I'm getting really tired of ****py appliances that come with a lot of promises, a good name, and ultimately a product that falls apart. Bennet Read seems to have joined this club. Bought a pricey electric blanket for a family member with muscle issues (the warmth helps) but the blanket broke after 12 days of use. This is unacceptable. My advice is to take your money and buy traditional blankets instead--at least they don't break.
I get up to 8 or 9 cold calls from their sales team every day. Even after I emailed them, and I was promised that they would stop calling, it never did. It's pure harassment. Homechoice can thank their sales team for losing this customer. Think before you give these people your personal details.
Absolutely traumatic experience. My elderly father arrived as an emergency patient (he'd been hit by a car and had severe wounds to his head and leg). They left us sitting there for hours. They could clearly see my father was in great pain and he bled the whole time but they didn't give him priority or even pain medication. My heart broke to see how little he meant to the staff who was so unorganized it was shocking. They wouldn't take one patient and complete their treatment. Instead, they call you in, do something small, and then tell you to wait in the waiting area again. Over and over. We were there for 8 hours and eventually decided to leave after midnight because they clearly didn't care (He's now under the care of a good private doctor). I also saw other patients who cried because they were so tired, and felt so ill and they were left untreated. There was even a mother with a small daughter who was crying because she and her child were hungry. This is an absolute disgrace to treat people this way. I was truly heartbroken to see the lack of sympathy, organization, and even basic human decency from the staff towards those who felt so sick and injured.
I read many negative reviews from those who tried to close their ShareBuilder account and when I decided to close mine, I dreaded suffering the same problems. The main issue others had was extreme difficulty to get anyone to help them and to close the account was apparently nigh impossible. But when I emailed the shares department, they responded the next day and within four days, they closed the account for me online. I never needed to even leave the house. The entire process was seamless and painless. Well done to the staff at FNB's shares division. :)
My delivery accidentally went to the wrong address (my house is very difficult to find, so it's not wholly TAL's fault). The experience was very stressful because I thought a delivery that cost R3000+ was gone. But TAL's help team and the delivery guys really went the extra mile to retrieve my packages (from a hostile homeowner no less) and bring it back to me. I take my hat off to the help team for dealing with my outburst, which I really regret, and the delivery team who faced a potentially violent encounter to do their job. I'm truly thankful. Wish I could give you guys more stars.
I've bought several bags of potatoes on different occasions. On the outside, the potatoes are marked as class 1. This points to a good quality potato. But for the last few bags I've bought - at an expensive price - the potatoes were always subpar. Some were rotten, others were "moer" potatoes that barely soften no matter how much you boil them. But the worst I've found in several bags now is that nearly all the potatoes have black cores. This is disgusting considering the price and the supposed class 1. Clearly the class 1 grading is a sales gimmick. Very disappointed.
