I thought with the reply of Absa that our complain was resolved, but actually it did only get worse. It all started when our application for the extension of our daughter's current study loan was not submitted in time by an Absa Official. This escalated so much leaving us with financial difficulties. After contacting Absa, asking for help and assistance, agreeing with Absa how we are going to settle the study loan. We were still contacted by Absa Consultants to pay the full installment, We cannot at this stage afford the total installment and still month for month money was taken out the Absa account by Absa, without any arrangements. This money was meant for example groceries or school fees etc. Leaving us with a lot of financial stress. We are unhappy to receive such treatment from Absa.

After complaining about Absa's poor service about a study loan, Absa contacted us and start to rectify the problem.This is a good sign !!
I waited at least a week before my parcel was shipped. Fair enough, but when I start tracking the parcel the nightmare started. The parcel was scheduled to be delivered the 18th of June 2021, but already on the 14th I noticed that there was a delivery problem from the Courier side. E - mails were sent to Takealot and we call on a daily basis from the 14th till the 21st of June to find out what is going on with the delivery of the parcel. We needed the parcel at least on the 21st of June, because it was a tent that my daughter needed for a camp that started on the 22nd of June. Each time we contacted Takealot, we emphasized the necessity that the tent needs to be delivered before the 22nd of June 2021 - The original delivery was scheduled for the 18th of June 2021 .Each time when we contacted Takealot, it was said that they will follow up on the parcel and come back to us. E -mails were received from Takealot saying that the parcel will be delivered by the 18th of June 2021.The 18th of June came and there was no delivery of the parcel. In the meantime there was no update on Takealot's webpage regarding the whereabouts of the parcel. The last update was the 14th of June saying "rescheduling of delivery" Eventually my daughter went on the camp without the tent and the tent arrived on the 23rd of June. I want to add this as well, the last few days there was only a e mail from Takealot, stating they will come back to us, but that was that !!! No feedback on the whereabouts of the parcel. There was in the past a lot of complains about this specific Courier that Takealot use and with our luck it WAS THE SAME ONE. Takealot please listen to your Customers, you are going to loose a lot of clients, by using Couriers that cannot comply.
I have currently a study loan with Absa and need to renew it yearly. I went to Clanwilliam Branch in January 2021 to do the paperwork. Until now I am waiting for an answer. I made several calls to the Branch and also visit he branch. Each time I was told that they are still busy with the renewal. In the mean time I have to pay a full loan amount which is 3 times more than I would have paid. Absa Head Office is phoning me and tells me I had to sort it out with the Branch Manager. I am making the follow ups, no feedback from Absa. Now when I phoned the Branch in Clanwilliam, I was told that the Manger is busy or in a meeting and he will phone me back. But he is not phoning me at all. Absa your service is pathetic, after all this years, is this the service I am getting. Shame on you !!!!
