credit... Of R61. I pay R1000 a month, and they credit me with R61 for half a month of internet issues and 7 months of back and forth with staff that continuously ignore my emails and call back requests. Afrihost doesn't seem to care about their customers in the slightest.
After being **** to by 3 separate people in regard to my delivery, then being ignored and hung up on, I strongly urge you to simply stay away from this business. The customer service is some of the worst I have ever seen. The 3rd person who **** to me, and admitted to it, refused to even give me her name so I can lodge a complaint.
This was by far the worst food I've tasted. The burger I ordered was the most bland thing I've had in my life, and the nachos weren't even nachos. They literally opened a bag of Doritos and covered it in some cheese and beef. This was absolutely pathetic. I would never recommend this to anyone.
Been waiting two weeks for my router after my order has been accepted. Called yesterday to follow up on the order as I was not getting a response on my email. I was then notified that they cancelled my order without even thinking of notifying me of the cancellation or the reason therefor. Still waiting for a response to emails sent to them, and they simply keep me on hold when trying to call. I'm not even an official customer yet and their service is already terrible.
Absolutely terrible connection and next to no support. Don't waste your money here.
I ordered one of their fibre packages. And upon installation, Openserve (Who is responsible for the fibre lines in my area) messed up the installation causing our current fibre line to be "uninstalled" (The word Telkom used). I lodged a cancelation request before November, and it still isn't finalised. I'm being billed monthly without being able to use the wifi. Openserve also blatantly lied and said they did a full installation, yet they were only here a few minutes, AND we already had a fibre box installed. This means when the cancellation finally gets finalised, I will have to pay a R3k fee even though they did no installation. The service received was horrific and I regret signing up for the package. I am now losing money and a lot of patience while nothing seems to be done about the issue.
