As a dependant on my husband's medical aid, I am supposed to be included in the Vitality premium that is paid monthly by him. For 17 years Discovery has been debiting my personal account and my husband's account for the Vitality premium. Thus, a double payment! I phone Discovery daily to resolve this issue and have collected hundreds of reference numbers for the enquiries with no further response from Discovery to resolve this issue. The customer service is shocking to say the least!!!!
I have been for eye tests and consultation in 2023 with Dr Kruger and Dr Anderson. Due to the diagnoses that was not explained, results that werr never discussed with me and poor service, I asked Sylvia, the admin lady to send a concent form, so that they can send my results to me. I would like to go to another Ophthalmologist. I have requested the form and test results 4 days ago and I am still waiting for this. I phone daily and Sylvia always says she is too busy. She talks over me and complains about how hectic her job is.
Nice setting, but service extremely slow. Had a Chicken Burger a Beef Burger that were on par with Wimpy.
My experience with Dr Anderson and Dr Kruger was very upsetting. I had a consultation in July 2023 and again in December 2023. The test results were never discussed with me in detail and during the consultation with Dr Kruger, my consultation was continuously interrupted by other staff. The doctor also swapped frequently between other patients during my consultation. I have also paid excessively more for same tests that were repeated and never discussed with me. When I queried this, I was informed that it is due to the fact that I can claim from the medical aid. I have however paid cash and informed them that it is not claimed from a medical aid. I had to phone and ask four times from them to e-mail the invoices and referral letter to me, but they could not spell my surname correct, even after spelling it for them each time, therefore, I did not receive the e-mails.
I have e-mailed several times to resolve the issues with my account since February 2021, but these issues have still not been resolved. I spend hours at a time to reach someone to discuss my query with and I have sent several emails, but still the matters has not been resolved. Two of the employees that I have spoken with have not been able to assist me. Moaaz has contacted me and promised that the money owed to me will be paid into my bank account. This promise was made over a month ago and I have still not been credited. Another employee Marlien van Wyk was also not helpful. The service from Thrifty is shocking!!!
After writing a review on hellopeter, the only response that I got, from Edgars was that the matter was escallated and that if I have any queries, I sould contact them. Back to square 1!!! I have contacted them several times and went to the Fourways store in person, only to be told to do that all over again... I have received my November statement only and I have found that the purchases in question still have not been explained and that I am still being charged interest. I have never purchased on the 20 month Budget account before and this is still appearing on my statement. The level of incompetency, no interest and not caring at all is shocking!!!
I have visited the Edgars Fourways Branch twice in order to resolve an issue with my account, but they were not helpful. I was informed that they could not assist and that any errors on my account would be corrected with the October 2020 statement. I have received the October 2020 statement and I have found that the purchases in question still reflected on the statement and that I am also now being charged interest. I have never purchased on the 20 month Budget account before and this is now appearing on my statement as well. I have emailed their customer care as well at the end of October and have still not received a response. I am now considering closing my account.
