I would highly discourage anyone from using Makro Cape Gate’s delivery service. After spending R15,000 on a fridge, the experience was a disaster from start to finish. Impossible to Contact: My husband called numerous times throughout the day, and it just rang without answer. He even contacted the national Makro call center; they tried to escalate the issue and call the store themselves, but even THEY could not get through to the Cape Gate branch. Blatant Dishonesty: At 11:00 AM, I was told the fridge was "picked up." When I finally got through at 16:43, the staff member admitted the driver was only just arriving at the store to actually collect it. They **** to me for over 5 hours. Total Incompetence: While I was holding the line, the staff member tried to call the driver but called my husband (the customer) by mistake, thinking HE was the driver! He actually asked my husband where he was, saying he had "Mrs. Erasmus on the line." They don't even know who their own staff or customers are. Shocking Service & Equipment: They finally arrived at 18:30 (for a delivery 4.4km away) in a tiny bakkie with a broken trolley. The driver had a terrible attitude, telling us that bringing the fridge into the house was "not part of his job description" and he was "doing us a favour" by not leaving it on the pavement. For a R15k purchase, this was a 0-star experience. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere!!
Im being called on a daily basis, every day i would instruct the call center to remove me from their system, and every time i am told they have no system. Which is alarming, why would i then make use of your services. I have now on a previous occasion requested my number to be blocked, and yet again i get calls. The call center refuse to put you in contact with someone senior to handle these requests. This need to stop

Unfortunately I have to give you a 1 star, I'd prefer none. My delivery 19388473 never arrived. It was marked as delivered and I never received it. Customer service tell me they can't see a driver assigned, then they tell me the driver did deliver. To get anything from them is impossible. The call centre person want to just end the call to attend to attend to other calls. I'd consider this as *****!! Stick to the Chechers app, the customer service is on point!!
Sadly i have to give them a 1 star, i would rather give them a zero star if that was possible. With every order i place, i have an issue. There is always missing items. Today i am told that they only credit you for the missing items to re-order them, they do not have to credit you for the delivery fee, because apparently you need to read the t's & c's that if you don't receive whatever you ordered, it will cost you extra delivery cost which is automatically added to the cart for delivery for their fault of not delivering everything you ordered. Absolutely ridiculous. So, if you get what you ordered you are lucky, if you don't, then sorry, re-order again. What a joke!! Im done with Mr. D.
I have an international shipment, order collected 11/09/2021, 20/09/2021 Monday i called TNT to follow up and am told the shipment is in Dubai, should arrive today, 22/09/2021, today i call and im told the shipment never left the origin, it is still where it was when they collected it,. I pay an express fee, 5-7 days, 11 days later and goods are still at the ORIGIN???? What is going on with TNT, their service use to be so good, now they are up to no good. Sad thing is i still don't know when i will receive my shipment...... I sent e-mails with 9+ people in copy, nobody even does any effort to reply.
I ordered office chairs and desks from Takealot. I received all 3 desks with damaged rorners and my chair that I received wasn't complete, it had missing parts. I immediately called to log this on the 9th of September. Today is the 14th of September, still no feedback.... Sure as hell will never order furniture from takealot ever again.
Impossible to get a hold of someone. I phone 100s of times mostly the line just die after ringing for long. I have a shipment in customs every day I'm told someone will call you but never a single call. Tnt is impossible to call
