Shocking Costs for 15 minutes of work!!!
Wow, I wish I'd read the reviews before asking this company to do work.... He "quotes" you R690 ex vat for an 'assessment', which to me sounds reasonable and I understood it as the job of putting the camera down a 5 meter hole to assess the damage. Oh but be warned...that is a lie. The actual quote they jump on you is nearly R3,5k for a 15 minute camera inspection. Definitely will not be using these guys ever again. They are not honorable, just out to fleece you. STAY AWAY!! BE WARNED.....

*********** an 'unsuspecting' woman to replace brake discs and pads. They quoted 10k. In this economy that was astronomical. I went for a second opinion and was quoted R1.5k only for the brake pads, as the discs are still in good condition. What a rip-off with such disgusting behaviour! Firstly, lying about discs needing replacement, at such a cost? And secondly, I would be disgusted at being associated with this company in any way whatsoever.

Lack of hygiene at Netcare Hospital
My sister is in ICU at Milpark. However, I question their commitment to hygiene, as I have a picture of a ****roach walking in the ICU. Obviously keeping things clean is not as important as sitting on one's phone 🙄

Nutella has eggs in the entire 350gr jar - yeck!!!
I had the most disgusting experience with a 350gr jar of Nutella. as I opened it - I saw it was full of little eggs. Yech!!! I sent a message to Ferrero but they obviously not interested in the fact that they are sending out products that have been 'unhygienically' produced. Please be very careful of the Nutella you buy nowadays - they are producing so much they are letting the hygiene slip... It was mega-gross!!!

Stolen goods or Money by Pick n Pay ASAP app
I bought my groceries online via Pick n Pay ASAP and I ordered the special for the Husky four tins for R105. I ordered 2x the special. I only received the special once, i.e. four tins not eight. But I did get charged for 8 tins, It is amazing how they can adjust the amount paid for the chicken pieces one buys because the price is an estimate, but they either employ people who steal the R105 or they keep it themselves - I have not worked that out yet. But to anyone wanting to use the ASAP app - run! Use the Checkers 60/60 app. They are much better and deliver faster and I have never had an issue with them. I have reported it to them, I have reported it on their survey but no response. Pick n pay does not care - they too huge to give a flying about their customers - not supporting them anymore.

Thrifty debits your CC without your permission!!! Be Careful!!!!
I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with Thrifty. Every year we hire a bakkie from them to take to the Kruger for a good ten days or more and they gave us a dud the last year we could go (2019), that when you turned it sounded like the chassis was falling out. I told them when I returned it and they said I should have told them, they would have sent me another one. This last year (2021) we again used them and were given a merc with a dodgy back 'window' that the guy said did not always lock properly - but with a good 'slam' would close. Once we were in the park for a good week, the back window started to give us trouble. It would either be locked fast without us being able to open it - except with a real struggle or it would not close and we were worried our luggage was at risk. We then made the decision to phone and ask for a replacement because their vehicle was faulty - of which I was warned about to begin with. I was given another bakkie - no problem, except they decided to give me one with a 3/4 tank and then billed me for filling up the one they took from me - the faulty merc. I know their policy is to fill up and bill the hiree for the petrol but their car was faulty by their own admission and I am paying at every corner - they are not taking responsibility for anything. I contacted them to query this bill - and the ticket was closed two months later with no response from them. Then I asked them why and they reopened it and claimed that the Merc was in perfect working order. I am obviously not an idiot, not is my son - so please do not describe me as one - as why would I want a new bakkie in the middle of my holiday if there was nothing wrong with it to begin with... I am just warning all the people out there about this company - no wonder they are thrifty - they steal and debit money off your account for no reason - and so can be the cheapest in town - what a rip off you really are. Please be careful when dealing with them. They are untrustworthy and could not care less about their regular customer - who spend their hard earned money there and then thy just take more. Do not trust them with your credit card details!!!!!!!
