SA Homeloans Incompetence (Useless) SA Homeloans Insure is not worth the money one spends on them; to put it mildly they have given me the worst service l have ever received from all services providers that I have ever dealt with. This is both in my private and professional capacity. Their first contractor whom they appointed to fixed my burst gyser did a poor job while replacing it, the pipe connections leaked and damaged my ceiling. They then appointed another contractor to come and fix that mess and ended up creating their own ***** up... Which was disconnecting my cctv system and leaving the system's wiring on the floor because " they didn't know how to fix it, because it is not their area of expertise". Now I am sitting with a cctv system that is not serviceable ( more that 4 months with wires still sitting on the floor, cos I refuse to pick them up... They must come pick them up and fix the system they broke), and their consultants who are never available to take your call, and when they do pick up your call, you just get incompetence and excuses how they are awaiting responses on your quiry from them about fixing your cctv system. Its best to rather just stay as far away from them as possible and find yourself another insurance company like i am currently doing. Useless and incompetence personified.

Best to find another building insurance than having to go through the drama of paying for many years and when you have a valid claim, every excuse in the book is thrown at you, along with very poor service providers who have shoddy workmanship they don't want to take accountability for when they cause damage to your property. Best to find another insurer who is serious about their business instead of playing mind games.

After settling the outstanding balance on my personal loan, requested closure of the account. The failed to saend me the closure letter but continued to make deductions of so called "interests on a ZERO balance"... (What the consultants could not explain)... I've now been sent from pillar to post (inbetween their internal departments) for the reversal of the money that was deducted from my personnal account... Their excuse of not being able to reverse the amount deducted is that the loan account has been closed.... Very shoddy and underhanded accounting practices... For an institution that large, its quite shocking and pathetic.
Submitted a claim in which I requested them to assist get my money back from a service provider who I paid to do some work for me. The work was never done; money kept by the service provider.... Clientele refuses to assist me get my money back, cos the claim has apparently the claim does not have "prospects of success"..... and no-ne is prepared to explain what that means when I asked for explanation, and no-one is available.... for the last 2 months of trying to get information, cos they are "in meetings all this time and not available"..... My advise to anyone who want to join them.... first check the Competitors' and see the difference in Service Rating; I'm sure you'll make a much more informed decision.... instead of dealing with drama, lack of service and incompetence....
I've had a funeral policy for my parents with Standard Bank for more than 10 years. On the recent passing of my mother, I tried submitting a claim with all the required documents, I had to see to her funeral without their assistance, let alone paying out for funeral costs. I would not recommend their services to anyone. Even now considering changing banks, even though I've been with them for more than 25 years. Definitely not a good service provider.
Worst Overall Experience I've Ever in all forms of businesses I've been interacting with. No customer service to talk off..... No systems referred to by their help desk actually work... App that I was instructed to load more than 2 weeks ago is still "LOADING MY PROFILE... WHICH SHOULD TAKE 3 DAYS" still not working. Requested for follow up calls 6 times over the last 2 weeks.... to this day I'm still waiting..... I'm actually surprised that they have clients at all
