STAY FAR AWAY! No business ethic. NO humanness. We are South African residents living abroad so easy to be taken advantage of. Signed OTP for a development property. EVERY single document was signed electronically which is NOT binding. Not once was ink put to paper. Obtained a bond offer from Standard Bank. Shortly after, my salary changed significantly. I firstly advised Standard Bank about my change of circumstances who instructed me to contact the transferring attorneys. I contacted ESI Law several times to tell them I could no longer afford the property due to a significant decrease in salary. They IGNORED MY EMAILS FOR 7 WEEKS!!!!!! I requested documents which went unanswered. For example, had LUTORIA secured finance from the bank for this specific development. The attorneys and developer are very quick to make demands yet completely ignore relevant questions. Pieter Goosen sends a letter of demand for LOSS and WASTAGE to the amount of R78,000 on top of our R50,000 deposit they are still withholding!!!! No response from the developer about our financial predicament. Just a letter of demand almost two months after notifying all parties that I could no longer afford the quoted repayment. I don’t understand why, as the property has been sold on. LUTORIA refuse to give us our R50,000 deposit plus interest back after communicating our affordability change. Were we supposed to take out a mortgage and not feed our family?? Or get bad credit because of a loan we were in no position to pay?? So very money hungry. We notified of our change of finances less than 1 month (Jan 2022) after signing NON binding documents electronically. We did not set LUTORIA developers back in any way. By July this year, the foundation of the homes hadn’t even been laid. Not even one. The property has been sold. Therefore ALL COSTS have been settled by the owners of the property. None of which fall upon us. YOU have your money. GIVE ME MINE!!! Upon contacting Standard bank on 27/10/2022 we were informed that they cancelled the bond on 1 August 2022. Standard Bank mentioned that Esi Law is in dispute with LUTORIA regarding our deposit. I can safely assume the bond cancellation was conveniently withheld, as a means to hold onto our R50,000. There is NO honoured bond. Pay me back what DOESNT BELONG TO YOU!

We have approached the Cape Law society and still waiting on feedback. We did not set these developers back in any way. Upon contacting Standard bank on 27/10/2022 we were informed that they cancelled the bond on 1 August 2022. So where is my money? Standard Bank also mentioned that Esi Law is in dispute with the developer regarding our deposit. I do not understand that after all my emails and queries, no one bothered to contact me to let me know the bond had been cancelled. I can safely assume this information was conveniently withheld, as a means to hold onto our R50,000. This is CRIMINAL; from people who are supposed to uphold our legal system.
This review is on behalf of my husband Brett Thomas. We are South African residents living abroad so easy to be taken advantage of. Signed OTP for a development property. EVERY single document was signed electronically which is not binding. Not once was ink put to paper. Obtained a bond offer from Standard Bank. These documents too, were signed electronically. We were even informed by the transferring attorneys (ESI Law) that the bank would not accept electronic signatures. We were advised to give my mother POA who would be signing the documents ON our BEHALF instead of having the documents couriered to us. These documents were NEVER sent, and never signed. A short while after receiving Standard Banks bond quote, my salary changed significantly. Contacted STD BANK several times to do the right thing by not taking out a loan that we could NOT afford. The bond quote STATES that the offer can change of your financial situation changes. IT DID!!! The bank REFUSES to cancel our bond offer. This is RECKLESS LENDING. The bank could not even get my bank account card to me. I mean, really??? So I don’t own a card for the account that no longer even exists yet there is a supposed bond in my name that cannot be cancelled by STANDARD BANK unless AUTHORISED by the transferring attorneys. What a load of rubbish. The financial implications wild fall upon the bank yet they cannot dictate who gets what. The transferring attorneys refuse to return our deposit due to this fact. They are suing us for LOSS and WASTAGE!!!! One year on, the house has still not been built. They refuse to give us our R50,000 deposit plus interest back after communicating our affordability change. NO monies were paid over by the bank. The property has since been SOLD so how can there be two bonds for one property? This is criminal!!
We are South African citizens living abroad. There is absolutely no way to contact any of your departments. No email addresses and no direct contact for home loan department. I need to talk to someone about our approved home loan urgently as my financial situation has changed.
This rating would not be what it is without the gentleman who has been CONSISTENTLY assisting my husband with regards to his account settlement. Zanethemba’s service has been OUTSTANDING! Nimble group is lucky to have you!! If anyone is having a hard time with customer service Zanethemba is your man. Highly responsive and gets the job done.
I have paid my debt but done so via Remitly because I no longer reside in South Africa. For the funds to be released Nimble Group is needing to fill out a SARS document. I paid the money over on Friday and the form has not been completed as I can track the progress on my end. I have emailed three times to confirm what needs to be done as well and sending the necessary documentation through myself. Please can someone fill out the forms so the money can be released. It shouldn’t be so difficult. Brett Thomas
My husband and I moved to Australia over 5 years ago. Payment of our account with FNB was left to a family member. It has come to our attention that the loan was in fact not paid and there is now a judgement in my husbands name. We have called FNB 20 plus times. So has my mom who still resides in Cape Town. Called the attorney who it was handed over to (no longer with them). We have emailed FNB. All the while getting the run around. Do you know how difficult it is to call around South Africa from outside the country? No one returns emails and this has been ongoing for weeks. Why is it that no one wants to be paid what is owed? Why does all contact get transferred to the ‘right’ department only to then continue to be ignored. Who can contact me to get their money??? Absolute nonsense!!!!!!
We urgently needed assistance obtaining our South African Police Clearence certificates. Residing in Melbourne, there was very little we could do on our end to speed up the process. I reached out to Hamilton and he responded immediately! He kept me up to date without me needing to keep contacting him! And once he had our documents, our PCC were ready in just 9 DAYS! I cannot recommend this company enough. The service was outstanding!!
