Just disturbed with investment made for shares as part of Vivian Moodleys initiative. A waste of time and I have heard NOTHING about shares etc. Just refund my cash with interest
Their hand held test is fairly accurate and cheaper than other providers. The branch at the mount edgecombec plaza in KZN s run by a lazy lethargic person. Reviews will also verify this. On the 7th I brought in 2 patients at 5 past 12 midday and this lady was talking or consulting. She finished at 12.25 and came to us and informed us she attend do the test as she closes at 1pm. We asked her to do one at least but she refused. The website says urll close at 2pm. Sort this branch as I drove 54 km to get there and wasted my time. Prior to this a colleague was refused at 12.45 also on a Saturday. Thanks
This lab takes close onto 2 weeks to provide simple results for glucose, kidney function and cholesterol levels. They are also not responsive to queries and not honest when you query. They claim to be service orientated and affordable. I might as well pay more for effective and efficient service
Members section has deteriorated from the time race coast and Hollywood took over. I was an owner and member until 2019 and the service we got was great. No longer the case as I am trying to get answers from the western cape and the ladies in durban with no luck. Phone and emails are not attended to. Hollywood or race coast are not interested in the ordinary man on the street or ordinary R1000 member. Now it's about glamour and the big bucks. This will not last and this is my promise. Some older punters have observed this and already giving up this elitist game.

I am convinced this is because of the exclusive weight management, hearing and back and neck programmes. The medical aid schemes must investigate this reckless spending as we members suffer. We need cover and care for consults and meds. These high ends tiers cost up to R13000 per member while board members and some selected service providers only benefit.
On 30 December 2025 we had a 1pm appointment for a new ID card which we did online. We had a MEANINGLESS appointment for 1pm but followed normal queues. We finished at 4.16pm and were informed that the cashier had closed at 4.00pm and we must return on the 31st December ....next day. What a waste of time. In total about 10 of us were affected and begged to pay as we had traveled long distances. An elderly Indian lady had hired a car. We had no luck. All the hype and publicity on TV was a waste of time that home affairs worked extended hours in the festive season. Close this useless department down
Absolute archaic and ******* business way of doing things. I have household cover and the TV broke. Budget is using some cheap business from Pretoria to deliver the TV in durban. It's over a week I am without a TV. The furniture company and claims agent dont answer calls or emails. Please dont take insurance with this company. It's my first claim and so much hassles.
Ombuds like the NFO are creations of government uding taxpayers money. The bureaucracy and laziness sets in and they neglect the consumers they should serve. I have complained and sent emails to the NFO and they don't even acknowledge. Try calling and the phone rings. Government needs more structures like small claims court....that works. Shut down some useless ombudsperson that exist. The ombuds are not accountable to anyone. Who regulates these ombuds
Their website and newsletter commit the business to professional management, reliable communication and accountable management. They allegedly practice on trust and good governance. THIS IS FAR FROM WHAT SERVICES ARE RENDERED in Durban. I have sent 10 emails and numerous phone calls to the useless Durban office and dealt with Lee Anne and Nadine who make empty promises and just don't care or respond to queries. They lack empathy and lack passion in this field. They certainly not assisting Mafadi live up to their values. I also cannot get the copy of the agreement with mafadi and my body corporate. Please, please stay away from mafadi.
Another hefty increase for 2026 yet this fund continue to provide cronies work with useless weight loss programme, mental health and the back and neck program. Fir 5 years I attended the back and neck with zero improvement but the back and neck centre charged close to 10k for my wide and I. This is hy our fees are going up exorbitantly every year. Thus medical aid will close doors like Sanitas and prosano due to poor governance and useless programs.
