After along time vodacom not telling me how much I need to pay to cancel, they told and sent me the form. I filled in the form went where they were in Walmer Park, paid the amount and submitted the form. I was told it's sorted. Now they keep sending me invoices after I've canceled. It's up to R2556, 88 on an account that's canceled. How do they continue to charge when the account has already been canceled? When you call you only get machines, no person to talk to who can resolve the issue.
Today I got a call from these people, I told them lady I'm not interested in whatever she's selling. She said okay and dropped the call. 10 min later I get an sms saying I concented to a free debt review. I never concented to anything. How can these people do this? Where did they get my ID number?
I have been trying to get vodacom to send me a settlement amount for about a month now. The best I could get after finally getting a person on the phone, which I feel is a delaying tactic, is an sms saying, 'you will receive an Sms & Email with your exact cancellation or conversion rate. Until such time, your vodacom cancellation is not confirmed.' They are taking a long time just to tell me how much I owe them. How is this even legal? All the details of my account are in their system, they use them to bill me and are able to tell me how much I owe them each month, but cannot give me an early cancellation quote. They have delivered a good service until, now. I don't know how I can ever want to use them is it is this difficult to cancel a contract. They are changing my opinion of them with each delaying tactic they are using. It is sad because I would have like to use the again should I need another cell phone contract in the future.
I just got a call from Debt Clear, They said they work for the government to reduce the high interest rates citizens are paying, they had my details and said they wanted to confirm the last 5 digits of ID number because of the POPI act. As soon as they confirmed, I got an sms that said I gave consent to request my credit report on 2025-05-19. Reason: Affordability Assessment. Finance Deb Clear 2. I never gave consent, these people should be investigated. As soon as someone on the phone tells you they need to confirm your ID number because of the POPI act, it's these people, don't trust them.
I paid late in December which caused my account to be in arrears, I called in to make an arrangement. I was told to pay R2135 for four concecutive months and the matter will be resolved. I paid the first month, I got a call weeks later, I told the debt collector I made an arrangement. She told me you can only make an arrangement for 1 month, the next month you must do another arrangement, if people call you now ignore them. I think they charge you everytime they call, which sounds like ****ming people if the arrangement has to be re-done every month. Two months in I notice there is no change in the amount I'm requested to pay to make things right. I called and was told the lady at the Markhams counter captured the payment wrong, she opened a 12 month account instead of putting the money in the 6 month account that I have. Now the money gets split into the two accounts that's why it's not making a difference when I pay. The gentleman said he will fix it, I asked for that in writing he said they don't do that. I must pay at the end of the month and it will show up on the slip if they fixed it. I have been called twice already, noone is acknowledging the error, they are still calling me to pay the large amount which is the result of their person's error. How is this fair?
My name is Bongani Robin, I applied for FNB Home Loans to give me back a portion of the money I have paid extra on my loan. It's call Prepaid something. I was told it takes about a week to get a payout, two weeks tops. I applied on the 29th December 2022 and have not gotten my payout to date. After struggles with my consultant, I was told it has gone to verification where I will get a call for them to do the payout. It was not happening. Finally I wrote to the HLdocs.co.za which were apparently the guys who were going to do the payout stating that I applied on the 29th December 2022, it is the 18th January and I have not had the payout. On the 19th January they did call at about 5pm, at the time I was in a taxi going home and I was not able to attend the call. I keep calling and I keep getting told stay next to the phone, Is this the only way? Is it impossible to verify some other way in order to pay a client? I probably sound like just a disgruntled client, they probably have a lot of clients they are dealing with. How am I supposed to trust that they care for me as the client, it is the 25th today. I'm afraid this is making me feel like keeping my account with FNB is not good for me. We have worked together so well for so long, I wish that this could be resolved soonest. Bongani
Harassment, they called me claiming I have an account with Lendcor which I never had. Lendcor once tried to defraud me, where apparently a fellow named Akhona Carlos Mhamha forged my signature. After resolving with the Lendcor lawyer(a Ms Ncumisile Mchunu) that it was indeed fraud. I was contacted by a Nombuso Mabo(legal clerk) from Lendcor to go and close the account acquired by fraudulent means, which I was not able. Also I informed her of my predicament and requested that they close it on my behalf. I now a year later started getting harassed by Easton berry's, when I informed them of what transpired, they asked me to sent an Afidavit stating what I am saying. I have done so twice to collectionqueries@rebinc.co.za. I am still getting harassed, non-stop.
