After using Car City Randburg for the past four years, I have finally discovered that if they don't have a certain part for a particular vehicle, they just use any generic that fits. After replacing my oxygen sensors twice, and failing twice, I took my Mazda CX-7 to Woodmead Mazda, and they informed me that the oxygen sensors Car City supp**** would never work in my car as it's a specialist part, only supp**** by Mazda themselves. When I complained to Car City Head Office, an agent by the name of Lerato told me there is nothing that can do as the 6 month warranty had run out. Basically, tough on you buddy, suck it up. I encouraged many family and friends to use Car City initially, but now I see it is one big **** enterprise. My advice - avoid Car City like the plague itself.
I bought a vehicle in May 2024 from Bidvest Burchmore's and a week later they started inundating me with spam SMS's which has continued for a year and still goes on. I asked them to cancel sending me info online and they agreed to do it. In November 2024 I went to their office to complain and they apologised and said they would cancel my number immediately. They did not do that. I block every number on my phone but their AI system uses multiple numbers so I continually get spam messages about upcoming auctions. Here are some of their numbers: (all start with +27 696) 901 013 46948/901 013 65772/901 013 67790/901 013 32293/901 013 32263/901 013 97922/901 013 17936/901 013 62487/901 013 96795/901 013 46633/901 013 55458/901 013 97081/901 069 14324/901 013 32533/901 013 26016/901 013 22119/901 013 64452/901 013 15292/901 013 65559/901 013 40483/901 044 33387/901 013 45082/901 013 89770/901 04424084/901 013 33568/901 044 88747/901 013 27100/901 013 22370/901 013 70290/901 013 95360/901 013 20659/901 013 64666/901 013 26328/901 013 55462/901 013 51388/901 013 75136/901 013 37061/901 013 95069/901 013 38939/901 013 78534/901 013 41282/901 013 63071/901 013 95001/901 013 55053/901 013 10923/901 013 85377/901 013 79831/901 013 75762/901 013 16874/901 039 0584/901 039 0100/901 039 0886/901 013 99938/901 039 0895/901 045 41015/901 039 0572/901 013 57164/901 013 45439/901 013 95574/901 013 89747/901 013 31439/901 013 27075/901 013 87657/901 0139667/901 013 67544/901 013 19199/901 045 31095/901 013 63430/901 013 51475/901 046 31094/901 013 71154/901 013 80979/901 013 26365/901 013 44598/901 013 64860/901 013 74981/901 046 31076/901 013 72757/901 013 70783/901 013 94658/901 013 91938/901 013 66481/901 013 56719/901 013 35418/901 013 19630/901 013 74035/901 013 49027/901 013 21642/901 013 75485/901 013 97239/901 013 96332/901 013 76654/901 013 82979/901 013 96327/901 013 30410/901 013 95846/901 013 96704/901 013 19127/901 013 43801/901 013 13451/901 039 0598/901 013 47630/901 013 49213/901 013 52554/901 013 15219/901 013 38232/901 013 46099/901 013 37570/901 013 87719/901 013 96140/901 013 54651/901 013 45323/901 013 46456/901 013 38903/901 013 98182/901 013 97935/901 013 97323/901 046 31021 Sometimes I have just wiped the message because Burchmore's alone have jammed my SMS blocking so I can't block anybody else. I have more than 30 numbers that are not included in this note. This is obviously an AI BOT that notes I have blocked their number and then just moves on to the next number available to them in their system. I assume they are doing this to all previous clients that logged in to their site initially. I have sent a complaint to POPIA and hope they will do something about this. Lastly, I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER BURCHMORE VEHICLE and I'm sure other previous clients feel the same way, so this spamming has backfired terribly on them. Stupid...stupid...stupid!!!
I was looking to purchase a vehicle advertised for R380 000 and fortunately hired the brilliant View4You to inspect it first. They discovered that the dealer had covered up a massive accident that was never reported. It was spray painted badly, front end was badly damaged, misaligned bonnet, rattling panels etc. and the inspector said there was no doubt this vehicle was involved in a major accident. It’s not possible that the dealer was oblivious to the damage as they themselves admitted to repairing a “minor front side panel” in their own workshop on site. View4You saved us hundreds of thousands of rand and we thank them immensely. View4You were professional, on-time, slick, amazingly accurate and delivered an in-depth report that was spot on with their assessment. Thank you inspector Muzi and your entire team.

Many people don't trust insurance companies and sometimes they're correct. However, I have insured my personal home with OUTSURANCE for decades and they have always impressed me with service, speed and professionalism. I have had one major claim and a few very minor one's and they have dealt with each one with perfection. I was denied a roof leak claim once but they made me aware that I too have responsibilities to keep my house in good condition, and I agreed with them that it was my fault for not waterproofing more often and willingly paid for the repair myself. I hope I haven't cursed myself with this review and hope our relationship will remain as strong as it is today. I also think that enough clients don't give good reviews when they are looked after, due to sheer apathy and laziness (but are quick to complain when it's a problem) and I would like to thank all their call center staff for their amazing interactions. And yes, I would recommend OUTSURANCE to everybody.
