I’ve been waiting for my package that costs over R13 000 for 3 weeks now. I’m starting to think they stole it. They claim delivery failed a week ago, but in my history of online shopping, when a delivery fails they have to inform the company it’s from and me. 3 weeks? And delivery failed a week ago and they decided to keep my package? And they’re so rude too, I spoke to a rude Clement who refuses to communicate and give me an ETA. Mind you, this delivery was supposed to take a maximum of 5 days, today is working day 15.
Bought a couch here a month ago. Delivery was scheduled for 21 August. Supplier texts me saying Makro has cancelled my order because the courier company didn’t collect. Asks me to call Makro to confirm that I do still want the couch so they can send it to me because now they can’t because Makro has cancelled on them. I call Makro, they seem clueless. Now I’m stuck in this place where the supplier can’t send me the couch because Makro cancelled on them, but when I call Makro they say they will escalate the matter. It’s so frustrating. I’ve spent a whole month patiently waiting for this couch, dam*it.
The pizza’s amazing, no question. However, my partner and I had such a terrible experience when we went to order in store. The staff was shamelessly gossiping about us, very loudly too as if they wanted to make it a point that we hear them. Our interaction with the staff was literally just us greeting, placing an order, then being told when our pizza would be ready, so very minimal. They spewed micro aggressive/****** statements about me and my partner and laughed about it while we were standing there. It was so uncomfortable and it sucked so much because we really like the restaurant.
Firstly, they’re only getting one star because there is no lower rating available. I considered moving from my insurance to Pineapple and therefore signed up. I was told I could cancel my premium without being charged if I did so within 14 days. I cancelled it 2 days after, due to a better offer. 4 weeks later, I get a message saying I will be debited. I call them, they tell me it’s a mistake and the debit has been cancelled on their end. It wasn’t. They took my money. I disputed it due to the fact that I HAD in fact cancelled my contract. Then they want me an email saying they will charge me for disputing this debit order because I have apparently continued to “reap the benefits they have provided”. What benefits, when I wasn’t even with them for a day? They need to get their shvt together.

My friend and I bought a Hyperli spa voucher and contacted the spa immediately after purchase to make an appointment. In our communication to make the booking, we were then told that the instead of the 90 minute massage we were sold, Hyperli had made a mistake and the massage would only be 60 minutes. Disappointed, yet not wanting the admin to apply for a refund and search for a new deal, we continued with the booking. The appointment was confirmed, for the 22nd of May 2022. On the day we were supposed to go, about an hour before our appointment, they called us and canceled the appointment. We then asked for a refund, but we couldn't get it because the 7 days had passed. When we told her we didn't get our refund, an argument ensued and she blocked us on Whatsapp. This was so frustrating because we lost our money for nothing.

This was so frustrating because we lost our money for nothing.
