I was forced by circumstance to visit Clicks Atlantis recently. The chaos outside the mall was unbelievable, and since I don’t walk well — and it was about five million degrees — I called ahead to find out exactly where they were. The lady on the phone tried her best to guide me, but we missed each other. Then, to my surprise, as I entered one of the mall gates, a lady in a Clicks uniform walked straight towards me and said, “Was it you I just spoke to?” She introduced herself (I think she’s the manager or supervisor) and personally took me into the store and to the dispensary, asking if there was anything else she could help with. What an incredible contrast from the chaos just 50 metres outside. Inside, the store was calm, cool, and beautifully run. Every staff member seemed to know exactly what they were doing. I was then helped by a tiny lady — honestly a third my size — who noticed I wasn’t doing too well. She told me, very kindly but firmly, “Please go sit down, let me get you some water.” What an incredible experience. I could have sat in that queue for hours, just soaking in the peace. Clicks stores are generally well run, but this one was exceptional. 2000 out of 10 for the manager, and at least 1000 out of 10 for the store. Absolute credit to Clicks Atlantis — thank you for restoring my faith in good service.

My wife Heike and I rolled in for dinner expecting a solid small-town meal, but we left utterly transformed, already plotting our next 150km pilgrimage from Cape Town just for lunch. If stars were infinite, I'd shower this place with galaxies! We kicked things off with starters that set the bar stratospherically high. For Heike, the cheese bombs were a delicate explosion of creamy, molten bliss—golden orbs of pure indulgence that melted on the tongue like forbidden ambrosia. "Remarkable," she whispered, eyes wide with that quiet joy only the truly exceptional can evoke. Me? I dove headfirst into the chorizo bombs, and holy heavens, they were INCREDIBLE! Smoky, spicy chorizo wrapped in a crispy shell, bursting with savory fire—each pop was a mini fireworks show for my taste buds. We polished them off faster than you can say "second helping," and trust me, as a big guy who's no stranger to hearty eats, these weren't just appetizers; they were a promise of wonders to come. Heike's main, the salmon salad, was nothing short of poetry on a plate—fresh, flaky salmon perched atop a vibrant medley of greens, citrus zing, and that subtle dressing that ties it all together like a Swartland sunset. It was light yet luxurious, polite perfection for her refined palate, leaving her glowing with satisfaction. "This is what dining dreams are made of," she said, and who am I to argue? But let's talk about my beef espetada—good lord, what a beast! Tender, flame-kissed skewers of premium beef, threaded with herbs that infused every inch, then slathered in garlic butter so rich it cascaded like liquid gold onto a mountain of chips that could only be described as "more than ample." Those golden fries? Soaked in that herbaceous, garlicky nectar, each one a crunchy, buttery revelation. I'm a large man, built from years of chasing big flavors, and this meal didn't just fill me—it rocked my culinary world to its core, leaving me in a euphoric haze where portion sizes felt like generous hugs from the chef. I've eaten at Michelin spots that wish they could deliver this level of soul-stirring satisfaction. And the ambiance? Flawless. The music wove through the air like a live soundtrack to our bliss—smooth jazz with a South African twist that had us swaying in our seats. The waitrons? Five stars feels insultingly stingy; this place deserves its own constellation. If you're anywhere near Porterville (or even if you're not—hello, road trip!), drop everything and go. If there were a rating beyond five stars, Xneelo — and especially Kyron — would deserve it. Superlatives and accolades simply aren’t enough to capture the difference between Xneelo’s service and that of any other company, in any industry, anywhere in this country. From the first contact to the final solution, Kyron demonstrated something that feels almost extinct in South African service culture: genuine care, patience, and professionalism. He didn’t just resolve the issue — he owned it, communicated clearly, and left me feeling not like a client, but like a valued partner. Xneelo consistently delivers support that is prompt, intelligent, and personal. It’s the kind of excellence that makes you rethink what “customer service” should mean. If every company operated with this level of competence and integrity, South Africa would be a different place entirely. It is difficult to slate the entire of Discovery Health, as they are really terrific, but I am jsut not getting an answer - I have had two emails asking if my query has been resolved, to which I sent back twice, NO, but have now being going on for 20 days now... Very poor indeed.
Though this is a bit of a double edged review, IT need be said - I called Xneelo and spoke on whatsapp chat - they were busier than i hav eever experienced and I cancelled as I was not interested in waiting any longer - 5 mins aftger that, I get a call from support appologizing for the congestion, how can they assist? My issue was sorted real quick and again, I reiterate - I have not met or seen a company in SA that can not learn from the service of Xneelo - I hope I have not ****ed out whomever assisted me.

One would think that 59 minutes is more than enough time to find a solution for a service query, but not with this company. It took me that long just to speak to a human on the other side that may be able to effect a solution. And that was Raeesa from Durban who called me, as she likely understood my distress on the chat. Thank you for that Raeesa. I Was constantly being put through to depertments that did not answer, teh longest one was 18 minutes.... Simply not acceptable.
Though I have purchased here before, I forgot he good Stanler is on price and even more so on purpose and service. Fantastic service from Ashley, who has answered ALL my questions and quickly and provided me with the quotes before I could say Rumpelstiltskin.
I just have to commend Utah Spur in Bothasig for the outstanding service we received. Our waiter, Silumko (whose name fittingly means "be wise" in English), was simply exceptional. His demeanor, attitude, and service were top-notch—confident without being ****y, charming without being forward, and humble in buckets. We were in a rush, needing to get to an appointment, but the service was so efficient and enjoyable that we actually chose to linger a little longer—our decision, and one we didn’t regret! My wife and I eat at Spur fairly often, visiting different locations, and I can confidently say this one stands above at least three others we've dined at in the past month. Well done, Utah Spur team, and a huge thank you to Silumko! Keep up the great work!