Househoppers is a company that supposedly helps homeowners cut through red-tape to sort out council issues relating to property valuations and rates issues. However, they draw you in with an initial non-refundable payment to start the work on your issue/problem, spend many weeks "dealing with councils directly" and after about 6 weeks, they send you a long and extensive list of exactly what the council has charged you for which anybody can easily obtain on their own in about ten minutes going on-line to your own account. They then suggest that if you want to continue with your complaint/problem/issue, you need to send even larger amounts of non-refundable payments which steadily increase by about R1000 per option. There is no question in my mind that "Househoppers" found online at www.househoppers.co.za is a **** and a *****ulent company that is either in bed with the councils they deal with, or just using the council as a means to entice unsuspecting property owners. I handed them absolute proof of why I needed to question my re-evaluation on my property, being that the council is charging me for my neighbours property value who's house is on a double stand and 700 square meters larger than my own, which is also on video and with blatant proof of their error, and with the return result I got from Househoppers, it's blatantly obvious they did not even look at my submission. Do yourself a big favour - stay away from "Househoppers" and rather keep trying to work on the council yourself even though we all know what a nightmare it is.
Its pretty great but would be even better if (like Netflix) they give us the option of skipping long series and movie"intros" and to wrap to the next episode early while end credits are rolling. Also, an option for skipping ahead or backwards at different durations (currently forced on 30 seconds) and 10 seconds would be a good second option. Otherwise happy. Cal, South Africa.
I have sent two earlier reviews on the scam that British Airways, their Visa department "UK VISA" & their corrupt travel organiser "TLS" and as usual - all three of these organisations are too cowardly to even respond to my arguments and complaints. They refuse to acknowledge their obvious failures in dealing with clients, never allow contact with a human or supply telephone or mail addresses for appeal or have the guts to face travellers on their disgusting and offensive behaviour. All in all - corrupt, disorganised, scammers, thieves and the reason that the majority of flight companies are only in it for the greed and couldn't care less about the people who keep them in business. I look forward to these three "associated companies" going into bankruptcy sooner rather than later. I hope other potential customers save time, money and patience by flying with any other airline rather than this one.
My first post calling out BA and UK VISA as a massive scam is just the start of my war against a company that refuses to allow any contact when problems arrive. In fact, if you review BA and try and send the review to them from this platform at www.britishairways.com they have blocked their URL address to actually reject our Hellopeter review from being submitted. Their URL is open on normal google search for ticket bookings (obviously - they need to steal our money somehow) and the URL is fine, but your review from Hellopeter will be blocked entirely as the cowards refuse to deal with any issues that they're at fault for - and they are at fault for hundreds of issues, just read the BA reviews today. So if anyone sends a review about BA or UK VISA and in fact the other criminals in the loop "TLS" who also refuse to talk to you about any issues, don't try and send the review to their URL as it will reject the entire Hellopeter submission. It took me three days and twenty attempts to send my original review for submission because of their incompetence and failure to deal with problems. My review was the fact that they force you to buy an air ticket "BEFORE" you get a VISA and when they deny you that VISA, they keep the majority of the ticket price for "cancellation fees" which they create unlawfully. Stand by BA - this is going to get really ugly on all social media platforms. I may have lost R13 000 due to your ridiculous mistake, but I'm coming for you...
British Airways along with their VISA department "UK Visa Sandton South Africa" are playing a very dishonest & dangerous game. To apply for a UK Visa of any type, one is forced to firstly purchase an air ticket and only then apply for a Visa. I applied for a simple Transit Visa at Heathrow from BA to Air Lingus and through to Ireland which was my final destination. After a SIX-WEEK wait, I was e-mailed a one-page letter telling me I had filled in the wrong application for a transit visa and it was rejected. Astoundingly, UK Visa do not allow any appeal, do not supply any contact info including a return e-mail address or phone number. I then went to their Sandton offices and asked their staff to help me find what I had filled in wrong so I could get it sorted and if it was my mistake, I will re-apply. Five staff members could NOT find an error, agreed that I had submitted the exact documents but surprisingly refused to fast-track fix it or help me. Their instructions were to tell me I have no recourse whatsoever, no rights to appeal at all and I must just re-apply. They did not seem to understand that any re-application would have looked exactly the same as the first one as they could not find any errors in my documentation. So, here's the game they playing - force the traveler to buy an air-ticket, get them to apply for a Visa, reject the Visa and make them re-submit at a cost of another 740 Rand (or much more if time was an issue), pay more for fast-tracking - as they sat on the initial application for six weeks - which meant I had no time to get a new application approved without fast-tracking & paying their fee to do it of close to 3000 Rand for the "privilege." I was forced to purchase a new ticket on another airline being Egypt-Air who do not require transit Visas when going via Cairo, but because it was so close to my departure date it cost 7 000 Rand more than my original booking with BA. So, with the original costs for my BA/UK Visa flight of 12 500 Rand plus the Air-Egypt cost of 17 000 Rand I have lost close to 20 000 Rand in the mess that UK Visa and BA created when they denied a correctly submitted Visa which only allowed for a maximum twenty-four-hour airport stay, whereby I was never going to enter their country ever, just walk from one carousel in Heathrow to another and leave for Ireland within four hours of landing. This is the game and looking at the absolute chaos BA is going through with 50 percent canceled flights a day for the last six weeks, not enough ground staff to handle the flights in and out, maybe this is a good way to take our money, refuse to allow us to actually fly to the UK, give us zero recourse to appeal or find out why they refusing these Visa's and ultimately not have to be concerned with one more person cluttering up their chaotic Heathrow system. I would like to let BA and UK Visa understand that this is just the first of many social media responses I will be making - I will stop when they refund every lost Rand and apologise for their inefficiency and disdain for their passengers who are supposedly being encouraged to fly to Britain and spend our hard-earned money on their tourism
