I have purchased 9 Nomination links and a necklace from Bella Luna Online, which is a significant and expensive order. So far, I have only received three links, all stuffed into a single damaged box, instead of being packaged individually as standard for Nomination jewellery. The necklace arrived badly tangled, clearly due to careless packing. The items were not gift-ready, not protected, and not presented in a way that reflects a premium jewellery retailer. When I requested the missing boxes, customer service was dismissive and avoided taking responsibility, rather than apologising or resolving a very reasonable issue. The photos I’ve shared show the poor packaging clearly. For a retailer selling high-end branded jewellery, both the handling of the products and the customer service were far below acceptable standards. This experience has been frustrating and deeply disappointing.
OneDayOnly sold me a Philips Sonicare toothbrush that arrived completely dead. I reported it immediately and returned it through their own courier yet weeks later I still have no refund. Instead of processing a simple DOA refund as required by the Consumer Protection Act, they keep delaying and hiding behind supplier feedback and vague mentions of possible deductions. None of this is lawful for defective goods. I have now been out of pocket for R1 599 with zero resolution. Terrible service. Slow, evasive and not CPA compliant. Shoppers beware, their refund process is a nightmare
If I could rate Takealot zero stars, I absolutely would. After years of giving them the benefit of the doubt, I’m done. The service is consistently appalling. Orders frequently arrive weeks late, with missing and/or cancelled items… and returns are an outright nightmare. The returns process is broken — collections are missed without warning, and there is no communication whatsoever. You’re expected to sit at home all day, hoping someone might show up. Worse still, Takealot routinely refuses to honour valid returns, even for expensive items that arrive defective or fall apart after minimal wear. This isn’t just bad service — it’s a blatant disregard for consumer rights and the Consumer Protection Act. I’ve now escalated the matter to the Consumer Ombudsman. As it stands I have not been refunded for numerous returned items and items I paid for were never delivered or credited. Shop here at your own risk. The so-called “discounts” are nothing special — you’ll often find LOWER prices in physical stores, without the gamble. I strongly advise taking your money elsewhere.

Awful flowers… awful service. And ********* business practices employed in their issues of vouchers. Use these sub standard florists at your peril.
The most awful airline in South Africa by far. Ridiculously long wait time in a priority queue. Misinformation about boarding time and a very delayed boarding. Zero on board service and general chaos all around. Fly in this airline at your own peril. We will never use it again.
