Had a claim and the process was so easy man, I actually got shocked that there are still insurance companies that make the claim process this seamless. I do wish there was a separate emergency number to contact for claims though. The waiting can be long.
I have been waiting for an approval on a tyre claim for nearly two weeks. This is my second negative review on these guys. When going through their rating, all the 5 stars are signing up with bidvest but not on claims
Their service plan is not worth it. They have too many limitations, as such in total you pay more than what they will be offering you. The only service plan that they ever paid for in full is R1900.00. and for a service that was R22 000.00 , they paid around R6500,00. and the rest has to come from you. What they offer is not realistic compared to your car service requirements. You actually pay them more than they pay for your service. If you decide to take a policy with them, run through what they offer and compare with the costs associated with servicing your car. I have done balance sheet and actually realized i could've saved money. Their processes and requirements will never be explained when you sign up. At instances of enquiry, you will have to deal with an extreme level of arrogance from their agents.
I don’t know what happened to Bidvest insurance. I have a tyre insurance policy with them ( Tyre Angel) and the process used to be seamless, from the claiming to approval process. Things have completely changed recently, they even want an affidavit for a tyre claim. I’ve lodged a claim in nearly two weeks from now and I haven’t recieved any response. I was told last week that I’ll receive an email and I haven’t. When you call, you will stay on line for an hour and not get a response. It’s almost as if service providers in South Africa are rendering bad services cause there are no consequences.
I went to Dis-Chem at Walmer Park in Gqeberha ( Monday, 3rd Feb, 2025) there was a guy there on the sports nutrition isle that was offering assistance. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but I have never met a person so well informed about sports nutrition the way that guy was. I was thoroughly impressed with him. Kudos to him and the store!

Had tracking devices installed in two cars, on one car the tracking system/ signal had about a 6 hour delay. I told them and they told me to monitor it, which didn't change anything really. The other car had a component theft protection error a few days after the installation. This is where I realized Netstar was about money and not customer service. I must have about 10 plus case numbers from them that were not addressed. To this day, not even single callback to check status of the vehicle. The only time they responded was to ask how am I sure if the electronic system fault is due to the fitment of the tracking unit. So I took the car the dealer to have the issue resolved and it could not be resolved: with the comments that the tracking unit needs to be removed before then they can attempt again. Since the car had gone to a different town, Netstar told me to bring the car to them which required me to travel about 700kms. They removed the tracker and I took the car back to the dealer and the fault was cleared. I'd give them zero stars if it were possible, they are not reliable for a company that sells reliability.
Claim lodged for CV joints mid March. We're at the end of the month now and I haven't heard anything from Motorite. I am starting to believe that these insurance companies take their clients for granted cause people can't fully comprehend of their rights. And bodies that are put in place to protect customers don't really care.
Ordered the phone overnight and it was delivered the next day. The phone is in a prestine condition and battery life is over 90%. I was concerned about being ****med and the turnaround in communication was swift, which relieved me of any worries. I really do hope you keep to such an excellent service, even when the business blooms bigger than what it is.
