I am done with FNB – I have been inquiring for more than a month! First, At the branch Then On secure chat Then On ***** email, And now digitalcalls. Now today you telling me to speak to Planet 42, after I have told ALL the above departments, THEY DO NOT RESPOND, THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE. Now you telling me 30 days passed, I cannot reverse this! Unbelievable! THE RECIPIENT DOES NOT RESPOND! I AM VERY DISAPOINTED IN FNB!!!!
Bought a TV from Makro early December 2023 – last weekend something happened, and the screen went black, then rainbow trips at times. I called Makro Monday the 22 July to asked them re my warrantee, they lady assisted me and unfortunately, I didn’t have the model and serial number with me at work, so the call was logged Monday, Tuesday I had to call and give them the model and serial number – I did that. They then said a technician will call to come to my house 3-5 days - we waited, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday…..nothing. I called Makro call centre again Monday the 29th of July – the lady said the technician was supposed to go to my house Friday, and if he couldn’t make it, he was supposed to call and make a new appointment – that never happened, no one from Hisense called me -to this very second. She then said she will quickly follow-up and they will send me an email before end of business – yesterday. Up to now no one has emailed me, no one has called me, and I my very expensive TV is not working. Very disappointing from both, Makro and Hisense! So what I am supposed to do now – JUST WAIT??

here we go again.... long story short - we had an accident on the 26th of January, after many frustrations and Auto&General admitting my claim was delayed for 10 days, first it sounded like my car was a right off, then a week later, it was going to be repaired, then a week later my car was a right off again - painful but we finally got things sorted. Last week I had two choices, buy back my car, settle the finance, get paid out. OR settle my finance and get paid out (I have the emails confirming this). The claim consultant then asked for documents, that I immediately actioned on; within a few minutes she called me back, saying she spoke to ASBA who my finance was with, they will send her the reg papers within 72hours, she will then call me, settle my finance and pay me what was owed to me - she said it should be by Tuesday this week (the 5th March). Monday the 4th I sent an email asking her if everything is good, no reply. Tuesday, I sent a reminder, asking if she'd receive the paperwork from ABSA yet - no reply. Wednesday I called - I was told I had to send the paperwork, then the calculation will be done ext. ext. the same story I was told last week Wednesday, I got a but frustrated and told the lady we have done all this already, I gave her the name of the lady I was communicating with - I then was told this lady is off sick, so does that mean my claim now had to wait for this lady to get back from sick leave to get finalised? So, I resent all my emails to the consultant assisting me, she promised to call me back before end of business. Its Thursday again, she confirmed receipt of my emails, but has not responded, also still waiting for her to call back. I have no car; I have no money yet from Auto& General. Just a recap: accident was on the 26th of January, today is the 7th of March - it’s really been a very bad, sad, and exhausting experience Auto&General!

A week later I was contacted by Auto& General, I had to re-submit all documents via email. A week later I had to follow-up, another week later, I had to follow-up. Finally on the 16th of February 2024 - the claim was approved - hallelujah! 3 weeks My car is at Renew it in Greenstone - from the 16th of February 2023, I have received SMS text - but nothing constructive - basically saying the same thing over and over, using different wording. Today I called Renew it in Greenstone, I asked why from the 16th of February 2023, the messages I am receiving has different wording, but the progress on my repair has not changed. The lady told me they (Renew It in Greenstone) only received my car from my insurer on the 16th of February 2023, also they received to authorisation from my insurer the same day. I then said, okay, but I need to know why the progress remains the same. She then said they did all the assessments and now are waiting for the final pricing, if there is something they missed, it has to go back to my insurer to approval, if not, they order the parts, if the parts are not in stock, it will take 7-10 days to get these parts, then obviously they have to schedule the repair in their workshop. I then said - holy moly so it is very possible I will only get by car back-end March, she said, yes, I must remember they only received the car on the 16th of February 2023. So Auto& General took 3 weeks to approve my claim. Renew-it in GREENSTONE - estimates my car will be ready end March - that is about 6 weeks. total time I will be without my car is 9 weeks - that is more than two months. There is absolutely nothing I can do to speed this up, according to Renew-it, neither can they. So, I am just sitting without a car - and I am supposed to be patient. What the hell!!

The promises are claims to be done within 14 days - it’s been 18 days and still we have no clue as to what will happen to our Ford Fiesta. The person handling the claim keeps waiting for me to follow-up with her. I told her before my son works nightshift so calling him or anyone working with him is challenging - I told her. Last week I had to make an appointment so she could call my son, because she claims she called several times but with no answer (but not ones called me to say my son was not answering) - then Friday last week, nothing, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - nothing. I then again had to send an email asking progress - this morning I received an email again saying she can’t get hold of my sons ****orker, she is hoping she can get hold of him today - again the boys work nightshift - as I explained to her last week, we need to make an appointment so these boys knows when she will call - but again - I was not told she couldn’t get in contact with him. The accident happened two Fridays ago - up to now I have no idea what the damage is on my car, I have no idea if the person who is the reason for the accident has been contacted, will him or his company pay the access, what is the access, after this person finally gets hold of everybody she needs to call, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE CLAIM DONE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WILL I WAIT ANOTHER 4 WEEKS TO GET MY CAR FIXED???
Not to my surprise - its been another month - and still i have not received an update - still i am waiting for my wifi to be moved...just from the kitchen to the TV room. I hoped after the last time, this matter would be sorted - MWEB is quick to take my money every month but gosh having to wait more than 3 months to have a line moved is terrible - from MWEB and Vumatel!! Please guys i am begging now.............CAN YOU PLEASE GET THIS DONE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
