My Mother has been receiving multiple calls from number **********. A google search revealed that this is a debt collection number assigned to Edgars. The women who calls tells my mum she is from Edgars and says that my mother is in arrears and that she is going to hand her over for debt collection and list her with the credit bureau. She demands that my mother provide personal information yet she will not confirm her name. She told my mum yesterday that she is allowed to cal her up to 5 times and she will continue to call her daily. I pay my mum's bills online and I can confirm that she is not in arrears and never has been and I have the statements to prove this. I asked her to close her account years ago but she holds on because she has had this account for about 40 years. The only reason my mum has a balance is because she has these two mysterious insurance policies that she has been billed for as well as Edgars Club VIP. None of which we have ever consented to. In fact my mother has been to Edgars and Menlyn to try and cancel these charges where she was told the systems re offline. I think Edgars is committing fraud at this point and they are willingly handing over the personal information of paying customers to third parties who prey on the elderly. I am DISGUSTED.
I bought shoes yesterday at rage and when I got home there were 2 shoes for the right foot ONLY! NO LEFT SHOE. So my husband went today to exchange and get the correct pair without the slip cos I lost it and was informed we can't be assisted and rhats our problem!!! I mean since when do shoes get sold as right foot ONLY in and or left foot ONLY in a box?? And furthermore i asked my husband to show them my transaction history from my bank app stating clearly a RAGE transaction for the same shoe price was processed by the bank. And then when I called their customer service I was told I can't be helped cos I have no receipt. So their incompetence to have the right shoes in a box must now cost me??? And because we had a wedding to attend my husband ended up swiping again for another pair...but above is the treatment we get for being customers at Rage. Im highly disappointed for such neglicence and lack of care.

I am a regular customer, monthly and weekly shopping, and spend upwards of R 5000.00 at this store each month, and have been living near it since 2008. On Sun 26 July, I did a weekly top up, saw Simba chips were advertised for R 21.00 for 2 packs, bought 6. On Sat 1 August I returned to the store, saw again that the same offer was advertised on the rack, bought 6. On arriving at the till I was told thet 3 of the 6 have to be Niknaks. I went to the rack, tore off the adverti*****t, brought it to the till, it clearly said 2 packs for R 21.00, 125 g or Niknaks 135 g. Nothing about it having to be one pack of Niknaks out of every 2. The till operator just looked at me. I requested a manager, after a considerable wait a rather surly young lady arrived, I showed her the ad, and she also just looked at me. By now , very irritated, I told them to remove the chips from my purchase. No apology, no explanation, nothing given. To ad insult to injury, I went home and examined the previous weeks purchase, to see that I was charged for 6 packs at full price on the 26th July as well. As I said, its not the money, the total involved was R 30.00, its a matter of a trust relationship broken, and when confronted with the issue nothing done about it. It makes me wonder how many other "specials"I had purchased through the years without checking my receipts.
