This company owned by Mark Read is *****ulent and he and Chanti are white collar con artists. I ordered and made full payment for a pool cover on the 24 October 2024. After several emails requesting when my pool cover will be delivered, I have still not received my order. Mark and Chanti either do not respond or they offer pathetic excuses. This is the worst company to do business with and they should be taken to court for all of the people who's hard-working money they have ******.
I would like to share my frustration with Travelstart. My husband was hospitalized for a month and we were unable to fly to Jhb return to Cape Town. After my dealings with FlySafair, the airline refunded the flights to Travelstart. We have been contacting Travelstart since the 1st if August for this money to be refunded to us. To date there has been no resolution from Travelstart. Every agent at the call centre has not been able to give us any details. Despite us sending them the credit notes from the airline. This has been the most frustrating experience. Travelstart still has our money which was paid to them on the 6 and 7th July 2023. My advice to everyone is not to book using Travelstart, rather go directly through the airline.
I called this company to open my husband's car as it had locked itself after I had jump started it - my husband is in hospital. Granted I never asked what the cost would be, but thinking that they would be online with other Locksmiths. The locksmith opened the car via the side window removing the keys from the ignition - a job that took no more than 20 minutes and then charged me R1595! That is the cost of seeing a specialist. I will definitely not be making use of them again. This was a clear case of daylight *******
I am appalled at the worst turnover time from Westbank. My daughter has been trying to get the registration papers for her car which she has a buyer for before she leaves the country since 13 June. Despite numerous calls and emails to the Westbank, she has still not received the document. This has placed her under extreme stress. The service is shocking and as an existing FNB and Westbank client it makes me think twice about which bank I am banking with
I recently applied for a homeloan with Standard bank and although my financial situation is sound, my application was declined due to having been under debt review. I find it extremely discriminatory of the bank to disregard my application based on that. It seems like the more debt you have - credit cards etc (which I do not have) the more likely they are to assist you. I have had a bond for the past 20 years and have never missed a payment. I have raised this matter with the banking ombudsman, but I know that STD bank will merely reword their resolution. In the end it will still come back to being discriminated on the grounds of having being under debt review. Banks should not encourage people to go under debt review when they are not going to treat them fairly once the debt review has been completed.
I placed myself under debt review after my divorce 3 years ago with Debt Care. This year I paid up all my debt and received great service from Samantha Collins in getting the necessary clearance certificate within a matter of days so that I could apply for a homeloan. Thank you!
