Yesterday I went to the Chateau Gateaux at Thrupps in Illovo. It is my daughter's 20th birthday and we have the app so we were browsing for birthday cakes. The shop attendant, Thandeka, was extremely rude and told us we were not permitted to open the fridge to look at cakes. She was clearly discriminating against me based on my appearance. I have been a supporter of Chateau Gateaux for many years but the way we were treated was ****** and in transgression of our basic human rights. I had to insist several times to speak to the manager. Thandeka proceeded to loudly admonish me in a language that I only sp****ly understand which is extremely discriminatory. The manager would not disclose Thandeka's name and surname. I had to request this information repeatedly before a name was reluctantly given. I will be pursuing this matter. I thought we were moving forward as a country and racial and social ************** was not tolerated. Clearly Chateau Gateaux does not share this sentiment.

Earlier today my daughter bought a R350 item from Cotton On in Cresta. She was unhappy with the item and decided to return it later in the day. The manager was condescending and intimidating, laughing at my daughter stating that one can only 'be refunded in the way you paid' and that a cash refund was not an option. My daughter's Standard Bank card would not accept a card refund. The manager who has red hair and a Nemo tattoo then told my daughter to go to the bank and ask them why she could not be refunded or take a voucher. We regularly buy from Cotton On having spent thousand of rands there. We will no longer be supporting this business where its managers see fit to humiliate customers. The name of the person who 'assisted' my daughter is Maxine. I intend to take this matter further as bullying customers is unacceptable.

I am utterly disappointed with the poor customer service provided by Takealot. I ordered a washing machine for next day delivery but was not home at 11.15 as the tracking indicated that my delivery would take place before 5pm. I requested a time slot for 15.00pm and was assured that my order would be delivered by the consultant Silakhile L. However, I received an sms that I was not available to receive my order despite being on high alert and home waiting until 18.00pm. The response time for my email enquiries was on average two hours. I have been attempting to contact Takealot since 11.20 this morning being given late, generic responses. I suspect that the delivery company tried to deliver to the wrong address or merely decided it wasn't worth their while. The delivery fee and the item ordered were not cheap. The service on the other hand leaves much to be desired. I will be left with no other option but to take my business elsewhere and demand full reimbur*****t. Shame on you Takealot.
I ordered three manga from Loot and received an email stating that one of my orders was not in stock and was back ordered and that I could request a refund. Despite having emailed Loot requesting said refund I have received no response nor acknowledgement from Loot.
I was contacted by Nedbank last year regarding the expiry of my Nedbank card and spoke to a consultant who told me that my new card would be ready for collection within two weeks of our conversation which was in early December. I have not been contacted to collect my card as per the arrangement and it expired on 1 January. I have since emailed the complaints department to no avail. I do not recommend Nedbank to anyone. Their customer service and communication with clients is pathetic.
Afrihost and Vumatel ate equally useless. No wifi going on day 3. Zero ETA. The WhatsApp agents have no clue what is going on. At first I was told it was an Afrihost issue that has been resolved and that my line is faulty. Then I was told it is a Vuma issue and that they are aware of the problem. They are badly trained, patronising anx some of them just plain rude. This is costing me money, but Afrihost is getting theirs as I am paying for nothing. At least they 'apologise for the inconvenience'. Typical! I will be taking my business elsewhere.
This is the third scathing review that I am writing seeing as Finfix does not follow up nor does their customer care team respond to emails. Similarly, phones remain unanswered. The information given to the customer conflicts with statements and threats from creditors. This company does not practise sound business. My next step is the ombudsman. I have had enough with this pathetic service. Yuval has still not given me any feedback despite promising to do just that by the end of last week. It is Tuesday and yet again I am being ignored. No more warnings. I am reporting this company.
Despite emails requesting information regarding Finfix not using the money which they have no issue taking from my account each month, I have received two separate msils from creditors srating that I have defaulted in payment and that my debt review has been terminated. Finfix still has not provided any clarity in this regard. They are a pathetic company who take your money, charge admin fees yet do not provide the service they claim to offer. I have never defaulted in payment yet I am being harrassed by creditors. Avoid Finfix at all cost. They are ********s. I will be reporting them to the ombudsman snd taking further legal action.
