I bought your 1kg maize meal product at Shoprite Matsamo Mall last Thursday (08-01-2026). I only opened it today (12-01-2026) and it contained LIVE WORMS and what seemed to be 'lumps of spider webs'. My first thought was to check the expiry date and the date written on the package is 20-05-2026. This is a serious health hazard and I question how you conduct your quality checks. Imagine the families that buy large quantities and often just cook without inspecting because they believe that your products are 'healthy and nutritious' as you paint them out to be. I took images of said product. The manufacturing date written is 07-10-2025 09:06. This is followed by F6 RFN which I'm assuming is the batch number. The serial number is **********121.

I was struggling to complete my order online so I opted to request for a call. In less than a minute I received a call from Thando Selekane. He's an asset to Rain and they should give him a promotion. His service was above par and even though it took a very long time to get the order done he was very patient and remained calm despite me getting frustrated (I'm a very impatient person and my internet connection was really bad so I couldn't get the payment done as quick as I would've liked). Not only did he give me a good deal but he also explained every detail and could answer any question I had. I had a very good experience with this agent - his service is definitely worth a 5 star rating.
I've had mixed experiences at McDonald's Matsamo Mall in Schoemansdal. It opened recently so some of the staff is still getting the hang of the McDonald's culture, hence me having some unpleasant experiences on some occasions. I do need to commend the manage though Mr. Desmond Mhlanga - his service is not only professional but also oozes passion. He is an asset to McDonald's and is always willing to assist in any way possible.
I loaded funds into my Hollywood Bets account and they didn't get loaded. I sent emails with no response.. Only an automated email came back with this reference number for my ticket (6924686). It's been over 24 hours and no word from Hollywood Bets. Funds have not been loaded either. Is there something that Hollywood Bets isn't telling us? It seems like these missing funds are become more and more common by the day. It's really frustrating and I'd hate to have to find an alternative as I am now used to this site. It would be great if someone were to help with this. I honestly don't know why it's taken them so long to solve this issue.
I just got out of ABSA Schoemansdal Branch (Matsamo Plaza, Nkomazi) and I witnessed the worst service in my entire experience with banks. First we (clients) were queued inside the bank with no one to guide us on which queue to join. We just had to figure it out. There was only one consultant (at the area where they open accounts) and she was as unprofessional as the word gets. She would call people she knows at the back of the line and check things for them while other clients were still being attended. There was a time where she let someone at the back (someone she knew) and the person that was next in line had to wait "because this personal just needed a small thing to be sorted".. What I found to be totally unacceptable was when she called a friend of hers and he just stood there and started chatting with her while she was attending to clients. He would often lower his mask; leaving his mouth and nose exposed. There was no privacy whatsoever, she actually attended to 2 clients while this man was there and they were just chatting.. It seemed ok. Luckily the guy moved when it was now my turn and when I got there I told her that I'd like to open an estate account and she was shocked.. her exact words where "Estate account sesi? On a Saturday?".. She proceeded to tell me how long it takes and that I should come early because it takes time.. For me it's less of the time that it takes and more of her reaction.. She seemed quite bothered. Then she tried covering up by "mistaking" me for a customer that was "there a few days ago" and apparently things were explained to me. I was quite bothered especially since I kept telling her that it's not me and then it was followed by questions of where it was my first time there or not.. I concluded the conversation by telling her that it's not me and that I do many things at the bank. ABSA bank has always given me good service, especially the Malelane branch which is why I chose to open the estate account with ABSA but after this; I'm left with quite a distaste. Very unprofessional. She said her name was Nomcebo.
Hollywood Bets is the worst when it comes to customer care. I made a deposit (via EFT - which often reflects instantly) over 24 hours ago. The funds haven't been credited. I've sent 4 emails with no response. I've called their customer service line and have been kept on hold for over half an hour on 3 calls.. still no response. I've tried their messenger on Facebook and it's useless. I've commented on their posts on Facebook but they simply ignore them and respond to other comments and keep posting more posts. Many people are complaining and they don't seem to care. IT IS TERRIBLE!! THEY DON'T CARE!! It's like they are waiting for me to finally give up and that won't happen.
I went to Spur Malelane with my 2 year old and other family members.. The environment is child friendly, I had to carry my screaming toddler out of the restaurant. Staff was professional.. Food was well prepared and it arrived quick despite the restaurant being occupied by many clients. There was a lady that experienced a problem with her car doors and the staff helped her.. it was quite a thoughtful thing to do especially considering that she was with a young child. What stood out the most for me was that I forgot my rings in the bathroom and realized hours after I left the restaurant... When I returned to look for them; the staff had kept them safe for me and I got my valuables back in perfect condition. I am happy. Their milkshakes have also improved.. That makes me very happy! Well done.
I had funds that were deducted from my account and all that was written was adjustment.. made my way to the Malelane Bank branch where Uhamba Shongwe assisted me in the most swift and professional manner. All issues were resolved and I am a well serviced and happy client. Thank you Capitec Keep up the good work.
