I have received a terrible service from the claims department. I initially sent them a refund claim email and they only acknowledged my email a week later. I am currently on the 4th week of following up on them about a R450 refund claim. Their customer service is terrible!!!
I had a data contract with MTN that expires this month, when I went to cancel it on the 29th of October 2024, they told me that they have already billed me for November by the 27th of October. They said they are not able to cancel it now, that I was suppose to give them 30 days notice even though they knew that the contract is expiring by the end of this month. I had no agreement with them to bill me for November as my contract expires at the end of October. They said this is how business works.
I am an Uber driver and I got ****** my wallet and phone that I use to work. After opening the case to the police station, I then reported the incident to Uber. When I asked them to compensetion for my R3000 phone that was ****** from me by one of their riders, they told me that they can't compensate me for my phone.
They paid me a refund of R1016 but I paid them R1800 montly premium after they had already rejected my claim. I was expecting that they will refund me the full amount because there is no service they gave me after they had rejected my claim.
1. When I was involved in a car accident and needed a family run transport, that was my first time to be told that my premium doesn't cover a family run, so I had to make my own arrangements on how do I get back home. 2. They rejected my insurance claim because I only yielded on the stop and didn't fully stop even though the speed I was traveling with was only 31km/h. 3. I appealed the decision while I continued paying my monthly premium while my car was stuck by the panel beaters yard. My appeal was not successful and they refused to refund me the premium payments I did after the accident since now they have rejected my claim and now left with the costs of fixing my own car. 4. When I wanted to cancel my policy with them, they told me that the do not do cancelations in the middle of the month.
There was a background noise from the side of the person who was assisting me and that caused some difficulty in hearing.
