We submitted the required documents on 03 July 2025 for a simple correction. It has now been well over 8 weeks, and despite multiple follow-ups and even setting a clear deadline of 22 August 2025, there has been no response whatsoever. Not even a basic acknowledgment. This is meant to be a straightforward administrative task, yet the Department has shown zero urgency, zero accountability, and zero communication. The prolonged inaction is directly creating unnecessary risk and negatively impacting operations. It is disgraceful that a government department tasked with serving the public can operate with such inefficiency. We are now left with no option but to escalate the matter further, as this level of service is completely unacceptable. Department of Employment and Labour – you are failing the very people you are meant to support.
If you think dealing with a government department is bad, try dealing with Marquis — their service team takes incompetence to a whole new level. For over 4 months, I’ve been going back and forth with them over a serious issue: they changed my debit order date without my consent, in direct breach of our sales agreement. This wasn’t just a small error — it caused direct financial loss on my end. Despite multiple attempts to get in touch and escalate the issue, I’ve been met with silence, empty promises, and absolutely no progress. It’s shocking how a company can operate with such complete disregard for accountability or customer care. At this point, calling their service team “useless” would be a compliment. This has been going on since since February 2025, and still no resolution. The way Marquis operates is unacceptable and frankly, the ombudsman should be stepping in to hold them accountable. If you’re considering doing business with them — think twice. Useless, Pathetic and Poor... these 3 words understate the incompetence of Marquis Finance!
A one star rating would be too much when it comes to the after-sales service and support of the Marquis Finance Team. I will do my level best not do give them any business in the future. I have been communicating with them back and forth for more than a month and nothing has been resolved. My advice to anyone considering using marquis to steer clear from them. Poor business ethic from staff and poor after-sales service as well. Multiple requests were sent through the portal as well as through email. The result of Marquis' incompetence has cost extra in bank charges and interest even though the debit order failure came from their end. A company will not respond to customer complaints or queries if they doing ********* business practices.
1 star is too high of a rating for the level of service I have received from the Benmore and Sandton City Branches. Consultants do not seem to have any competency and care for the work they do. My time has been wasted and they've added to my financial stress. Being a new customer and having the sort of service they have given me shows that FNB just wants your money and does care about their clients like they advertise they do. Even lodged a complaint which to this day has no resolution. Go to Capitec rather.
Very unreliable and untrustworthy!!! Wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!! They'll take your money and deliver nothing!!! They double booked us!!!
1 star is still too good of a rating for this pathetic thieving company!!! Rain is a theif... firstly they do not have any customer service in place... secondly they have debited my account even though I did not use it for the entirety of october... i got in contact with their support and the employee jut brushed it off like it was not her problem...I want my refund as rain has unlawfully stole money from account!!!! They are the worst and I wouldn't suggest anyone to take out the service from them!!!!
