Was a little dubious at first, Auction House doing hi-end spirits, Whisky in particular . . . Minimum price, R1000 which cuts out the regular off the shelf stuff that people try and flog and end up cluttering up the market/website more than anything else. Register, paid a small fee which helps cut out bots and such. Easy to do so, considering it is a brand new venture, duly impressed. Heard a lot about the European/UK auction houses, some in the United States as well, but not in South Africa. About time you could say. Nevertheless, first Auction notice comes out, won bids on a couple of bottles, ditto for the next auction. Payment and delivery was flawless - can do collections as well if in the area. Well, South Africa is finally on the map in terms of having their own online Whisky Auction House. Well done to Ruan and Co.
Been sourcing Pet Food and goods from Pet Hero for several years now. Plus: Respond promptly to queries both online and by telephone, have a wide range of products available and appear to be relatively accurate i.e. if it is or is not in stock. The Autoship system is a big plus, multiple options and scenario's that you can load for deliveries in advance. Have a points system which is great for a toy or such now and then. Minus: Since they do not keep everything in stock themselves, there may be delays in sourcing requested items - very annoying when stocks are low at home. Points expire sooner than expected - try buildup points to buy expensive chew toys - should give it 12 to 18 months. Notification well in advance of a product not in stock before the Autoship is due would be a plus - one of the issues that lead to delays.
As it goes of late, using the R21 on a daily basis, chips are common practice. Been using the nearest center for repairs which is PG Glass Centurion. Had stellar service until Saturday. Had a cracked windscreen during the week, head office directed the claim to Centurion, received the confirmation call and reference number. Booking scheduled for 10am. Part 1 perfect, thank you. Part 2, Cleared out the car, everything taken out - this is South Africa, you just do. Arrive at PG Glass 9.55am Saturday, receptionist stipulated that they are low on staff and cannot help us today, we can come on Tuesday. With a 5.30am to 5.30pm work week at a mine in the middle of nowhere, sure, that will work. Asked the lady to confirm my cellphone number, which she did, 100% correct. So I politely asked, why did we not receive a phone call advising us of the issue at the fitment center. Shoulder shrug, SORRY, was the response. With restraint, promptly turned around and left. After the usual long hard week, Saturday morning blown.
Our 3rd body shop interaction attributed to a minor bumper bashing. Was kept posted at all times by the Body Shop representative (Angelique) through both SMS and WhatsApp relating to any hold-ups (which there were). Bit of a bone to pick with the Insurance company, doing the approval via submitted photographs and not in person - additional parts were required which led to delays. However, thanks to the feedback from Eljoney, was able to chase the insurer on to make the required approvals. Vehicle was received back clean, colours matched very well - very pleased with the outcome.
Not everyone is PERFECT. However, to date, Outsurance is certainly pushing the boundary. 9/10 so far, three claims within a month, bumper bashing, windscreen replacement and a chip repair. No issues at all, all done on their App, prompt call backs, everything on track. Well done! Only reason for not a 10/10, after numerous prompts, when doing a chip repair, they still delegate a service provider and do not have a drop-down option for the User to select - why authorise a service provider who is far away versus one across the road sort of thing. :-/
Telemarketer persuaded me to renew my contract, agreed. Debicheck came through the banking App, APPROVE/REJECT monthly deduction of R20 000 and a maximum deduction of R20 000. What do you think I did? Now the Modem SIM is blocked but they are still deducting off my old debit order. What do you think I should do?
Quick and efficient service regarding a lightening strike claim. Bonus, Sam was super friendly and guided me through the process.
Was super impressed with the prompt call back and problem relaying between Gift and Nichlaas. Knew exactly what the problem was and how to assist me. 👍👌👏
Fantastic bunch up that way. Friendly and professional service from the bar through to the onsite shop and online ordering. Wide variety of whiskies, gin and others for those interested in alternative spirits. Online orders are a breeze, products arrive well packed and no breakages to date (many orders down the line).
