I just want to applaud ORMS DIRECT for how promptly they engage their customers and act with speed to resolve any queries. I bought a camera online and had concerns about my shipment, when I emailed them, I was quickly responded to by Jason and Sabia and the issue was resolved within the same day! Amazing service!
An unpleasant experience buying from ORMS DIRECT for the first time. I bought a camera that included a free camera cage as part of a sale they are running, only to be informed that they do not have the camera cage in stock. When I offered the solution to purchase another camera cage from them so that they can ship everything I bought all at once, I was ignored. I regret buying from ORMS, it was my first and last time. Recommend that you call and ask about stock availability before purchasing online from ORMS even if the item is listed as “in stock” on their website because it may not be true unfortunately.
Amazing service from MiWay, wow! It has become so rare to see assistance come quickly without suspicion or a million questions from an insurer. I submitted a claim for my damaged windscreen on Monday just before EOD, it is 8am Friday, same week, and my windscreen is repaired! MiWay approved my claim immediately, submitted on their world-class app. I am just so happy! Thank you so much!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The Financial Office at UJ is not just *********** but what they are doing is downright ********. I considered studying at UJ in 2022 (this is TWO years ago) and deregistered in February 2022. I was contacted THIS year by the Financial Officer at UJ (Julia Cindi) saying I have an overdue account with the university and it has been handed over to collections attorneys. How can you have an owing account and not be informed for a whole two years and then be contacted suddenly with the very serious step that your account has been handed over…it is *********. Please, management at UJ look into your financial office. The people there do not read emails properly or respond comprehensively, they only want you to listen to what they say and do not reason like adults. I curse the day I ever crossed paths with this university and I DIDN’T even study there…just for registering and then deregistering immediately online, I am flung with debt. I will not let this university ***** my money, not in this or any other economy for that matter, I will fight to the end. They have failed to collect overdue debt from people who actually owe them and now they are trying to find scapegoats. I urge everyone else to fight their injustices and make use of whatever platforms you can speak out on to get help, even the UJ Ethics Hotline.

They assembled the bed with such patience and explained how to put the bed together so that I can also do it myself should I move. All while being polite and friendly! I receive the SIM card but it never connected to the internet. When I would call the Rain support people, they would tell me to hang up and try again and then say they will call again in 10 minutes but never do. I lost so much airtime calling and enquiring. It was so easy for them to sign me up and take my money but when I needed help with connecting no one would stay on the phone more than 1 minute to help me. I don’t know whether the support team is clueless about network setting a or if Rain just doesn’t have any connectivity at all, either or, complete incompetence and I am so regretful I didn’t read the reviews before. Rain is wrong period! This is not right- they are a scam.
From January to June 2021 I rented a garden cottage through Vered Estates and my agent was Catherine Brookstone. This agent did not behave as an agent but rather as a mouthpiece for the landlord. Upon moving out of the cottage, the landlord set a date for her, the agent and myself to have a “moving out inspection” on a particular day. I started moving my things a few days before this inspection date (as most people do) and when it was almost empty, two days before the inspection day, I no longer slept there. The first night I didn’t sleep in the cottage the landlord went into the cottage (it’s downstairs from her house) and “inspected” it without me. It was NOT on the day we had agreed, I was not yet fully moved out. Next thing I knew, the agent was calling me and telling me that the landlord had found stains on the walls and the cottage was “filthy” and I would forfeit a portion of my deposit. When I returned to the cottage I found wall stains I had NEVER seen before, suddenly the bedroom wall was scratched and dirty. The landlord refused to ever have a real inspection with me and the agent present. I ended up leaving the cottage without the landlord having ever spoken to me in person about the “damages” in the cottage, when I knocked at her door she refused to open the door and said she had Covid. However when I returned there the next day to meet the agent and return the key, the landlord had come out and spoken to the agent, suddenly Covid free in a matter of hours! Throughout those 3 days of my moving out, the agent would say openly to me that she knew the landlord was wrong but she did nothing about it! She did not exercise her duty as an agent to arrange a proper inspection and mediate between myself as tenant and the landlord. Catherine Brookstone was borderline scared of the landlord and it was like I was dealing with the landlord alone, unable to hold her accountable even though the agent (Catherine) supposedly agreed with me that this landlord was wrong. I don’t want to make this a racial thing but the landlord was a white woman and Catherine is white as well and in the end it felt a little bit like the two had a better understanding and were determined to just get rid of me without my deposit. In the end I only received R3400 instead of my R4500 deposit and I received no statement with the breakdown of costs for the “repairs” that had been made to the cottage that cost me that portion of my deposit! I would recommend anyone think twice before getting into an agreement with this “agent.”
