Good day I'm regrettably posting this review specifically about SPAR in SouthGate Mall, Pietermaritzburg, my Dad who is a pensioner at 68 years old this year decided to visit this branch to check specials and do a little monthly purchases. DEFINITELY THE WORST DECISION OF THE DAY!!! When my dad enters the store he tries to locate a pamphlet with no luck, so unfortunately he had to interrupt two employees chatting up a storm to ask for one, my dad is then asked to wait aside as she checks for any available pamphlets, as he waits he is approached by Security who asks and I quote "What is he doing there" WOW, now my father has to explain why he's waiting aside, so he did, and he asked the Security why was he approached and his response "My Boss asked me to check" it's not soo much the words used but more the approach. Ten minutes later the pamphlet employee appears and hands my dad the specials. My dad then proceeds to do his shopping despite the security and his boss making feel like a shoplifter, when he gets to the till he noticed he is being overcharged for an item that is on special, so he informs the cashier who just by the way didn't even greet my dad, she then asked another employee to confirm this, the employee returns and this is confirmed, my dad then proceeds to carry his purchase back to the car park, he then notices that although the item was confirmed to be on special he was still overcharged, he then goes back to the store and attempts to speak to a manager(Indian Lady), she has no care in the world and is disgustingly RUDE!!!, informs my dad the special is on another item not the one he purchased, my dad then walks back in to the store(thinking now, is he seeing things) to find out the item he purchased was in fact on special, so he removes display of the special and returns to get some assistance, he now speaks to another manager(White Guy) who is even more rude than the first one, still insisting my dad is wrong, with the proof in my dad's hand, absolutely pathetic, ever heard the saying "Our Elders Should be Cherished" I mean since I was young it was known that you are always treated so well in a SPAR, ANYWHERE, and I mean ANYWHERE, and to now here this coming from my dad who has been a customer for who knows how long, I don't want anything from this, or my dad for that matter, but it would be nice if someone at least calls him to apologize, at least. I never thought I'd ever be writing a review like this about SPAR, I just hope that this is not what life has become for our elderly.
This should come as a warning for all new tenants, RUN, I MEAN RUN FAR AND FAST, this is a place that will be your best friend when you looking for accomadation, but once you are in, you just become a unit number, ''Fish baited, now it is time for the gutting to commence''. Let's start with the hot water, they say you will have hot water at all times but over the year+ spent I most probably only had hot water for about 10 months, and was never compensated for anything, the water bill just kept rising and I had to just keep paying. When I moved in one of the window handles was broken and the inside handle of the toilet door as well, this was promised to be repaired, I have now moved out and still nothing was done. There are rats continuously running though the corridors and under your apartment doors, destroying everything they see, not to mention the sound of a crying baby 24/7, and this is a promise, 24/7, and the kids, oh no no no. There is alot more to mention, but I really don't want to waste too much time on a company that firstly will never get back to me, and secoundly they already deducted R2000 from my deposit because their dumb staff did not provide me with the proper documents to safely leave the premises in time. Heads up to you *****s who steel innocent people's money, there is a force especially for you, ask your Indian staff, because it is coming for you.
I am visiting my parents and find out from my dad while grabbing an ice-cream, that Magnum have not gotten back to him in three years, I was dumbfounded and asked howcome, he said he had purchased a six pack of Magnum Mini's as he always does and found that a box contained only five, he then called Magnum and was assured it will be investigated, since not hearing back for a month he decided to follow up, and was told it has been escalated, and from that time have not heard back from anyone. I find this to be very shocking and pethetic customer support, I mean he still purchases ice-cream regurarly and I think he should at least be contacted and compensated. Although I know we will not get a response, I will share his details his contact number is 065 876 4506 and his name is Ivan.
I don't even think you guys deserve the one star rating, no stars, I'm not sure how much is being paid towards Google for this excuse of a business to show up first, however I hoped to have a pleasant experience. Little did I know, the bus did not show up, after me arriving 45 minutes early, I was brought up to be punctual and am almost never late. I only get to find this out when the next bus arrives, and this was said by the extremely rude and ****** driver. He was going to the same destination, had to pick up two passengers but because only one showed up, he left. Oh I forgot to mention, he offered to leave me in the middle of nowhere for what reason I really don't know. I would advise to never ever use these people for anything, rather go directly to the bus website and book. Their app and their support is completely useless, they have all my details but I know I will never be contacted. Crux of this is that I was of course now stranded and had to purchase another ticket for and even higher price since it had to be booked with urgency.
The most useless service ever received, for a person that's in customer service satisfaction this just appauls me, I've ordered Chicken licken twice and have not received what was specified in the order, the app tracking and global positioning does not work at all, I just ordered Chicken Licken yet again and uptil now have not received my order, my order was placed at 19:30,theres so much more to say but I won't waste mine and your time, rather just uninstall the app and move on.
This is another company that has absolutely no idea how to help their customers when they have an issue with their product, I've bought the clover 1 litre from Pick n Pay and three times in a row the milk goes off days before the expiration date, when I try to contact customer service I get asked to send pics to a whatsapp number then I it's all forgotten, their service stinks just like their milk.
This review is for the Pick n Pay ASAP delivery app, there is absolutely no support for their clients, I purchased a headset in October 2020 and it's not compatible with any device that I currently have, I have tried my level best from the day of purchase till today to return this item and have had no luck at all, I keep getting emails stating my ticket is with someone then a couple days later the ticket is resolved. This has been going on and on for so long that I have now lost hope and will highly recommend you do not use this APP, further to this over the year I have used this app I have never ever been contacted for any queries logged, I am still waiting for refunds that re due to me and every time I order there is something in my basket that is out of stock, why advertise when there isn't any stock WHY?? This review might be another waste of my time since I know I still never be contacted but it did help me release a little frustration. Nolan Naidoo 0747770678
