I currently hold a motor warranty policy with Outsurance. Yesterday (27/02/2025), I contacted Outsurance to inquire about adding my vehicle to my policy. During the call, I requested information regarding the coverage and premium. I explained to the consultant that while I might need the coverage, I was not financially prepared to proceed at that time and that I am currently insured with another insurance company. I wanted to ensure I cancel my current policy first and then call back to confirm the addition. I assured the consultant I would reach out again once I was ready to move forward. Today, on February 28, 2025, I called Outsurance again to inquire about starting the coverage in April. I was informed that the new vehicle had already been added to my profile! Additionally, when I told the consultant that I might have to cancel the vehicle quote I received yesterday due to my current insurer not answering my calls, and that I would have to hold off with Outsurance until I resolved and cancelled my current policy, I was told that they would no longer be able to keep my motor warranty in place because they no longer sell it as a standalone product. I was informed that I would have to insure my vehicle with them to keep the motor warranty. The consultant yesterday never mentioned that things would change if I did not take the vehicle insurance. I felt that I was being misled. I asked today’s consultant what would have happened if I had not called them yesterday, and she said I would still have my motor warranty. I regret ever calling them for a vehicle insurance quote. Now I’m told they will first have to listen to the recording. If push comes to shove, I will cancel all my policies with them and take my business to another insurer because I cannot do business with dishonest people.
So I've written a review already. This just to say that after my review, they phoned me to say that they've seen my review and that if they send me my order, if I will consider to take off my review on Hellopeter! Needless to say they promised again that they will send my order immediately, that was a full month ago and nothing yet!! I haven't remove my review because I knew they were trying to con me again. What odacity!! The just keep on lying and scheming and does not even feel anything to take people's money and not deliver the goods. They are shameless! Stay away from Blend Cosmetics
Blend Cosmetics is the biggest ****mers! Stay away from them. Placed an order a month ago and still not receive it. When you contact them, they always say "waiting for new stock to arrive next week" When you try and track online, it still says "processing" It's money down the drain but lesson well learned. You'll only see the positive feedback on their Facebook page because they delete the negative ones. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEM!
These guys are the biggest ****mers you can get. Do not ever use them! They look very professional but is shamelessly ****ming people. They will "fix" your fridge and when you call them to say the fridge is not working, they will not answer your call or they will say they'll phone you back but the never call you. I place these guys in God's hands. They will most definitely rot in hell because they don't think twice to rob people from their hard earned money.
No longer quick deliveries. They keep on pushing delivery time. I'll try out Pick & Pay going forward.
In May 2024, I had a geyser that was faulty. The plumbing company at the time found that there was a PRV valve that needed to be replaced before finale installation could be done. A call was logged on 28 May 2024 to Advance Valves to come and replace the faulty valve. A guy called Omar came out the same day, replaced the valve in a matter of minutes and by the evening my geyser was installed and working perfectly. I am so grateful to Advance Valves for they swift response and excellent work. You guys come highly recommended. Regards, Mrs Burton
On 22 May 2024, I registered a claim for a burst geyser with Discovery Insure. They assigned my claim to JJ Lourens Plumbing who contacted me the very same day. Monique van Zyl from JJ Lourens Plumbing took control of this claim and dealt with it in a very professional and friendly manner. She kept in contact with me the whole time to keep me up to date of progress. The very 1st guy that came out the next day, was not very professional in the sense that he did not really explain to me how the process was going to work. They just went up to the attic and started to do whatever they were supposed to do. It so happened that our area's water was disconnected by our local municipality and they had to stop working. Telling me that they will come back the same day but a little later when the water was connected again. So, the water was off for just under an hour. I waited for the guys to come back but they never did. In my mind I thought that they would contact their office to let them know the situation and that they will have to come back to me, the client. But they never did. When it got closer to 18h00, I started to worry and I phoned their office. The lady that answered my call was very surprised to hear about my situation and said she was not aware of any of it. She immediately phoned another guy, called me back again to say that one of their guys will come by a little later the same day to assist us. Their guy came, a very friendly and very helpful person (I think his name was what sounded like "Helpus) and he immediately started to work. He did everything he could to finalise the installation but discovered that there was a faulty PRV valve. He apologized for the inconvenience but promised that someone will come the next day to replace the faulty valve and then he'll be back to do the last bit of the installation. Monique once again did her magic, the valve was replaced the next day. Helpus, the plumber can back the same day. He struggled a bit but said to me that he will not leave before our geyser was fixed! That evening he left my home roundabout 9pm and was so happy for that we had hot water. Made me promise to call them again if there were any problems afterwards. What an amazing team - they are the best especially "helpus" who came to our rescue. This was an excellent job done. Thank you JJ Lourens Plumbing! Mrs Burton
On 22 May 2024, I logged a claim for my geyser. A guy called Tshepo Kekane, from Discovery Insure handled my claim. Claim was registered within minutes. I received a confirmation email almost immediately and my claim was dealt with in a very professional and efficient way. Tshepo's swift assistance was the reason a new geyser was installed in a matter of days. Thank you so much to Discovery Insure - you really delivered excellent service. The few days that we had to wait for hot water, was really worth it. You guys rock! Mrs Burton
If I could give a zero rating I would. Anack Amini from Amin Building Renovations (Pty) Ltd never finished my project. Was seldom at my house to check on progress. Very poor work was delivered. I paid money for cupboards in April 2022; he never delivered and installed them. My house was supposed to be finished on 4 July 2022, only half of the work was done. He used cheap material. He never worked according to a program. I had to appoint a new contractor to finish the job costing me way more than anticipated. It is very unfortunate that this happened because I trusted him with my money and he came across as a very honest man. But in hindsight, my gut is telling me that he was already in some sort of trouble when he started out with my house. I was just a means of funding his other projects and he never intended to complete my job. Me and my family lived in ********** conditions over the last three months with heavy rains coming through my roof and walls. I tried to get my money back through court proceedings but he now claims that his business is no longer functioning. Do NOT WORK WITH MAN!!! He is very dishonest and he will take your money without blinking an eye!
STAY AWAY FROM AUTO & GENERAL!! They are the worst in the industry. The don't offer any support when you are in accident. I logged a call for an accident and was told so many lies from different consultants. The one consultant assigned to my claim, Tanya Venter started off friendly and sounded as if she will do everything in her power to assist me through the process, told me my excess was R7 500. I disagreed with her as I was sold a no excess policy because I am over 50 - that was the campaign that they had going on at the time. I was also told in an email (23 Feb) to please note that they will be in contact with me and that is no need for me to contact them as there is a process taking place. They will be in contact 1 Mar 2023. The very same day I receive a call from Auto Magic saying my claim was approved but the excess will be R10 000! I was notified that there is no Auto Magic in my area and they don't deal with panelbeater in my area. Kaboom! The next moment I receive a letter from A&G saying my claim was approved and Faber Coachworks in Montague Gardens will do the work and the will contact me. How's that for a dog's breakfast? I've asked Tanya Venter to look up the recording when I first took out the policy to check some detail, she promised to get back to me by COB 1 March (via Nicolas) - nothing. I cancelled my policy with Nicolas on 1 March. I received and email from Tanya on 6 March to say she is "in the process of transcribing my call" - she doesn't even know my policy was cancelled. A&G as a business failed to meet any customer expectation in terms of service quality, response time, or overall customer experience. This company has no integrity.
