If I could give no stars I would do that, because Revibe does not deserve any stars at all. Please people, stay away from this company, because they mislead you and they are ******. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Revibe. In hindsight, I should have paid closer attention to the many negative reviews before making my purchase — that was my mistake. However, the way this company operates feels deliberately misleading, and I now understand I’m not the only customer who feels ****med. I intend to share my experience publicly so others are aware and can avoid the same situation. They send you faulty devices and then expect you to pay for it to get fixed. They are charging me R1500 to get the iPhone fixed while still under warranty, or I must pay R1500 still to get the broken device shipped back to me. I am prepared to cut my losses. To all South Africans, if you need to buy a refurbished iPhone, rather buy from The Apple Guy. They are reliable and have offices in Cape Town, Durban and JHB, plus you can pick up your device same day if they have stock. I bought 3 iPhones from The Apple Guy over a year ago and not experiences any issues to this day with the devices. However, I thought, let me try Revibe for the 4th Apple device - biggest mistake I've made this year. It's unfortunate that businesses like this continue to operate this way, but I will do everything I can to ensure potential customers are fully informed.
On Friday evening, we stopped at Burger King in Lansdowne to order 6 meals. Our order was placed at 21:05. About 20 minutes later, I noticed a big order being packed and still told my husband that I think that's our order. My order number was #148, so of course I am now waiting for my number to be called, and it wasn't. I initially thought it's probably someone else's order, and just continued to wait. Eventually I noticed that nobody is doing anything about the 3 bags of food that is still standing from earlier. I also noticed people who came long after me, but left before me with their food in hand. That's when I decided to go up to the cashiers and ask about my order. I gave the gentleman my receipt and he took it to another lady, who peeked in the bags of food and said something to the gentleman. This gentleman then picked up the same food that was standing there for maybe 20-25 minutes, and he gives it to me. He didn't say a word, but I realized later that his English was not good at all. I refused to take it, because it's gone cold and I tell him this. He just turns around and not a word out of his mouth. I then asked to see the manager, who comes to me and I tell him what happened. He goes and speaks to this gentleman and the lady at the back. He comes back and tells me that they called my number and no one came for the food. I was absolutely livid, because that is a blatant lie. I was hungry so I kept keeping an eye and not once was my number called. Even if they did call my number, do they just not bother calling it again after 2 minutes or so for a 2nd or 3rd time?? I actually told the manager that there are video cameras and if he can show me that my number was called, then I will humbly apologize for making a scene, but it won't be on the video cameras, because it never happened. No one tells me what is happening, I am asking what's happening as this guy just took the food without saying anything. They made fresh food, so that it can be hot, which I appreciated, but the service is pathetic. There is no proper communication, no strong management, no accountability. I would have expected the manager to apologize, but he did not. The lady who brought the fresh food to me - she apologized and I could see she was being very sincere, so I appreciate that, but I do not appreciate the disrespect shown. Burger King Lansdowne needs new management PLEASE. Mind you, while this was happening, there were 2 other people complaining about the bad service as well.
I would like to recommend Cubana in Green Point for their outstanding service. On 5 March 2022, we booked a table at another place in V&A (won't mention the name here), but the service was so bad. They seated us at different reserved tables, only to tell us that they will get our table ready. My sister was so frustrated, she wanted to leave and because she was the birthday girl, we left that place. My sister said she wants to go to Cubana in Green Point. We got to Cubana and we didn't make a booking. The very nice hostess at the front door advised that they are fully booked later in the evening, but it was just before 6pm. We told her about our bad experience at the other place where we actually had a booking, and she felt so bad for us and said how dare they do that to us on my sister's birthday. She invited us in and seated us at a table, where we enjoyed the rest of our evening with good food, company and drinks. THANK YOU SO MUCH. you have no idea how special that made my sister feel after coming from such bad service :-)
My sister had her birthday on 5 March 2022, and as 3 sisters we decided to celebrate at Grand Africa Cafe. My sister Lauren, made the booking and we were all set. As it got closer to the day, we all got so excited, not only for my sister's birthday, but because another friend of ours recommended Grand Africa Cafe, as she had a blast when she was there. Our booking was for 16:30 and we arrived at the entrance around 16:40, due to the fact that we were looking for parking. The policy says that if you are not seated within 30 minutes of your booking that you forfeit your booking. When we arrived, our table wasn't even ready and we were told to wait, so we did. A few minutes later, a female employee showed us to what we thought was our table, so we sat down. A male employee came up to us and we thought that he was there to take our drinks order, but he told us that we are sitting at someone else's reserved table. We explained that we didn't know, as we were seated here by his colleague. He showed us to another table, which also had a reservation sign, and we asked if he is sure, he said yes. Then another female employee came to us to tell us that we are sitting at someone else's reserved table and those table cost R400 per table to book. Of course being at Grand Cafe for the first time, we were taken aback at that comment, but asked her to please show us to the table that is ours. She told us to stay there and that she will go and get the table ready and come get us. A few minutes went by, she never came back. Another male employee came up to us to ask us to move as the customers who booked that table, arrived. We were embarrassed to say the least as we have now been told to move twice. We explained to him that the other lady was getting our table ready. At that point my sister, who's birthday it was said that she wants to go somewhere else, as she was very irritated. We said no, we booked, we came to have a good time and that is what we will do. We got up and waited at the bar area, thinking we'll see the lady who said that she will get our table ready. We never saw her and wanted to speak to a manager, but we really didn't want the drama and so we left. I won't say that I will never go back, because I loved the vibe, so I probably will, but it won't be anytime soon. A friend of mine wants to have her Bachelorette party there and asked me to let her know how it is as she has heard good things. I gave her my honest opinion, but also told her that it doesn't mean her experience will be bad as well, especially considering it will be her Bachelorette. I have never in my life experienced such bad service. Everything seemed so unorganized and just utter chaos. We were hungry and just wanted to have a good time with our sister on her birthday. Thankfully we did, somewhere else.
I was handed over from African Bank for an old loan in 2007. Hence is is now 2021. In 2010, I paid monthly installments via a garnishee order that I agreed to as I knew it will at least be paid before I get my salary and due to all my debt I had at the time. In 2014, I increased my monthly installments by direct debit order as I had made this arrangement with Jansen & Jansen Attorneys (whom African Bank handed me over to). So they stopped the garnishee order. I paid this account finished. African bank advised me that they did not receive any funds from any company I was handed over to. Then they told me to send my proof to their query department called Titanic Queries. I have all my proof which I had shared with Titanic Queries to titanicqueries@africanbank.co.za. I was told to do this after I had called African Bank on numerous occasions to try and resolve the issue. Still African Bank wouldn't remove me from ITC and still to this day I am listed for this loan on ITC. How is it that you hand me over and I pay it finished, yet Jansen & Jansen Attorneys didn't list me on ITC, it was African Bank. I have spoken and sent communication to Titanic Queries email with zandile.mabanga@africanbank.co.za in copy. I have spoken to and copied SNgobese1@africanbank.co.za as well, but still. I have gone via the Ombudsman, who advised me that I should make direct contact with African Bank to remove me, as they have queried it on my behalf, but still apparently I owe this money. Every time, I try and resolve it by calling or making contact since 2020, I have to explain the same story over and over to different people. They have stopped calling me to collect this money, but African Bank have not bothered to remove me from ITC.
